I went to EDC Orlando and it was nuts with the rides and all, but it doesn't compare to a 5-day flagship festival like TomorrowWorld. Here's how I see it: EDC: For ravers who like rides n' shit Ultra: For clubbers/ravers who want to see literally every fucking DJ in the world TomorrowLand/World: More of its own "world" where everything is themed magically with camping (which is fucking awesome in itself) As you can see, TL/TW kicks EDC's and Ultra's ass but all three are excellent festivals.

True, eventually you "win" the game and run out of stuff to do. You could combat this with expansion plugins like McMMO, Factions, and Tekkit or server resets/game changes but unfortunately Minecraft servers will eventually die with the exception of those massive servers like the Game of Thrones replica one. I do think it's much worth the money for the time it is popular. Then after x months or years when it dies down we can just cut the server off so no money is being wasted. Possibly people will get an itch for Minecraft after a long time like what's happening now and agree to help pay to start a new server, and then the cycle repeats.

Yeah no forreal PB was always full (might have been able to raise the 24 player cap). That was the server I played 80% of the time back then. I like the progress so far and would probably be on it 80% of the time were it to become polished and decently populated. PB needs more admin supervision than say ZE because of instead of bans being 99% mic spam and racism, you got people not only spamming/whatever, but you have freekillers/CTswhobreaktheir500rules/do T's even have rules? Luckily me and many SAs and staff I know love PB so there should be an admin on the server most of the time which was true on JB a few years back with some admins playing for many hours on end (Scoutkllr/Korean/Eskhomo/Korean/Exrev/Moo/SG/Deafy/etc).

For one, I would push advertising our other servers on ZE more. ZE brings in a lot of randoms that see our ZE server on gametracker or whatever who might not have a "home" server/community. Then I'd also push becoming an SG Mem on all servers and especially ZE because we could basically reel them in to keep playing on our servers and also get more traffic on the forums (all I see is green and blue 90% of the time) and less lurkers. Plus every player that wears the SG Mem/Reg tag would basically be advertising whatever match/server they go on. I thought about giving Mems/Regs an incentive in game (a skin or chat command idk) but I realized it'd be a pain to have to add all those new guys to sourcebans/plugins. Processing all those Mem/Reg applications would probably make me wan't to kill myself too. So it has it's benefits and negatives. We get more server traffic through "advertising" our servers and Reg/Mem, plus forum traffic which has its own +/- too. The applications/setting Mems/Regs up would be a strain on the slaves CAs/AOs/BDs, but at least the SAs can reap more kills get some more action and experience especially considering that many of the to-be-revived/renovated servers (Jailbreak, TTT, RP, etc) require more admin supervision than ZE.

Yeah we had that plugin it's called Factions. We also had a plugin that locked chests and doors that let you add authorized users (Factions mod also blocks non faction members from using doors/chests/whatever in the faction plot).There are plenty anti grief plug-ins such as Guardian that shows who edited what and reverts all changes up to a specified time period. I've managed dozens of MC servers since infdev and edited probably thousands of YAML files along with SQL all though FTP. I would LOVE to help set up the server and am willing to throw buckets of money to support it if needed.

I'd scout out the massive 1000 player servers and survey the players as to why they prefer that server.

IF population declines we could variably adjust our server plan according. For example, if we spend a lot on a big server and have it always full, great. If suddenly only 5-10 are playing, we could just drop to a cheaper option until it starts to reach max capacity.

132 should be nowhere near what a basic server costs, even if you meant per 3 months which is still 40+. The first server host I googled had a 2GB SSD VPS for $20/mo.

The popularity bell curve seems to be true for all servers even our CSGO ones but it's especially worse for MC (which is why it failed so often). Mostly regulars play for a while and make factions (add in QQ, etc) exploring all that is new in the newest updates, then get bored and quit. We'd have to brainstorm something innovative to both attract and retain players. Off the top of my head are regular hunger games events, various mods like Tekkit, monthly map wipes, multiple worlds[survival/creative/hardcore], scavenger hunts, rewards that transfer over to our CS servers (ex. win a contest in MC and you win store credits in CSGO).

Hunger games seems to get a big hit right now so that is definitely up for consideration. Also another reason our server died was pure monotony. After everyone builds their megacomplexes and crafts their Labarr-blasting death rays, that's their end game. Replayability is key which I think can be brought back with aesthetic architecture/various mods(especially protection mods)/and advertising where allowed.

I will scout out the most popular MC servers and see what we can bring to our server. The Game of Thrones MC server for example is absolutely incredible. While we can't build something that massive with our manpower, we can substitute cool plugins like for example Factions which worked perfectly as an anti-grief measure. I have decent familiarity with Java so I may be able to scratch up some simple mods.

I fucking loved Minecraft and it's what brought me to SG back in 09-10 infdev era. It's a shame that we closed our MC server which at one point always reached max capacity. Therefore I am willing to drop $40 purely to get a new MC server up and $80 if I am allowed to administrate it somewhat(under the supervision of higher ups, of course). As for my qualifications, I can fluently code in HTML, Javascript, and (somewhat fluently) Java and mySQL. I have set up and managed at least 5 different servers ranging from vanilla to Tekkit using FTP in all of them so I know all the plugins/config and commands inside and out. I LOOOOOOOOVE MC and it was one of the greatest games of my child hood. Anyone else interested? CALLING: @SilentGuns and @Nishok

Some kind of virtual surround sound I assume, much like the virtual surround sound in gaming headsets. The new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge seems to be a lot better than the M9. This is coming from someone who loved the M8 but jumped to the iPhone 6 for the seamless user experience.

I was thinking about driving down to Tallahassee to see him there but I decided it wasn't worth the $120 minimum extra I would spend. I have heard people say it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Even looking at his liveset you can tell his stage/video/light presentations are all well done, even if you don't like EDM. There's a fucking 3D projector! Deadmau5 also has a very well done stage. Also my favorite artists sooooooo......
