  1. Congratulations @fozilla mirefox ! While I personally haven't worked with you on any of your maps, from discussions on Discord/Slack it's clear you're putting in some amazing work and that this award was extremely well-deserved. Thanks for all that you do, and I look forward to the other contributions you make .
  2. Lays ketchup is addicting
  3. This thread started off as a simple "If a t is gunplanted, can a ct kill him/her right away?", and @Dominic's reply answers it perfectly. However, I'm going to address something else that this thread derailed into which is whether you can kill a T with a holstered/unholstered primary in a crowd of Ts. My post here which was brought up earlier by @TheZZL and @delirium was a bit misleading, so I'll edit it in a bit to make it more aligned with what the JB team feels. We had a pretty hefty discussion about this topic FYI, and there were strong arguments for both sides. The gist is: while primaries are always KOS no matter the reason, crossfire is admin's discretion and is largely (if not always) reserved for cases where people are attempting to use the justified killing of one person to mow down as many people as possible. However, because our rule is that primaries are KOS, it is not against the rules to spray into a crowd of Ts to try to kill one T. You will not be punished nor warned in any way for doing this since it's not against our rules, plain and simple. That being said, if it's pretty obvious you're mowing down an entire crowd and people who were absolutely not in the way of the one KOS T with the primary, that's against the rules and falls under abusing crossfire. But if you're a CT and you see a T with a gun, holstered or not, you can kill that T and if you end up killing other people who were in the way, it's unfortunate but at the end of the day any T with a primary is an active threat and thus KOS. So the tl;dr is: yes, you can kill Ts who are in a crowd who have a primary, holstered or not, and if other people are in the way. If you abuse this to kill others who were not in the way, that is against the rules.
  4. DM @Caution about it, he handles donations .
  5. That should be on your side... take a look at your Paypal and see what subscriptions you have active and make sure you didn't add SG twice.
  6. Seems a little unnecessary to be honest with you. It's not much work to scroll up a few lines to see what was missed. People sneaking in stuff that breaks the rules are punished anyway - leave that up to us to handle (: as @Trazz mentioned it'll show up in console. Also, moving this to the suggestions box since "nextmap" is something available on all servers @Andy Dufresne
  7. Definitely, and you're not alone there. Good suggestion nonetheless and I can see where it comes from .
  8. And that's the point, right? Detectives were never meant to be an equal to traitors AFAIK. Innocents and detectives work together to determine who the traitors are. If you feel like you're an innocent sometimes that's part of the gamemode IMHO - the uncertainty of who to trust and who not to trust is what makes the gamemode fun and risky.
  9. To add on to the above points (specifically what @John said about credit management), a detective is far from useless without a taser. DNA points out who killed who and is almost (if not equally) as effective as a taser. Not only that, but this taser suggestion is only for the beginning of the round. Detectives gain credits if any traitor on the map is killed (1 credit per traitor killed by anyone). As a sidenote: if detectives are truly "useless" without tasers, this would only help with the beginning of the round until that initial taser is used. If you're finding you're out of credits mid-round, try IDing some bodies and finding more traitors
  10. So does clicking into the subforum of the server you want to check a rule of... it makes more sense to containerize everything in their own server-specific threads. I can see a huge megathread being a pain to maintain and search for things within when our current system is perfectly fine. If I want to search up when I can force deathgames, it's two clicks: JB subforum -> rules thread, where the thread is small enough that I can skim through and find what I want. The rules thread was never meant to be a huge paragraph by paragraph bible, and is instead meant to be as concise as possible while covering all the bases. Having a megathread defeats the purpose of being able to quickly reference something... what you'd want to find would be buried.
  11. @jim What rules specifically aren't covered in the rules threads on our forums or the FAQ? To the best of my knowledge our rules threads (at least for JB) are always updated if we need to change rules.
  12. Normally if they don't specify what they want you to do, you are expected to get there without delaying, aka not shift walking, crouch walking, etc. unless asked to do so. So yes, you're expected to automatically bum rush in this situation.

  15. Cool, looks like this thread is thoroughly answered so I'm going to lock it. If you have any more concerns feel free to make another thread. Great questions @Noxstar .
  16. That's not allowed, that's forcing Ts to teamkill. @Tweedledee please bro
  17. EDIT: @Military_king has the right answer in his reply. No, otherwise anyone doing S4S or gun toss would be KOS. If a T shoots/kills another CT who is not participating in the LR however, that is KOS. A KOS order is an order which would cause a T to become KOS, something like "all Ts go to armory" or "all Ts go into the vent". Diving boards itself is not KOS. Here is a list of KOS areas: Because diving boards are not in that list, they are not KOS. Thus, jumping up and down on diving boards is not KOS. Legal for the T or CT? It is legal for the T assuming they didn't doing something KOS in order to stop the LR. It is legal for the CT as well. ALSO: Moving this to Questions and Info @Noxstar
  18. Bread has a voice?
  19. Yeah, if a CT dies with !fo that means regular orders can be given by any CT as normal (checked with @Manny). Good question.
  20. Considering no official answer was provided, I bumped this up to the higher-ups and am re-marking this as being reviewed.
  21. Rihanna is a rapper? wtf?
  22. @Eskomo YOU LET ME DOWN BRO WHY IS YOUR NAME SPELLED WRONG
  23. "ddos" - @Uno cc: @Manny @Greggy G @Phoenix_
  24. Is the only reason just to prevent harassment? Harassment should always be reported to IA+, regardless of whether or not complaints are anonymized. IMHO they should be kept public, partially because it is useful for regulars to see which other regulars are actively contributing to the player complaints section as it can be a big factor in showing admin material or dedication to want to become admin. However, by far the biggest reason for me to keep them transparent is to hold players accountable. If you want to make a complaint about someone, you should have enough evidence that shows the player actually did something wrong, as opposed to filing a complaint with little to no evidence and having no risk of your reputation being tarnished while you've accused someone else of breaking the rules. This last statement might be a little controversial, but it's just a thought.
  25. @Spooked FYI: Moved to Rules Discussion. Talked with @Manny and it's very well-defined that this is KOS for reasons others stated above. Another concern is that if we allow this one location it opens up a can of worms where other people start complaining that certain pixelwalks shouldn't be KOS because of XYZ other reasons. For these reasons, this probably won't be implemented. Thanks though .
