... The PC will not read the new hardware, it only recognizes the onboard motherboard sound, which I disabled and then it didn't detect the hardware either. I'm pretty sure either the motherbard, the port, or the card is broken.

So uh, I have a shitty sound situation. I have headphones, surround sound speakers, and a standalone mic. My computer? Motherboard integrated sound (read as vent crashing.) My friend gave me his X-fi titanium Fatility pro. So last night I pop it into the PCI-E port, and shit does not work. It will not read the hardware. I went to BIOS and I disabled onboard sound for the motherboard... still won't read the card. What now ;_;
