  1. Would have to convert the files into something YouTube can use. Would be an idea but I am afraid that would take way too long. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  2. Let me see how big the files are, if they are too big we probably will not have them available for download. Good idea however. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  3. We was working on it but ran into some problems, didn't want to hold this up any further. For the actual elimination tournament I want to do some streaming or something with it (on delay of course) to make it one big community event.
  4. Teams are closed. Here is the schedule: Week 1: SG Badmins - Team Peanut Daycare 2-0 -- 16-9 (Peanut Daycare) -- 16-10 (Peanut Daycare) lil shits - Team Cakes 1-1 TIE -- 16-14 (lil shits) -- 11-16 (Team Cakes) Bring Back Dan - Try Hard 2-0 -- 16-4 (Bring Back Dan) -- 16-5 (Bring Back Dan) Week 2: lil shits - Bring Back Dan Team Peanut Daycare - Team Cakes SG Badmins - Try Hard Week 3: SG Badmins - Team Cakes lil shits - Try Hard Bring Back Dan - Team Peanut Daycare Week 4: Team Peanut Daycare - Try Hard Bring Back Dan - Team Cakes SG Badmins - lil shits Week 5: SG Badmins - Bring Back Dan lil shits - Team Peanut Daycare Team Cakes - Try Hard Standings: 1. Team Peanut Daycare = 2 - 0 1. Bring Back Dan = 2 - 0 2. Team Cakes = 1 - 1 2. lil shits = 1 - 1 3. SG Badmins = 0 - 2 3. Try Hard = 0 - 2 The schedule is set but flexible. Each week the two teams will play 2 matches, home and away. The first week's scores are due by June 14th. Gets you 2 weekends to get the games in. If you can get more games in, thats great and will move this along faster. Good luck to all teams!
  5. I am hoping to build a starter tutorial for people. I consider myself a mine craft noob because my kid knows more about it than I do when I started. So stay tuned.
  6. Part of the steam link system that I've been working on actually has a forum rewards program so where we can set it up to do stuff like this. Can this check the validity of 10 post? No, you can't really do that. You can set up a system of variables to check that they have done more than just spam post however.
  7. We are going to say no, due to the chance that if something goes wrong with it that we won't be able to do anything about it. Its better that everyone plays on the same server to feel better about it.
  8. Looking to use a source mod warmod. Atm I need a ta+ to update the server and upload the plug in as it has a dll file. Let you guys know when that happens.
  9. You might have noticed we've added a few new pages to the home page. A bunch of it is still under construction but we'll have some new content for you guys to digest. We could use some help with it, check out this thread for more information: http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61200&p=741064 The Game Reviews, will be user submitted game reviews. The Game News is added by selected people, more details will come on this. Newsletter is going to be similar to the game news, but will deal with SG related stuff The Scrim Tourney Page will be all easily accessible information on the tournament. So enjoy the new content!
  10. OK. We are going to move away from this thread for all informational things. I've created a custom page. Its still being worked on and is not finished. But it has the Round Robin Schedule built. http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/content.php?r=17-scrim-tournament_1 I need to do a few small things on the server, which I'll get done tonight as well. If all goes well, we will open the gameplay tomorrow. Stay tuned.
  11. http://www.pcgamer.com/steam-summer-sale-to-start-june-11/ Steam Summer Sale approches!
  12. It's the captain's responsibility to make sure it gets done. Not everyone needs to roll a demo but if they do its helpful.
  13. I should have made it clear that you had to be a member of the site when this was first announced. So sorry we aren't accepting new members as it can be exploited and make things unfair for this just-for-fun event. I hope you understand.
  14. @BlackEagle will take a look at it but yes it looks like you got skipped, there was alot of craziness involved last night and hopefully you were the only one missed. We'll get you on a team. If anyone wants to still participate who hasn't gotten on a team get a hold of Beagle and we'll get it worked out. However, teams will close once play has started.
  15. We have the casual server still running now, but I am working on getting the server built for what we'll be using. May have it set up this weekend. I will post when that is good to go and give details to captains. As far as time table, we are wanting to start Memorial Day Weekend or the week after. Once the server is up we'll have a more solid time.
  16. Just an update on what we are thinking on teams, we are definitely wanting to have teams to have extra subs. Honestly, we are anticipating people dropping out once teams are decided. We are also thinking of a way to have extras floating around in some way to help fill in emergency situations.
  17. The plugin has been removed for now as it has kind of become pointless since server crashes at least once a day.
  18. This has been brought up and I didn't explain it in the main thread as we really haven't made 100% how teams are picked. We wanted to see how the ranking fell first then figure out what the best way to divide teams up. Right now we are planning to pick team captains and have a draft system in place, where each captain picks one person at a time. To be the most fair, we want to limit specific rank picks per team, this is the part where we are waiting for the ratios to come in. Now that we have 30+ players we are going to look at all the rankings and decide what the limitations per team will be. I'll hope to make this announcement tomorrow or the next day with more details involved in the actual picking of teams. If there any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to voice them, however, we already know we can't make everyone happy in this so if you are butt-hurt easily over who may or may not be on your team, then it may be best for you to withdraw. This whole thing is about teamwork and playing with others, if you can't do that with certain people, then you may want to consider that.
