  1. suit yourself, but believe me, it'll be more than a handful on a snowy road.
  2. definitely get some winter, or at least all-season tires for it, with the tires it comes with, you wont have any grip if there is any sort of snow or slush on the road.
  3. not sure whether you care about your warranty or not, but do you have any plans for it yet?
  4. definitely worth getting a pro tune. gained almost 25hp over cobbs OTS tune, power and torque curves are much better and smoother, and they took care of the boost creep i was getting. oh and heres the before and after with the downpipe
  5. got my WRX dyno tuned this weekend only mods are: invidia catless down pipe lightweight crank pulley k&n filter and of course a Cobb AP v3 303hp, 343ft/lbs
  6. Backpacking

not to state the obvious, but make sure you're up to the task physically speaking. not sure of your exact plans for all transportation, but regardless you'll be walking/hiking alot. so hitting up recreational areas or local trails with a full pack to condition yourself would benefit greatly.
  7. i can see that for the sti, but just for a wrx, insurance is pretty cheap.
  8. 2 year old wrx and i only pay 80 a month(same that i paid for my POS neon). some companies may differ, but to most, 4 doors doesnt equal a sports car. but i guess that also depends on your driving record. no tickets and no accidents, so that helps my premium a ton.
  9. soooooo team 3 is 1st and team 6 second?
  10. not too sure on an intake, probably just stick with a k&n filter. But the stock 02 sensor doesnt have the range needed, and needs to be post-turbo. cobbs OTS maps are good, but run rich under boost, and with accesstune i can take care of that. and no, the software is free. it is sad that most of us americans dont know how to drive stick, right around 80%(if not more) dont know how. But that really doesnt bother me, because that means 80%+ of car thieves dont know how to drive stick. which makes a manual tranny one of the best car theft protectors.
  11. loving the wrx, Got a cobb AP. Need to get a wideband though, DL'd accesstune race but with the oem 02 sensor pre-turbo and on the headers i cant get accurate readings to tune with. But sometime next year ill be stage 2, CB or TBE, not sure yet, and probably a short ram intake. probably take boost up to ~18-19, dont want to lose my reliability. wouldnt mind slapping in a 6 speed either...
  12. But i think ill be feasting on ham tonight, amongst other finger foods and snacks.
  13. ill keep this short and simple. If you're petting a dog thats on your lap and it shits on you, are you going to sit there and be sad that your pants are ruined, or are you going to go put on new pants?
  14. sooooo why are you still complaining? edit: anyway...back to the topic.
  15. if you followed this thread i told everyone to add me on steam so i could easily get in contact.
  16. this x's 100000000000000000000000
  17. can we get some sort of schedule for the matches? been trying to get one for almost a week now, and with not having my whole team on steam, and trying to get everyone on at once has become very difficult. if there was a schedule we could set a specific day an time for each match so everyone could know when to be on. And if one team doesnt have enough players then they forfeit. Otherwise this 'tourney' will take months.
  18. spent $580...but not a dime of it on steam...
  19. Team 6 add me on steam - sjona2011
  20. do any track days? ive already taken my bike to one and im wanting to take my wrx as well...of course that would be after front and rear strut tower braces and a ladder brace underneath, quite a bit of body roll.
  21. definitely would have been better to learn on a beater, but just spend an afternoon in an empty parking lot, hardest part is taking off, everything after that is easy. just some hints/tips: 1. dont ride the clutch, i.e. if its engaged keep your foot off of it, dont want to cause unneeded wear and tear. 2. if youre coming to a stop(stop signs), just pop it into neutral and coast, no point in downshifting through the gears. now stop lights youll want to downshift, if you pop her in neutral and the light turns green youll have to guess which gear to go to. also dont worry about rev matching, no point in doing it on the streets. (if you dont know what rev matching is then ignore what i just said) 3. dont be afraid to stall it, its actually a good thing to do at first so you know when it will stall so you can prevent it. 4. hill starts can be a bitch, best way to prevent rollback is to pull in your parking brake, let off the brake pedal, start to release the clutch and as you feel it grab, slowly release the parking brake.
  22. what hes trying to say is hes gonna kill it non-stop for a week and destroy the clutch
