I know the new release 1.6.4 is loaded with bugs and errors when playing on a vanilla SMP server Tons of stuff like blocks reappearing after you break them, items breaking after a single use, graphical errors etc.

I used to use my laptop mic all the time it didn't suck at least not that i know of (everyone always told me it was fine) As for my desktop I have a Turtle Beach P11 headset and it comes with a built in volume control for both MIC and Volume It is USB and has a jack for sound I like it and it works nice P11 Turtle Beach Headset Also there is one for the 360 too if you don't have a PS3 and both work on the PC

Look to see if there is an accidental damage policy that may or may not have come with the laptop if there is, then they should fix it if not, well im not sure where you can get the screens maybe newegg or something

well its still new right? I'm not sure what your warranty policies are over there but you should check to see if you can just get it repaired for free

Oddly enough looking through that list I recognized a lot of the movies Although not very many based on spiders, I thought SciFi had more movies in general maybe its not a complete list The Chupacabra movie was a good one though
