Nobody is saying your suggestions are bad. Infact some are good and are useful for us, and i'm sure Delirium will agree that we do appreciate these sorts of suggestions from the regular server players! The issue is that the biggest suggestions go against what our server is. We don't want to be, and never have been, just another JB server for people to go on. Its different to all of those in its rules and how the game play functions. Yes it does have its flaws, but its what we like and has been wildly successful for us for years. The ruleset is pretty much the same as it was back when i first joined SG 10 years ago, and our server has for a good majority of that time been one of the busiest!

Got to agree here that something needs to be done. I tend to stick on TTT most of the time nowadays, but on those occasions i've wandered into JB at the weekends, its been nothing short of a clusterfuck. People shouting over each other, inane rubbish being spammed on the mic, freekilling etc. etc. I struggled to keep hold of what was going on/do admin stuff with the people on the server. What chance to most normal players have if its getting that crazy at peak times. Don't think splitting the severs is the ideal solution though.

I mean, i dont see why they wouldn't count, but if those posts were your only posts, you wouldn't get admin anyways.

Well not to jump the gun, but it looks like the Surf server is on the up! Its been getting some good numbers these past few days since the F2P update, so heres hoping that trend continues in the future for Surf

Accidents happen. Such is life. Its impossible to physically stop them happening, otherwise i'm sure we would have already done so.

KK, so say collision was turned off. Now nothing stops the entire T team standing ontop of a rebelling T. The CT can't shoot at him, because it will be freekill. We either get a massive increase in complaints about freekilling when people just shoot into the horde of T's OR we end up with even less CT players as nobody wants to deal with that.

Hey all. Just tried to make a post in the WiP section for making maps etc. but kept getting an error saying i need to select a prefix, yet it has no option to make a prefix. My suggestion is we fix this. Thoughts/comments?

I don't particularly see how this can't be down to the players. I literally joined the server with a completely different name to my own "Lemon Juice" , yet before i could even attempt to hide my store items i was being called out by players on the server. It wasn't a case of accidentally doing it, it was pure and simple "I am going to call you out, i dont care your undercover, i am doing it". Why the hell should I have to take action more than changing my name to point out to people that i am quite clearly not playing openly as an admin. A RDMer isn't going to know or care about my avatar, they are't going to know or care about my store items, they aren't going to know or care about my steam ID, or my karma or any of that. This is purely down to regular players on the server being a jackass. I don't need to stop what i'm doing to come in-game and help deal with a problem. Yet i choose to. Right now though, i'm strongly considering removing the majority of regulars on my steam friends that i don't talk to, who normally just talk to be to try and get an admin in-game. Why should i even attempt to be helpful and join, if within seconds i'm called out and rendered useless?

I would like to take the time to thank several players for calling me out when i joined the TTT server undercover. Your efforts at calling me out were crucial at forcing me to waste 45 minutes of my life, sat waiting for RDMers to fuck up again so i could ban them (Surprise, surprise, people out to cause trouble, change their actions when they know they are being watched... Thank you, thank you very much... Seriously I had my name changed, all store items gone and STILL you took the time to do it. Hell, Kakashi managed to do it 3+ times and is now blocked from my steam friends and because of his stupidity won't be able to call me directly to come help him out. Can we PLEASE actually look at doing something about this. It is a clear cut case of admins being punished for actually trying to help out, all because idiots enjoy calling them out and revealing they are there, so they can look "Super Cool" infront of everyone on the server.

TBH i do agree with this. Their are times i want to go on the server and just play. Being an admin you attract a form of attention that isn't on other players. On TTT, you are watched more closely, on JB you are watched more as well, detracting from play experience. More importantly though, their are times when i'll be called ingame to watch someone. It might be a RDMer, a hacker, or someone being abusive to other players, but when players on the server actively make it a point to go "Oh look, its Bdcoll, an admin" it stops that working completely! For example, where this post stems from is me joining the server today as people were bullying Abomination. As soon as i get ingame, some players ingame made it their mission to let people know i was in, resulting in the players i was watching either leaving, or altering their behaviour! Maybe a rule is the way to go, maybe a plugin to hide admin identities when they join without their normal names (I.e karma to 1000, remove all store items etc.)
