  1. Was trying to see how much support people had for the idea. I guess it was not enough with the right people. Worth a shot.
  2. So what will it take to get it back and not the dreaded "We have discussed this before" response? Let's not get into pointless ranks and boosting e-peens with ranks.
  3. I'm sorry I didn't leave a note for you. If it makes you feel better, I request not to be added as an HG based on my leave of absence if we do re-implement the title.
  4. Sup So, I finally got bored enough to come back to SG and I figured I'd try an HG revival out of left field. It's really been my plan all along to bring back the purple. There shouldn't be criteria involving money donated or years of service related to being an admin. There are already admin promotion ranks and it shouldn't be a glorified or "Super" supporter position. It should be up to the CE's or above to dish it out based on length of participation and actual worth to the community. I don't think any criteria should consist of definite numbers of posts or dollars, just that those deciding have a ballpark idea as to what is considered an HG. Besides, if we have posts or dollars deciding the rank, you'll just get the inevitable bitching about how so and so have gotten the requirements done and are mad that they aren't HG yet. If the criteria is being a valued member of the community rather than posts/money, members' goals are not going to be to post/donate to be HG. Its sort of a reward, not an application like you would fill out with being an admin or member.
  5. 1.) Garfield opposed it, so logic dictates it was probably a good thing. 2.) Some people would get offended by an "Oldfag" title. 3.) Irish, the Account Admin, does not look good in purple. 4.) A promotion title for people who don't want to admin the servers or pay for it. 5.) Doctor's say it increases your e-penis. I say that effect should be free, not dictated by donations. 6.) The only way you could "troll" and get away with it without having the ability to remove your own ban. 7.) I was promised a magical telepathic ability to detect The Fail in the Escape server with it. I never got it and I demand satisfaction. 8.) It was "OSSIM!" It worked!
  6. I think we should bring back HG's for the glory of ZombieMurder!
  7. March Madness

We would have tired out UConn before the second half. No team is good winded.
  8. March Madness

It upsets me that from watching that "championship" game, VCU could have embarrassed UConn. Looks like Butler isn't much without the help of the damn zebras. I thought I was watching women's basketball at one point, so I couldn't bear to watch past the end of the 1st half.
  9. March Madness

I just don't understand how you can call everything for Butler's side of the court while our players are being shoved to the ground.
  10. March Madness

WWaLxFIVX1s The refs did suck donkey dick though.
  11. March Madness

Maybe now, Dick Vitale and Jay Bilas can have a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up. DOUBT IT
  12. March Madness

NOW can we be taken seriously? Sorry for ruining everyone's brackets by the way. A couple hours later, the twins were crying.
  13. March Madness

Holy hell, it is a mad house here right now. Got police trying to round up the students back into their dorms and the news chopper is getting great footage of the mob of fans.
  14. March Madness

TO THE ELITE 8!!!! GO RAMS!!
  15. March Madness

Don't worry. Due to the recent course of events in the tournament, some teams have appropriately changed their logos.
  16. March Madness

    Lol, Duke done goofed.
  17. March Madness

It will be a constant bacchanalian orgy until we go home for the summer onto which the festivities will be spread to our respective hometowns. The the cityscape will be razed to the ground besides the dense population of 7-Elevens. It will be uninhabitable for the next several years.
  18. March Madness

I think the fact that people are now expecting us to win against FSU indicates we will lose. Whenever we were destined to win big games in our division, we would find a way to lose. If it does (by some other miracle) come down to Richmond vs. VCU for the Final Four, that will probably be one of the best games of the tournament. We have enough of a rivalry as it is with our exhibition game that happens every season, so I can't even imagine the carnage to ensue from that scenario.
  19. March Madness

2 Big East teams remaining in the tournament. 2 Richmond teams remaining in the tournament. LMFAOGTFOESPN

    Sweet 16 for my Rams!

    VCU!!!
  22. This would be the biggest size possible I write like this because of the whole thing with HG being removed, yada yada... basically you either didn't pay attention at the time or you are too new. If they do investigate, it just proves how much of a joke that police department is and how desperate the die hard Montreal fans are. You do know they use microphones to amplify sounds on the broadcasts, right? You also have to take into consideration that he was not focusing on the player impacting the wall, so IF he heard a noise, why would he immediately investigate if he is worried about trying to play the game? Again, you do not know what the sound was like at the position because you have never played in that arena, under those circumstances, with that crowd capacity. You need evidence to prove he did something wrong, not assumptions. For the bolded section: So for any given professional player, they would know precisely where they are? I'm pretty sure you would find fuck ups from players in any sport for being in the wrong position. They probably do have a greater "inner radar" that amateur players, but the fact is this heightened sense is human (if it truly exists). Humans tend to make errors A LOT of the time, so you would have to prove to me that he is a flawless player. To sum all of this up, you have no evidence to support your claim, but you have a ton of assumptions.
  23. I'm sorry, I didn't know you had NHL experience on the ice in an ice rink full of people probably screaming their heads off as well as other players skating around, making noise as well. Please enlighten me to the exact level of sound made by that "BANG" and the required level of sound necessary for a player to pay attention to it under those circumstances. Oh, you don't know? Assumptions don't equate to the facts. It isn't necessary for a "wtf" moment when you are focusing on something else. Notice how he wasn't raging against the other player who wanted to have a word with him. Also, when you intend on hitting someone into something forcibly, you tend to look at the object as you throw the person into it. When you perform an action with intent or malice, you want to see what happens to the person during/right after the action. He didn't do any of these things. So, for a guy who was trying to "kill" someone, as some enraged fans would like us to believe, and who might have had some malice against the person, he didn't look too satisfied with what he did. Maybe he is such a great actor; maybe he takes lessons on his off days. All I know is there is not enough from the footage involving the hit or his reaction to indicate he intended on nailing the guy in the head with the edge of the wall.
  24. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/10/montreal-cops-investigating-hockey-hit/?hpt=T2 Why so serious? The guy got punished during the game for an unintentional play that resulted in a serious injury. Nothing else should be done about the incident, so they need to get over it.
