I got one that I was apart of and it made me depress for about a week. I did not talk to anyone what so ever for that 7 days. OK so here it goes. "EMT!" I was playing pool in my firehouse with the guys, drinking and having fun over all. When all of the sudden our radio went off saying something like this "EP Police to EP Ambulance Corps, Your assistance is needed at 43 ******* St for a suicide attempt. I repeat 43 ******* St for a suicide attempt. We immediately went silent for about a few seconds. It was actually 2 blocks away. Since 2 of us wore trained EMT's we with out a word rushed there. The guys went straight there and I went to the bay to get first aid bag from the firetruck. Running there I was thinking to my self how the fuck do I know this address. It was in fact my friends house. Rushing inside with my guys trying to brake in the bedroom door I saw her in tears. When she saw me her words wore "Please save my little brother". The guys broke the door and there he was hanging from the sealing. One of us cut the rope and started reviving him. Jimmy told me to get the family out of the room, so I did. When I heard them stop breathing heavily and go silent, o I knew what happened. The 15 year old brother has just killed him self. And there was nothing we could do. Nothing - what so ever.
