CTs already have a hard enough time getting all the cells open with a single button by 4:00 - we don't really think CTs would find it enjoyable to have to manually open groups of cells at a time.   5. This was fixed by a rule change we made a few weeks ago - you can revoke these orders (and freedays) without repurcussion. This has the potential of opening up a can of worms if we were to ban freedays given via chat orders. The logic behind wanting to ban freedays given via chat orders is because it can cause chaos, right? This same logic can be used for chat orders as a whole because if CTs don't notice a chat order is given and Ts start to follow it, it'll cause chaos as well. To simplify things and avoid going down that route we're going to leave it with the above rule.
  6. Pretty much this. Yes, it's a conflicting order, but generally we leave it up to the admin to handle these cases. If Ts want to be safe they should be following the new order.

Ideally the plugin should be able to handle this and be in charge of dictating when an LR is completed/aborted, but this plugin is pretty buggy so we'll just leave it until a replacement is added. In the meantime, the JB ATs met and agreed that this situation is actually covered. When Manny (CT) and I (T) are in a shot for shot and Military_king kills Manny, that is considered to be interrupting the LR even though the LR is complete. Thus, I'm not KOS and I can safely request a new LR. Let me know if this is what you meant @Takuto.

  9. Personally, I really doubt any CA would want to dig through hours of demo/video footage to find a single instance of mass-freekill or something. Paired with the fact that it'd take up a huge amount of storage on our end, I don't think we'd go down this route. Nonetheless, I'll talk with the team about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

  11. Infinityward's post pretty much sums this up. CTs' attention should be focused on cells anyway, so if you take a step out of your cell that isn't blatant, but it does deserve a warning shot. Like Infinityward said though - if they move away from the cell area or stray too far from their cell causing you to divert attention away from all the other Ts as per the definition of blatant rebel, then yes, it's blatant.
  12. We found that the server didn't really enjoy playing it since the map consists of mainly deathgames without enough secrets. This would be a fantastic map for events though, so consider this suggestion... semi-accepted?

  14. That's it. It should be used if you know an admin is online. All it does is put a message in chat for admins that X user reported Y user for freekilling. Players will no longer get punished if they use !calladmin if an admin is online, so you should use !calladmin all the time since you often won't know if there is an admin online or not. !calladmin lets out-of-game admins and in-game admins know about a situation occurring on the server. !fk is limited to in-game only. I will discuss with the team about whether or not !fk should be removed.
  15. This has come up multiple times with people suggesting we take more admins in, create some auto-mod for JB, or give players a votekick function. We already have admin apps open and admins must meet the admin application requirements. The requirements were significantly lowered already, and lowering them further doesn't make any sense. Auto-mod for JB will never happen given the need for context and that every situation is different. Votekick function will never be implemented because of the high potential for abuse. But even when admins aren't online, as mentioned above you can use !calladmin to try to get one online, make a player complaint, or come on Teamspeak and see if anyone has any time to hop on. I sympathize with your frustration and I've been there myself, but unless you have some godlike idea that hasn't been considered we're already doing our best. School has started and many admins are busy with their lives. In the meantime there are several avenues where you can deal with this problem yourself without needing an admin online .
  16. Highly highly suggest doing a quick search of our forums as this has been discussed several times. Our stance has not changed for the following reasons: 1. Snitches get stitches (eventually). 2. Actual snitching rarely occurs, and as mentioned above people "snitch" to cause some chaos. 3. Ts already are doing extremely well on the server. There's no need to "buff" them seeing as snitching is part of the RP as well. Thanks to everyone above who mirrored our thoughts. tldr: snitching is not teamkilling.

  21. We're in the process of dealing with it, sit tight. We have a few options on our side that we're navigating through, but this thread will remain open in case something comes up that we haven't considered.
  22. At the moment you get your ammo and some kevlar refilled if you kill anyone, headshot or not. I've seen other servers have it so you only get ammo refilled if you get either 3 kills or you kill someone with a headshot. This may be something we want to consider to prevent huge spray and prays which wouldn't happen in a regular competitive game, and to instead encourage people to go for headshots as they do in competitive. Every time you respawn there's a message in the middle of your screen saying "You are playing Steam-Gamers.net FFA DM" - this gets really annoying after a while and I'm not aware of a way to disable this. Could we please reconsider this feature? 2. On respawn your screen goes dark for 1-2 seconds before brightening up again. This gets annoying very quickly... not sure if this is on just my side or everyone. 3. The spawns seem a bit off. Other servers seem to respawn you in areas where there aren't people so you aren't domed on spawn, but I've found that our plugin doesn't seem to do this (?). This leads to a people camping spawns. Not sure if this is because our population is too high or if there's a problem with the plugin. 4. Something to consider but not something I'm pushing for is a more sensitive AFK Manager so people who aren't active are moved to spec quicker. Considering the low slot # on this server as well as the already crowded map, this may benefit us. Thanks .
