100% agree with you on this one. I think the portion should be removed entirely or changed to "Can detectives give orders?" with a simple "No" as the answer. It's pretty known that detectives purpose is to get DNA, taser people, and drop health stations occasionally and I think it's a given that you call sus on someone if they are acting weird. I doubt their would be much confusion with the removal of the rule

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn't claiming that for this specific issue most players agree with me or it would be better for the server as I honestly don't know if either of those are true. My point was that we shouldn't be going into suggestions for scrim with the mindset that if it's dissimilar to whatever they are trying to mimic then it's a no-go. I brought this up because I have seen this logic of keeping scrim similar to a PUG as the reasoning for a change multiple times now. I got to call you out on this one

I hate that entire argument. I don't understand why we are so set on keeping it as similar as possible (I understand we have to maintain a certain level of competitiveness, but turning off team damage isn't going to turn the entire server upside down lmao). If our players want something and it improves the server why wouldn't we add it? You can make the argument that it's not what you want or it would be detrimental to the server, but that's not what we're doing and I've seen this sort of statement over and over and over and it bugs the shit out of me

lol going back and reading my post. I asked for an increase in the timer is because I knew it wasn't going to get removed so I tried to at least extend the time Anyways, like I said 3 months ago, I think it fixes a non-problem for scrim and would like to see it removed.

I would highly suggest you record a few clips of the certain individual freeshooting and report it because we can definitely ban people who are constantly freeshooting if we follow protocol

This ^ Although a lot of other servers still keep the !ws and !knife plugin around valve has told the community they will not allow servers to run these anymore. Of course they're extremely inconsistent with their punishment and 99% of servers won't actually feel the effects, however we like to stay on the good side of Valve and have decided it's not worth the risk.
