Damn I'm old... My son is graduating this year and his school did photo shoot walk where each student scheduled a time and one parent could come take pics. I understand the schools are doing what they can, but it just didn't feel the same. No yearbook signing, no post graduation parties to go to... I feel bad for you guys. I'm glad you're making the best of it. Either way congrats on graduating!

Does breaking teeth playing hockey count? (Didn't come out, just broke in half). Otherwise I've never "broken a bone".

I have recently started playing floor hockey, and had to play a full 90 minutes without a sub... thought I was going to die.... Felt weak for sure especially when I compare it to what my brother & brother-in-law do in their spare time. Both run "Ultra-Marathons" 50K and above. My bro-in-law has 4 first place finishes in 100 mile (160KM) endurance races. It's insane what the human body can be pushed to. Makes anything I've done seem small for sure.

Avatar: The last Airbender was a great animated series that I enjoyed for a variety of reasons I won't go into here. However it is not strictly speaking Anime.. so no not Anime. Avatar the movie - better described and "Fern Gully 3D" was ok for what is was, if you're into that sort of thing. A friend was in a bad situation and needed cash that night. He was going to pawn it for $500 so I bought it off of him instead. Obviously worth more than that. I've seen them around here for around $1250 if you shop around and are patient.

Nice! When my son turned 14 I bought him a Henry. Rock solid rifles, built to last for generations. No regrets on that front. I also just picked up a vintage M1-Garand. If I find time I'll post pics later.

I love Tesla and am a fan of the idea of making a Tesla SUV, but to call the Y an SUV is a farce. It's a minivan. Zero ground clearance = no off-road capability. The only SUV-esque part of it is the 3rd row seating and some additional storage room. SUV's in general have been slowly morphing into mini-vans for awhile now and it's a bit sad.

Depends on how you play it. My cousin used to play Nine Inch Nails covers on his banjo when we were in high school. A little over a year ago I started playing floor hockey. All the joy of hitting someone with a stick, none of the ankle breaking ice-skating. I still enjoy playing soccer, but Hockey is better.

Naw... just use the PhotoMath app... take a pic of the math problem and it solves it for you and provides the work to get to the solution. (just in case you have to show "your" work.)

So we added a new member to the family this week. Her name is Stella.

A topic that hits home for me right now... is the concept that it's OK to put your suffering dog down, but we don't extend the same courtesy to a human being that is suffering.. Euthanasia a.k.a. Dr. assisted suicide (I don't think suicide is a fitting term.)

Currently working in IT as a Systems Administrator for a University. Currently finishing up a degree in Linguistics. Just completed both a Minor in Portuguese & Brazilian Studies as well a teaching certificate for TESOL (English for non-native speakers). Not sure where I'll end up but the plan is tentatively to teach English in Brazil - Preferably near the beach.

L1 = English L2's = Portuguese - Fluent Italian - Reasonable, I wouldn't say fluent, but I can speak ok and understand a majority of what is said to me. Spanish - Passable - currently studying.

Can't stand either team... I'm sitting this one out.

More and more 8GB seems to be the bare minimum. RAM is one area I wouldn't skimp on. You don't need the fastest or top of the line, but I'd go at least 16.

Mac Rumors among other sites report that the iPhone X isn't only the most expensive iPhone yet, but also the most fragile. Both front and back glass are very prone to easy breakage. Good luck with this one, but I'm avoiding this phone all together.
