I was just wondering. I'm looking into buying Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the minimum requirement for a processor is a Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz. I know thats just a Dual-Core Processor. I have a Dual Core 2.5 Ghz but its not like in the Core 2 Duo generation. I've been told that they are the same processors just with a different name. So if I bought battlefield would I be able to run it?

whta brand is the dualcore? you should be able to play it, i can play it fine and my CPU is 3 years old, still going good

I have an Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50 Ghz 2.51 Ghz

Ok, one more question, i have 2 gb of 667 mhz ram. Ik theres like 800 mhz now but does that matter?

it matters, cuz your mo-bo can't handle the 800Mhz speeds if you have 667Mhz, the otherway around works fine, so if you want to add more you need 667Mhz RAM

Well my mo-bo can handle 800 or 667. At this point I have 667. Will that affect my gameplay in BC2 at all is my real question i guess.

well not really i have mine at 667 too, and i can handle everything fine, but in some way yeah, cuz 800 is clocked higher so it performs better and will execute tasks much quicker
