Ok, thanks. It is for my cousin's build, and there is a good deal for a 4gb kit (2x2gb) but he already has the motherboard, cpu, etc, just needed some ram.

Is it possible? I know that DDR3 can be picky sometimes, and that you shouldn't even miss match speeds, or timings. With DDR2 it was pretty much if it fits it works, it was so convenient I have been trying to find out if this is possible, but google was no help

Ya, I know what you mean. The most annoying thing is the cpu. I am not good at putting the right amount of thermal paste on, I often put not enough.

That's an elusive smell, I've never smelt that one, thankfully. That sucks though, they are my favorite PSU manufacturer, you just got the 1 in 10000 that fail within a month

Most of those are older games, most newer games do not have "the way it's meant to be played" anywhere on/in them. What nvidia has done since the 8000 series people have not liked. They have rebranded so many cards, meaning that ATI has picked up in market share, as people wanted new cards, not older rebrands. They also just lost a big time partner BFG. It is no longer aboot what GPU manufacturer your card is, but which GPU is better.

It's not 2004 anymore. PhysX is almost dead, ATI has better performance per dollar, and Nvidia is better for the very high end, think 5870, 5970, GTX480, GTX495 (when it comes) No games are ever designed to run specifically run with nivida.
