I use a ghetto old school optical laser mouse that doesn't have the least bit of padding, I used to game for hours and nothing would hurt. So, I don't understand where you guys are coming from when you say the mouse is uncomfortable.

That's called ping masking, I'd advise you to just stick to using these rates. rate 25000 cl_cmdrate 100 cl_updaterate 100 cl_interp 0.01 cl_interpolate 1

Go to Setup on the right hand side of vent, then go to the place where it says "Hotkey." Then click on it and type in any key, once you do that you click apply, then when you're in-game, all you need to do it hit that key to talk to people in vent and then the other key you have set up in CS:S to talk to people on the server.
