  3. 70.42.74.135:7777 Rust has Left. Ark has entered the scene! As many of you have probably noticed, we have removed the Rust server, and replaced it with an Ark:Survival Evolved server! We all had a great time in Rust, however it is time for some change! A big thanks to everyone who helped with the server, played on it, and also recommended changes! I'm sure someday we'll take another look into Rust. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is Ark? As a man or woman stranded naked, freezing & starving on a mysterious island, you must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, & build shelters to survive. Use skill & cunning to kill, tame, breed, & ride Dinosaurs & primeval creatures living on ARK! Is anything unique about our server? Our Server has been modified to enhance both the PvP and PvE sides of Ark, while also keeping it exciting well into the late game stages! This includes increased gather, faster taming, and a more hostile world in various parts of the island. Donations and subscriptions! At this time we sadly do not have any donation or subscriber perks in the server. However, this is one of our upcoming priorities! Be sure and watch both the Subscriber side of the forums, and the Ark side of the forums for updates regarding this! How can I help? Ark has an interesting server system, where servers do not show in the list until they've been 'proven'. In order to be proven, we must be online for a certain amount of time, with an average amount of players, before new players will see the server in-game. For the current time, the server will more than likely be limited to SG players and your friends, so get on and start inviting people so the server can grow! With this being a new server, we would also greatly appreciate any feedback on the current settings; after all, this server is for you! Server Rules: Our server is 'Noob Friendly'.   4. In regards to this, I did prone not long ago when one was chasing me and it immediately stopped, turned around, and left. Not sure if it just lost interest or if this may actually be a thing ;).
  5. Have been thinking about this for a while, as Extreme Potatoes learned today (he was thinking about it as well). Right now, as everyone can see, the health of the Rust server has not been very good, and I think a mixup could be something needed and would also be something many of us would enjoy. If we changed Rust over to Ark, it would by no means be permanent, rather just be something temporary to see how it goes. Currently, Ark is and has been in the lead player count wise. Also took a look, there would be 4800 competing servers in Ark, whereas there are 4600 in Rust right now. That would give us better odds. The biggest hurtle to cross of course is getting active players on a server so others see the player counts and are more likely to join. This is one of the things we only got going a couple times on Rust, and never for an extended period of time. I do have a group of friends, approx 9 people, that have been wanting to play on a Rust server, I believe I could easily convince them. That with the other SG players interested, would more than likely give us a leap at least at the start. I think its worth a try, but I'm also interested to hear the rest of the communities voice on such an idea. I've ran an Ark server in the past, with success, however that was before there was an over abundance of servers (but at the same time much less players). I've also looked into things hardware wise; to be perfectly stable, it would increase the server bill by about $10 a month for the extended hardware.
  6. Just a question to clarify; Mass RDM and Leaving would = a ban correct? Was not a simple mistake on the players end, but rather shows intention of direct griefing on the server/ Same with Mass Freekilling and leaving, would this not also be a cause to ban? Keep in mind by mass I mean killing as many people as they can get their sights on; maliciously killing. Not spraying down a couple people out of panic.

A lot of people overuse Admin Chat, and it can be rather annoying for admins, especially when their using it for something that has nothing to do with administration, and it would be perfectly fine to say it in open chat. Also keep in mind that in Jailbreak, admins can see all chats, even from those that are dead. If your a prisoner and get freekilled, you can say it in regular teamchat and we can know what is going on without the person freekilling being aware.

  17. Perhaps have the settings only take effect on certain maps, whereas the harder maps to maintain prisoner control or require more as it is larger do not? I do know there has been days that its been an almost full time job on the server when its full keeping the teams balanced.
  18. Something like this would be handy for sure. At higher populations, seems like there is a constant problem (that requires admin intervention) with the ratios...

  20. True in most cases, but when your dealing with large groups of Ts, or if things are moving fast, its easy to overlook the yellow triangle.
  21. In my opinion this T model looks too similar to a CT model, and has often confused me both as CT and T (mainly at a distance).   22. I agree with Jake, a CT should need to see a player going into or exiting the vent in order to kill them for it. I see a lot of similar things, such as a ct knowing which cell a gun is in; so when someone shoots before the cells open, even if they didn't see it happen, they just go to that cell and kill the person in it. I personally believe that any action that occurs (Other than a T killing a ct) needs to be witnessed by a ct before it can be punished.
  23. Really recommend making it on the main page to show these rule changes; the constant rule changes are pretty hard for regulars to keep up with, and there seems to be a lot of confusion regarding them.