  19. Didn't it used to be 4am EST?
  20. With the opening of the casual server it has been asked can SG have a scrim tournament? Well we are starting to entertain that idea. We want to start gathering data on people interested in participating. The thing we want to know the most obviously is who wants to participate, but we would like to know your competitive ranking. Take a screenshot of your CS:GO ranking in replying to this thread. We will use this information to devise a fair way to develop the teams. We are currently hoping for 4-6 teams of 5 people each. If we get enough people we can do alternates. As far as format, we are wanting to do a round robin to seed for an elimination tournament to determine a winner. We are also looking to do prizes, any donations to a prize bin would be awesome. Overall we are hoping to have teams settled and start playing at the end of the month. We are looking at it lasting around 2 months total time. @BlackEagle and myself are organizing this adventure so ask us for any questions. More information will come in the next few weeks. *NOTICE* I should have been clearer about this part, but you need to be signed up to the forum by the start of this thread, May 5th, to participate. Teams: Wawa - SG Badmins Malibu whimsy banana joe phantom153 vorter fonzi elemental Pan - lil shits jazz nino aznsoul punky onion butters mandeemoo PingPong -Bring Back Dan doublesb crzycandian spr00k dirk struki boa Fishey - Team Peanut Daycare game freak mudkip zorg neptune wertles blackwhite Noobster - Team Cakes alucard beth bom phonicz console rilex octa Griffin - Try Hard shp eagle blackrain harpo dev wiggles Scheduling: -Each team will play 2 matches against another team. So a total of 10 games will be played. -You will play one "home" game and one "away" game. One map is considered a game. -A MINIMUM of 2 games has to be played within a week. You may play more than 2 games in a week. -We are going to have an outlined schedule but for the sake of timing you may play the same team back-to-back even though they aren't listed as your next opponent. -After the completion of the 10 games we will design a bracket based off the standings. -The captains (or designated captain if the original captain chooses to have a different one) MUST schedule their own times for the matches within the 7 day time frame. Since we are starting most likely on a Monday you have until that following Monday to complete 2 matches. -We will have a page with all of this information, once you organize a scheduled time for your match please notify us so we can adjust the schedule to include your time to prevent conflicting matches since we are playing on a single server. Home & Away: -As noted we will have "home" and "away" matches. You will play each team as the "home" team and as the "away" team. -Away matches are designated as "@ Team Cakes" (just an example) on the schedule. -When you are the HOME team you have a choice: 1. Choose the side (CT or T) on the map chosen. 2. Choose the final map choice between two choices. -We have a total of 9 maps on the rotation as shown below: Dust2 (team1) Mirage (team2) Inferno (team1) Nuke (team2) Overpass (team1) Cache (team2) Cobblestone (team1) Train Season -The map will be chosen by each team taking turns and eliminating maps they DO NOT want to play. This will go until there are 2 maps left in which the team that is choosing the map has the choice between the 2 maps. -This process is really not complicated but since I know it sounds confusing and I will receive 30,000 questions about it here is an example: Team1 (HOME) versus Team2 (AWAY) -Team 1 decides they want to choose the side on the map chosen (option 1 above). -Team 1 has first choice of map they do not want to play. -Team 2 then eliminates a map, then back to Team 1 and so on until there are just 2 maps remaining. -As shown above now team 2 has the option of either playing train or season. -Once the map is chosen Team 1 now can choose the side they want to play. -So as a general rule: whomever is deciding the SIDE chooses the first map to not be played. Various Rules -First of all these may be updated over time to include overlooked rules so keep checking back for updates. -Rule #1 - HAVE FUN! I cannot stress enough that this is not ESEA. This is a fun event for the community to get excited about. If you suck like me or your team sucks then get over it and just have fun. Don't screw over your team that may be actually trying (who does that anyway) and be an ass. Give it your best but this all for bragging rights. -General CS:GO comp. rules apply. 15 round half, 2 minute round time, etc. -Obviously no cheating, exploiting, glitching, etc. If found doing any of these you and potentially your team will be removed from the event and probably banned from SG. -When starting your match you MUST record a demo at all times. This way if we have a situation where someone feels another player is cheating we just request the demo from you. It would be ideal to label the demos for easy recovery. To record a demo, simply open your console and type "record demonamehere" and you're done. -If you feel that someone is cheating, continue playing until the match is complete and notify either myself or Spiked and we will handle the situation. -If you are found to be using an illegal substitute, such as someone logging on with a name that resembles one of your teammates but is actually someone else your entire team will be removed completely. -Screenshots and scores must be reported after the completion of each event by the teams captain or replacement captain if the captain cannot be in attendance. -Any ghosting will result in the removal of your team from the event. Schedule Week 1: SG Badmins - Team 4 lil shits - Team Cakes Bring Back Dan - Try Hard Week 2: lil shits - Bring Back Dan Team 4 - Team Cakes SG Badmins - Try Hard Week 3: SG Badmins - Team Cakes lil shits - Try Hard Bring Back Dan - Team 4 Week 4: Team 4 - Try Hard Bring Back Dan - Team Cakes SG Badmins - lil shits Week 5: SG Badmins - Bring Back Dan lil shits - Team 4 Team Cakes - Try Hard
  21. Good god did you get up early....and best of luck with that, most people have no clue what I am thinking half the time.

  22. What Zaraki said. Your motherboard really is too old for an upgrade. I know cause this is what I faced when I was looking for something new. No one makes processors that would fit your current motherboard. You can find new ones but these processors are 5+ years old and really aren't worth the money upgrading. I had the Q6800, great little processor lasted as long as it did. You'll be looking for a MOBO, CPU combo you'll end up easily spending at least $350 on that alone and not to take into account that your current RAM will probably not fit that. Honestly, you'll probably need to spend around $500 minimum to have any sort of upgrade to your current system. I spent around $850 for my new PC last year for my birthday/tax refund/I got divorced present. You'll want to spend the extra money cause then you won't need to upgrade again as soon.
  23. I'll smoke a pretzel for you :-P
