  8. Well I really don't know about space, any foreign objects coming into our atmosphere I know can be directly picked up by many types of radars.. Be it geographical satellites, to weather radars, military, FAA, Local / residential enthusiasts (ham radio, meteorologists & geologists etc) can surely detect these things via radio graphs etc, but lets say its not stationary, traveling at the speed of sound or light, than I'm pretty sure they can't put a trace on it than. Now, I may have been talking out of my ass there that sure, everybody, satellites, radars etc etc can pick up everything, they sure do mistake objects sometimes!! They have came a long way to distuinguish between a blip on the screen from a bird to something unusual right, ATControllers freak out when a transponder becomes inactive / blip drops from the screen or illuminates with nothing to confirm with right. So sure, anything within our earth's atmosphear we can trace / track within reason. It takes (depending again on the location) anywhere from 10-30 minutes for fighter jets to scramble to a location...So sure they can get to the spot quick enough to help out. I've been in that situation a couple times, where the weather became so bad and my IFR training was fresh of the top of my head I forgot some things, flying solo, and I couldn't find the airport, I set my transponder to an emergency squawk frequency, and 10 minutes later ( seemed like an eternity ) a Cf 18 Hercules guided me into Trenton AFBase in ON, Canada ( mind you Hercules airplane compared to my Piper Cherokee turbo single prop plane... ) It takes time for these things and, again the location!

  15. Oh... I knew when I opened this thread it'd be a couple American dick heads bashing the Canadians as usual... Nothing else better to do with their time...Go fucking figure... Must be the guitar hero Beatles craze...
  16. Snakes... No, even if they "flew under the radar" it's just a Hollywood trick. Christ sakes, if ATControllers can pick up birds mistakenly sometimes as a aircraft on radar, any time... than I highly doubt it'd be possible for a Cessna aircraft to do that, even though he removed/turned off his transponder still wouldn't be able to. They'd ask for any other traffic in the sky to maintain/look for a visual on the "UFO" if need be. Still, he would have been better off to just leave her alone... Seriously didn't think this one through too hard! - coming from an experienced pilot, I can respectfully say that he's a brain dead moron who got caught red handed!!
  17. I have my private pilot's license, and outside of Toronto ON YYZ out towards Guelph / Hamilton is specifically "uncontrolled airspace" by the 401, it's on the bridge of Intl. Departures from 24L, and I've came pretty close to the 401 (highway) and raced a few cars here and there but it's all tracked within NORAD, any other Air Traffic Control airports / residents & by the Cdn. Government (military) Now with the states, the air-laws are alot tougher than up here in Canada. There are Instrument Landing Systems localizes on the particular aircraft when it's in it's area, so the good ol' Federal Aviation Administration, NORAD, US Government and any other yacko on their computer can also track & trace your flight path any time EVEN if you haven't flown your flight plan accordingly. If not you are considered an UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) and the military would have scrambled their fighter jets within minutes of being tracked. Now consider this, why hasn't this been brought up by any ATC, even if he was doing flight circuits around the area, this could also be used as proof/evidence, so no matter what the guy could find a way around that, if he wasn't so stupid about it in the first place.. As an aviation enthusiast this made me laugh quite a bit, I've actually printed this section off and I'll be posting it in the radio room at my local airport here for others to get a laugh at.. He wasn't really thorough when he thought this through now wasn't he? lol!
  18. Mmmmm Poutine?

Use this program to let us know what kind of ram, frequency the ram is... ( common problem sometimes people run @ 233 mHz x 3 ram sticks and 1 333 mHz stick of ram, which would bottleneck the cpu's performance ) Visit http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php I want to know what kind of chipset your running etc first to see start a troubleshooting flowchart for ya. Cheers!
