  1. finally got rid of my craptastic dodge for this beauty :megustasm:
  2. how much did you gain from just the tuner?
  3. *instead of going for the low hanging fruit, bom decided to pick up a rotten apple off the ground* pretty much sums up this thread.
  4. i would have to somewhat agree about the engine part, even though the engine/tranny in my dodge is turrible. but just for another example, would you consider the subaru legacy, outback, tribeca(technically a saab/ford), and various toyota's american? No. anymore it just comes down to the brand name, just because its an (insert country here) car, doesnt mean it has to be made in that country. it comes down to what country the brand is from, i really dont care who owns or builds dodge, its still an american car and it always will be. /rant
  5. its still an American car, do you still consider Lamborghini Italian? or Bentley British? Of course you do, even though theyre owned by VW. Do the italians play a role in the design and manufacturing? sure, but their main job is just to fund their child companies and collect profits from them. Something that Chrysler couldnt do. Anyway, back to the OP. If you cant decide, just make a list of all the possibilities in your price range that youre interested in. then narrow it down to 4 or 5, then go test drive them if you can, and choose which one you liked best. Id definitely stray away from any american brands, they just typically arent very refined and made as cheaply as possible, and dont have the quality standards that the japanese or germans do.
  6. if you go for a lexus you have to get an LFA, if you dont then youre...well....retarded.
  7. DO NOT buy all your books at the beginning of the semester, waste of money. go to your classes for a week or two and just simply ask your instructors if the book is really needed or not, if they dont really use the book in class, most will tell you that. But those that you do need, go here http://www.boundless.com this site has most books for all of your gen. ed. classes. And for books that arent on there, you can find on ebay or amazon for real cheap. doing all this could seriously save you $500+ a semester. my last two semesters i spent less than $100 at the bookstore, and what i did spend was for lab manuals.
  8. Toyota def. deserves a slap in the face for the skinny tires. but slap some real sticky rubber on it and you'll have a great car for autocross. @labarr, if you saw all of the quality control that subaru puts every single car through, you'd understand why they costs so much.
  9. if you go for the BRZ, i really wouldnt bother adding too much more hp, they have fairly skinny tires and breaking them loose with what power it has is already quite easy. I am very biased towards subaru, i work at a subaru factory , but out of those 3 cars id probably go with the used 350z, gonna save money and have a faster car.
  10. its definitely well worth the cost. i spent $175 on the track day itself, about another $75 getting my bike ready(replaced coolant and oil/filter change) and another $50 ish on other stuff, drinks, food, gas to get there etc.
  11. Did my first trackday on my bike yesterday, must say im addicted now! and yes i know the sound quality sucks.
  12. another internship at Subaru, couple online classes to finish up my degree, then sending out resumes
  13. ive heard of several people having software issue with the drift hd's so id stay away from those, havent don much research on the contours but cant really go wrong with a gopro hero2/3, the hero 3 has wifi built in and you can use your phone to view the picture, and the hero 2 has a wifi 'bacpac' that you can do the same with. just do some research and go for what you think will do the best.
  14. sooo you were going almost twice the speed limit to get to a store to buy new bulbs so you wouldnt get pulled over....... seriously though, if youve already got a target on your back with the burnt out headlights, why give them another concrete reason to pull you over? thats just complete stupidity. not trying to say i dont speed, but im not an idiot about it.
  15. OC that cpu!!! ive got mine stable at 4.2 and temps have never gotten over 45c
  16. i ride motorcycles, occasionally hit up the drag strip. gonna start doing track days this year and i want to eventually get my race license
  17. wow.

exactly, supercars are just status symbols.
  18. wow.

i know the venom has a better power to weight (depending on what model you get), but whats the point in having all that power and not being able to use it? thats right, there is none. youre paying to have a top speed that youll never reach. im not saying its not an amazing car, because it simply is, but i guarantee anyone would have much more fun in a caterham or ariel atom, or any similar car, and if you look at the performance of all 3 cars, there are minute differences in 0-60 and 0-100 times, and thats where all the fun factor is, anything more than 120-130 is just plain idiocy(on the street). could keep ranting on, but imma shut up and watch some more top gear
  19. wow.

if i had to choose between this and the veyron, hands down id get the venom. but id personally never buy either of them even if i did have the money. personally i could care less about top speeds. most people that buy super/hyper cars never even come close to their top speeds, and buying a car that expensive i would be scared to take it on the streets. id much rather have a caterham or ariel atom. power to weight ratio is where its at
  20. wow.

theyve been around for a while, but they never really speed tested them, until recently, and for the longest time they werent even street legal. but if you do some research on them, they literally take a lotus exige, extend the frame, and slap a giant engine in it. so you end with with the best of both worlds, power and handling.
  21. ended up going to best buy yesterday and checked out some logitech and steelseries mice. sizes were good but none really felt too well in my hand, so i ended up getting a rat 7. wasnt planning on getting one yesterday but it was on sale but so far im happy with it, love how i can customize it to fit my hand how i want it to, its much heavier than my deathadder, even with all the extra weights taken out, but ive noticed and motions while gaming is much more smooth. gonna take a little while to get used to it but im seeing it as a great buy. thanks guys!
  22. the sensation of power and acceleration the first time i held the throttle wide open on my bike.
  23. actually should be able to go to a best buy or something tomorrow, gonna be near it anyway. new bowling ball :3
  24. i would, but no stores within an hour of me carry gaming mice lol.
  25. title says it right now i have a razer deathadder, love the ergonomics of it, but razers quality and software is shit. really looking a fairly large mouse (big hands) preferably not wireless, dont care if its laser/infrared been looking at the cyborg rat5/rat7 anybody have one? pros/cons? is the 7 worth the higher cost? any other mice i should look at? thanks guys.
