Jazz, slight correction. My show tix were 175 and the hotel 900. As for content ; hundreds of vendors and studios pedaling their wares. Thousands of artist and creative talents showing off new stuff and hollywood and the gaming industry showing off stuff. And panels, shows and even a film premiere or two. Kinda a bigger e3.

Let me start a while back. Every year in July San Diego comic-con (SDCC) happens. The comic Industry and Hollywood show up for a massive summer party that kinda takes over a good chunk of the city. I decided to make it a goal to go this year. The typical thing would have been to arrange flight, hotel and tickets all at once. Unfortunately this is one of the few types of events where doing that is not gonna happen. I think a few Europeans might compare the fun im gonna describe to Gamescom or a few other events out there. I started in January with the one day release of tickets. 175$ for all 5 days of SDCC (4 regular days + preview night). The next problem which took almost a month to deal with was Hotels. When you are in a city expecting a quarter million people, living space is not going to be easy. Most rooms were blocked out, and what is left got expensive. I got lucky and got a hotel 4 miles from the convention center with good transportation for 900$ for the week. It could've been worse :some rooms went for twice that easy. Holy fuck the flight tickets were the worst part. I was actively trying to avoid flying out of Philadelphia and trying to get a cheap flight. Too bad none of that shit happened. I think the airlines try to actively troll you because they were offering 3 or more connecting flights to San diego from where i live at 900-1000 a person. I paid 950$ for 2 tix outta Philly on a monday with a Saturday night return. If i ever do this shit again, i want a package deal and less heartburn. And i still need a rental car....

I declare victory.

Take it from someone whos friend ran an internet radio station. Its a moneysink. There are better ways for sg to spend the money on then risk the entire communitys finances on such a risky venture.

Its hard to say goodbye to a man who pretty much helped raise me into the pain in the ass thorn in everyone side i am. If its one thing i learned from you over the years and one thing i took to heart it was to not sugercoat anything. I appreciated you calling bullshit when it needed to be called, and occasionally smacking us upside the head when we all needed it. Thanks for all the work, and thanks for the memories.

Its a stepping down. The banning spree will still happen, but thats only when TTT gets trolled. Edit: For Clarification, I told the board and AO's plus a few community members a few weeks ago, but didn't want to steal the spotlight from paul.

In early 2008. I was lost in a sea of horrid infinite ammo zombie servers, horrible maps where people would camp in little holes. But one day i found a place where for over 3 and a half years I would make my home. I found Zombie Murder. A few months later i applied for admin, and began A long strange trip. And what a trip it has been. I've seen staff come and go, I've lived through more presidencies and ownerships, even a name change, but I've seen a community grow into something great. But Alas, the time has come for me to go as well. I had spent a grand total of 5 months as a regular user in SG. I was a Server admin for 5 months, A Community Adviser for less than 2, An Administrative Officer for Almost 2 years, and the last 10 months on the Board. I've outlasted more great people who did a better than i feel i did. I've applied a somewhat unique style to my admin that has been a double edged sword. I do not like being a dick, i have never really taken pleasure in it, and if i ever have, I've felt guilty about it afterwards. I just treated it as a job nothing more, nothing less. But I want to thank all of you. From the staff, the admins, the players, the trolls, etc. You pushed me to be better. You've proved me wrong, and proved me right. You've shown me a great community, and i sure as hell Ain't leaving it. I would like to thank the following people especially. Haggard: You gave me the opportunity to be SA in the first place. The Current and Former hierarchy of Staff at ZM/SG: It has been a pleasure serving with and serving under you, and it should continue to be. To all those who are still to come, and those who aspire to be better, Keep going. If a scrub like me can be this highly ranked, anyone can do it.
