  1. Yeah, lies was probably the wrong word to use on my end tbh! Just struck me as strange that after all the problems we had before with the knife command, that suddenly we launched into customising everything without a word to the contrary Thanks for clearing it up though
  2. Whilst its all good we have these, i'm a little confused. I though the whole reason we got rid of the knife command in the first place was to avoid being blacklisted. And yet now were adding a lot more? Have we stopped caring about that for some reason / was that just a lie to remove the command...
  3. You've missed my point i'm afraid. I was asked to come to a server, i don't play on, to help with an admin situation. I was able to do this as I had admin on all servers. With your proposed method, to deal with a trouble maker on ZE, I'd have to come to the forums, make an application, wait a week or two for a answer, then hopefully have admin to deal with it. As you can see, thats rather unusable. Its all well and good saying you want to promote people from the smaller servers to join up as an admin, and we should all want that tbh, but this isn't the way to do it. It will only cripple the current admin staff, rendering them all but useless on some SG servers, stir up problems as people won't know who has admin, on what server etc. It would also put a significant workload on the unfortunate admins who have ZE or MG admin. They will be forced into playing on those servers, even if they don't want to, purely because they are some of the few with power on that server. We'd end up with 20 admins, 17 who would have TTT and JB, 2 ZE, 1 MG. Most of whom wouldn't have much intrest in getting powers on the other servers, leaving them without proper cover at all. Probably the better solution to get more people from various servers to apply for admin on all SG servers, would be to drop the post requirement down to 50, allow for personal experiences with players in admin apps to count for more than "Not seen you on this server, so Abstain" posts, allow ex-admins easier access to getting admin back if they have stepped down/retired in the past, and to work with the AO/CA team in identifying players on those servers who should have it, and approaching them about fast tracking an admin application through, instead of the sometimes tedious application process.
  4. I don't really see a single positive from doing this, only downsides. Limiting admins to only having powers on certain servers strips away the ability to respond to abusers on other servers significantly. Whilst i mostly play TTT, i'm often called into JB to deal with abusers, and occasionally onto ZE or Scrim, neither server i have much interest in playing much right now, but without having my admin powers on them I wouldn't have been able to do anything to help out! I'll quite happily admit. I'm not fully up to date on all the rules etc. that are in place on servers like ZE and Scrim. I do however know the normality of rules that take place on all SG servers, and will quite happily enforce them. If it comes to a server specific command etc. i'm just going to ask another admin for clarification, or simply not use the command. Having separate groups for different call admin commands would also limit the number of people that would respond to any need for an admin.
  5. I have to agree with Ghost here tbh. I've looked for specific rules before and been there for a good 10+ minutes, often not finding them anyways! Would be really handy if they could be placed in their own special little section for everyone to see and reference.

V4 had some major problems with an overpowered T room at the rear of the ship, so to prevent people camping that all round it has been removed in this version. Their is still a T room towards the front of the ship, but this is more based around teleportation, and should prove less easy to use it to whore up kills. --------- In addition, i've been working on getting players into the actual ship, instead of camping the roof. This has always greatly annoyed me, as you have such a massive ship there, and nobody using it! So to start with, spawn locations have been placed all around the ship. From the very top decks, all the way to the luggage hold. Another change to encourage this, is an alteration to the sinking mechanic. This has been altered so their are now several choices of how the boats will spawn, or how the boat will sink. These are: All 3 Boats Only Top Boats Only Side Boats No Boats No Sinking At All Thats right, their is now a chance, that SinkingShip will stay afloat!   10. Also worth baring in mind you can be banned from posting in admin applications if your deemed not to have made a good enough contribution to the discussion/written a short statement. If you see someone doing it repeatedly, you should probably message them and let them know to up their game.

  12. Agreed, it would be a real shame if this map got removed as it was one from the contest. Another improvement to make if we were to go down that route, would be to fix alter the "teleport" system. It seems quite redundant, and just further adds to the spread out feel that the map has going for it,

    Yeah, if your going into using Photoshop and Premier Pro etc. then more RAM is your friend. Make sure you have a 64 bit operating system if your going any higher than that though!
  16. And, annoyingly, i'm going to ask for this to be rejected. Despite being covered in bullet blockers, the T room is way overpowered for what it is. I can't have that going on as it ruins the map. On another note, would their be any issues on the AO side, of having 2 different maps, one that sinks, one that doesn't? Exact same layout etc. just without that element. It should feel like a different map entirely as you can actually use the whole thing instead of just the upper levels.
  17. The reflections i'm putting down to a temporary error. I've tested it 2-3 times since, all with different maps played fully beforehand and i've been unable to replicate the error. From testing it solo as well i've not been able to show it. The doors are a non-issue tbh. They don't block gameplay, and aren't worth a full re-compile to fix something that will rarely be used anyways. The rain is gone. I know why i used the 4 blocks, which made sense at the time due to a design issue on the map, but it was just easier to get rid of. The breakable element I was actually referring to was the escape boats. It is rigged so when a T C4's them, the boats will break and the T's are able to stop people escaping that way. The logic behind them breakng etc. is sound, i've tested that out extensively in solo games. The problem is them breaking under c4. It only seems to happen half of the time the c4 is placed. I'm assuming this is something to do with the C4 itself and how it transfers damage to the world. Either way, none of these are game breaking, mostly just slightly annoying for me as I wasted time developing them!
  18. Tested it out on a full server. Once people figured out where guns had been moved to it ran just like normal . Some problems with the map still in regards to certain breakable elements, but i'm more than happy to let that slide. As far as i'm concerned, we can remove V2 and V3 and keep V2_bd on the server. Dont know what you want to do with the original map given its quite noticeably different, yet similar.

  20. Hey all, This is just a updated version of my earlier SinkingShip map. Through testing it out on the server, i came to realise the problem was the rain that was killing the game when it was full. So i've sadly had to remove that. Also did some bug fixes on T doors, some visibility glitches and sadly had to switch back to the old brown water instead of the new one. This is because on some peoples PC's it was invisible water, which wouldn't really work out too well!   22. Sadly this can be marked as rejected I think. For some reason lots of people were getting "Missing Map" errors when they tried to get into the game, and it was even crashing CSGO.exe -_- Unsure as to just what is causing that right now as it is very stable on my own pc.

  24. Thanks for letting me know, and for trying to test it out on the server At least i wont make this same mistake on the Hunger Games map Honestly i reckon most of it is just the lighting and the rain working well together, i think its full of flaws otherwise Thanks though
