are divisions being considered for newer games as well? CSS and GMod are old and its hard to get some people on board with those games, nonetheless a community of our size and style. Putting it in reverse and making friends and groups off of newer but less organzied games (in comparison to CSS servers and what not), and then introducing them to the community could prove useful. Just a thought.

The population isn't bringing new people to the forums or community, Just a bunch of randoms who have no clue about SG as a whole. Seems to be on overall concern lately, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Went away when maps got hella restricted, and maps were removed because population would only stay up with a select few maps.

Then you should just get an i5 with a mid range video card. Like this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504 end of the i5 series Ivy Bridge has some really good processors that only get outweighed by expensive i7s. Save over 100 compared to your i7, and with your style of gaming (based on what you've said) you really don't need an i7. As for a video card, you just need a solid one, not a brand new very expensive one. Just find a strong reliable video card. I still run on a nvidia 9800 gtx+, and honestly this card is a beast. Again that card isn't on the market anymore, but I'm just making an example. Pick a solid card series with good reviews, and you'll be better off. Getting the extremely new video cards is potential suicide and a waste of money.

In response to "all the retarded kids" posts here.....basically all I see is that there are a lot of dumb and/or new kids and only a few even semi experienced players (like 1+ year of playing). Older PB players just get tired of it, ik I am guilty of it as well. If the server isn't populated on a decent map, I don't really want to join it just to either A. Play T, get freekilled, kick + ban and then server dies, or B. Play CT, roll everyone, ban my freekilling team, and yeah. Difference in map rotation is something that should be discussed, IMO. Again I'd really love to apply Crazy Swede's style to our servers. If the server only has 10 people on it, there are certain maps it really shouldn't be going to.

OCZ does suck, don't get it. coolermaster hasn't failed me yet. I'm sure some others could suggest options. Windows 8 also awkward as others have said, stick to win7 64 bit. Also shouldn't waste money on high end i7 or high end video card if you're not going to play high end games with cranked graphics. You said you don't know tech terms, so this is from a site. where are you buying your parts from, and is this prebuilt? Basically should answer : 1. what games do you plan on playing. + do you plan on doing a lot of tasks on computer at once. 2. site,prebuilt?, ect. 3. do you plan on upgrading in the near future? (like 2-4 years)

I'm not looking to compare, but what Swede did with the ZM/ZE maps in "brainz are good" has really got some thoughts going in my head. What I mean by that is how the maps were more limited, and dictated based on how the population was doing. I think we could do something similar here. example : If the server has >10 people, the server shouldn't be looking to go to one of the original razor maps. Most people just go full retard and pick whatever they see already getting voted for. Putting 10 people on Ba_razor_oldmap whatever its called, turns really bad really fast. you either get 3 CTs and 7 Ts, causing stale orders or mass chaos with freekilling, bam server dead....or you get 7 CTs and 3 Ts, with of course no admin. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

So yeah.

Sadly razor doesn't hold a population right now due to bad CTs/Ts, so i somewhat agree. I wouldn't ever ask to remove it though, I think a different variety in maps would be a better alternative than to blame one map or another. Also the old versions of razor suck dick.

To clarify : Multiplayer being single console same TV situations. I recently got D3 for xbox, was nice to have a multiplayer game me and the girlfriend could play without have to have at separate computers. I was originally looking at ps4 or XBone, but after thinking about the multiplayer aspect, as well as having more group fun oriented games......I'm thinking about just getting the Wii U. Wii U has a lot of fun multiplayer games, as well as having a more casual fun setting to it. Even the single player games are something I think both of us will like more than some of the XBone/ps4. Also cheaper and already available, plus nintendo kicks ass. I do plan on getting one of the new consoles (ps4 most likely) at some point, its just I'm looking at the multiplayer aspect to make an initial decision. Basically Wii U -> Ps4 or Ps4 -> Wii U. Please post opinions based on again two people looking to enjoy the same console, not on which one you think is best. I've had the biggest and the best consoles since I was like 4, Don't need an opinion on that. =)
