  2. To go into more reasoning: 1. CT lockout times are completely arbitrary. There are arguments for 30 minutes, 30 minutes alive, 1 hour, etc. But this lockout time is not meant to ensure Ts fully know the rules before joining CT. I doubt people know the full ruleset and nuances even with 6 hours on the server. Basic rules and intuition should be established by the time 30 minutes is up - that is, "do not kill without reason", "give warning shots where applicable". With this basic intuition instilled in the player they can then join CT and try it out with players correcting them when they fuck up. You learn best when you jump right into the experience. Admins and players alike are here to help new players learn the rules and enjoy JB. If there are any malicious actors, they'll be taken care of (: 2. T point system to join CT doesn't seem to feasible in practice. For some players 25 kills/points/whatever may take a long time. For others it may take 15 minutes. Because of the inconsistent player experience this change may bring we've decided to keep our current course with regards to our CT lockout time. CT lockout times have been debated quite frequently recently. I encourage everyone to take a look at past discussions and see what was brought up and rejected already before creating more threads like this. @TheZZL has done a good job of researching+introducing new points, and although rejected, it brought up great discussion in the community and at the higher-up level. Thanks for the thread. Believe us - we feel your frustration, and although this suggestion isn't the avenue we chose to deal with this problem, we do have things in the works that may address this.

  4. CTs are responsible for giving orders and mentioning locations that are distinguishable and unique. Telling a T to go to "showers" when a map has multiple showers can be confusing for the Ts. For example, Razor has "big cage", "medic", "pool", "soccer". All of these locations are unique. But on VIP there are two showers which you pointed out. So you were actually fine. Next time you can ask the CT to clarify.
  5. 11/10/19 We're cleaning up two rules and combining them into one to shorten the ruleset: OLD: NEW: • A CT is not allowed to cheat or delay during an LR. A prisoner who cheats or delays during their LR is KOS. Rule is the same, just shortened so it's easier for new players to digest. Cheers (: thanks @Dominic for pointing it out.

To be honest, I would be extremely hesitant adding a rule saying something like "all CTs must give orders every 1 minute and 30 seconds" because having that rule will likely encourage people to toe the line to be assholes or something. We have this rule in place: "• CTs must give reasonable orders and shouldn't repeat the same orders often." I would assume having Ts crouch, freeze, and knife the ground for 2 minutes is an unreasonable order. Nonetheless, this is a case where admins can tell CTs to continue giving orders and this situation is already handled as such. I'll bring this thread up with the team to see if anything needs to be addressed here, thanks.

An especially big congratulations to @H4X0R and @John - it's been great seeing you two put in hard work since getting SA and seeing you now as ATs is surreal. Additionally, @Infinityward has been a great help with mapping and I'm happy to see him on the Modding Team. Great job everyone!

  11. That's the Board's decision. From what I've seen previous SAs tend to get SA back. A previous A likely won't get SA immediately given they hadn't earned SA the first time around.
  12. We heard the feedback around players getting set on fire loud and clear and disabled this near the end of the event. The RTD plugin had other rolls like giving players smokes, flashes, double jump, etc. Did you also find these rolls to not fit our server? Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, those rolls can be disabled easily. If we were to disable those annoying AF rolls would you still see the RTD plugin as a nuisance vs. a fun addition as an event feature?   15. 11/08/19 - Halloween event is over! Removed RTD plugin and (some) Halloween models. Thanks everyone for participating (: - Venom and SAS Agent are here to stay (: Venom will be free for all CTs whereas SAS Agent will remain a VIP skin - Removed metal detector functionality on Clouds and added the map back into the map cycle (thank you @Infinityward, @Im Sad and @Gxqs) - Replaced Halloween Razor with regular Razor

  21. Because suggestions can be made and feedback gathered from the community? UX/UI is a part of my job and having a message flash in front of your screen every time you deal damage doesn't make for good UX and should have a toggle. Not entirely sure what prompted your aggressiveness - I was sleepy AF, noticed something I thought could be improved, and posted hoping others would post as they do with every single other suggestion made in this subforum. With FFA doing so well right now even the smallest things can make a great improvement. Allowing players to customize their experience on FFA within reason instead of the "live with it" mindset you seem to have is the right way to go IMHO considering the numerous other FFA servers out there.   22. Seems excessive to have damage logs appear in the middle of the screen on each hit - not sure if this is beneficial or excessive. Could use community opinions on this one
