I'll do a Top 5, you can do more or less if you want. The only rule is to pick yuor favorite bands and/or artists for each genre. You can repeat artists/bands (I'm not going to though.)

My list is not in any specific order.

The 60s

-------

1.) The Beatles

2.) Bob Dylan

3.) Simon & Garfunkle

4.) Johnny Cash

5.) Elvis Presley

The 70s

-------

1.) Led Zepplin

2.) James Taylor

3.) Pink Floyd

4.) Queen

5.) The Sex Pistols

The 80s

-------

1.) Guns N' Roses

2.) U2

3.) Sonic Youth

4.) Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

5.) Social Distortion

The 90s

-------

1.) The Offspring

2.) Rancid

3.) NOFX

4.) Third Eye Blind

5.) Goo Goo Dolls

The 00s

-------

1.) Eminem

2.) Against Me!

3.) Blink 182

4.) Foo Fighters

5.) Jack Johnson

(This was hard to do. I'm sure I missed some awesome bands I just overlooked. Oh well. Curious to see what everyone's list will look like.)

Im sorry, Ill make another post to do this after this is cleared, but how is this to be done? By when the group started? When they were big? Because I can tell you for a fact that Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are from the 60's.

Yep they both started in the 60s, but I liked the stuff they put out in the 70s more. You can do it whatever way you like.
