I am currently using adobe premiere elements 4 which is making css vids look worse than crap and all other vids just grainy and pixelated. I use fraps which does a great job recording the videos but I need something that can compress / add effects.

I do believe that that is true in many situations but not as much in this one. Everybody thinks that if they've had something for too long, they need to refresh it and try something else... even when they had the best possible set-up in the first place. However, I do believe people will get used to the new steam fairly quickly.

I personally don't like it better than the original steam. All they have really done is changed the colors and made maneuvering through steam a little more complex. The download section is a plus but overall I think Valve took a step back with this one.

I got mine for 300. When they first came out, the were about 600

Console is more comfortable and natural to play with. PC has free internet, cheaper games, and mostly free updates. I don't know if there is any better or worse way to play video games. Thanks Italian Jew for the link.

There was another thread about this. I believe that admins agreed that you CAN use the SG tag in BC2. I'm not exactly sure where the thread was though.
