Then remove the vent. The water kills them, let the deathgame actually kill them. It's not over thinking, it's fact. Killing them in the water is a sad excuse to get a point on your K/D. Again, I'm still not seeing any valid reason to kill them other than "Oh they agreed to a deathgame that means I get to kill them even though the death game has it's own way of doing so."

Should probably re-read his post then, because that's exactly how he puts it. You are not allowing the T's to fully utilize the map as intended and instead are killing them just because they fell into the water. As to your statement about them escaping in the vent, that's the point of the vent. I'm still not seeing any valid indication as to why you are killing them for dropping into the water. Edit: I'm trying to find words for this statement.. because my initial post makes perfect sense. You are killing someone who is NOT KoS because they could rebel not that they ARE rebelling. Basically all I see is people admitting to mass free kill because they didn't want to give them a chance to actually rebel. On top of that, what real disadvantage are you at if they do go into the vent? The Water damaged them severely depending on how fast they got into the vent so just have a CT watch medic and pool. You already have a huge advantage over the T's I don't even know why this needs to be discussed any further.

That's only Dominics opinion. The vent is there for them to either Rebel which then in turn makes them KoS or not and let the water kill them. The fact that people are getting shot in the water is blatant freekill and kill whoring. They are not rebelling by being in the water, that forum thread doesn't answer anything. Edit: From that thread Dominic states that it is his opinion that you can kill them because they could "potentially rebel". If that were the case, you might as well spray everyone down at the start of the round for having the option to "potentially rebel". It's already bad enough that CT's will intentionally delay the round with one or two orders just to keep the T's from having the chance.

So apparently, people are under the assumption that you can kill a T that falls into the water of four corners on summer jail. This is infact a freekill, the vent is there for a reason so if they want to rebel they have the option. Otherwise the water will kill them. Can we get clarification on this in the actual rules to stop this unnecessary freekilling.

Me and a buddy of mine play this, as Metal said it's really complex but once you get the hang of how things work it just becomes a lot easier to manage. They added a dungeon master mode too I believe which just adds to the fun. I highly recommend this game if you don't mind reading dialogue and turn based combat. There are things you wouldn't think of doing.. my first ever playing, I got the bright idea of moving a candle onto some oil. Not thinking it was going to work, but infact it did and I set a whole group of enemies on fire. Just beware of undead, they are an absolute bitch to kill if you aren't prepared for them because they bleed poison and it just heals them.

It's funny that you mention this, because that's exactly what happened when this went down a bit ago. He got jumped on soooo fast, all of the admins were on T. It was like.. 7 T's vs 13 CT's, it was pretty crazy but super fun as well.

I think I'm sold then on the Steel Series because I'm not 'that' rough on them and I don't even let my dog anywhere near my computer. Thanks for all the information guys, I think I've made my decision.

Oh nice, didn't even know we had one of these. Had a good laugh watching some of these, I'd most certainly like to see more content added and kudos to whoever does the editing I can't sit still for that. I'd offer clips from my point of view sometimes but my audio is wonky because Shadowplay gets autism with 7.1 surround sound.

Yeah, I was looking at a few of those. I'm thinking of getting one of those just to save the money, because they do look like they are pretty durable. It's almost like my headphones always have duct tape or electrical tape holding the earphones on. Same thing happened with my previous pair, which were a Thermaltake SHOCK and those headphones were great in my opinion. Just the same thing always happens and they seem to break right at the headphone.

If I had to save up a bit, I'd most definitely go for top quality over good quality. I think in the long run it would be worth it, and I sure as shit will be getting insurance on it if available just in case something were to happen.

That's one of my concerns with some of these nicer looking headsets is the detachable mic, It looks nice but it also looks like it could easily break. I was also considering going the route of just getting a nice table mic and a nice pair of headphones seperate. It would probably cost me more in the long run, but I think the quality of the mic and headphones would equal something much better than a normal gaming headset.

The only problem I see is getting the player base back. Other than going around advertising a moderated casual server, which to me sounds like a spammy douche thing to do. As to what we could do that would make it stand out from the others, I'm willing to brainstorm and try to think of some things. The fact that it died out the second time I'm assuming is that when it was taken down the first time, the normal players that were there went onto different servers. I'm not sure what you expected when it was taken down the first time and then brought back after everyone found different servers to play on. If you can provide a valid reason as to why it shouldn't come back, I'm all ears. I actually see MadHatter and Magic in the normal MM casual sometimes and I'm sure they would be more than happy to come back. Considering there's not a lot of room to work with when it comes to making the server spectacular without hurting the game play. I know a lot of servers let people bunny hop and all that garbage, but that's honestly not fun at all. It's more annoying to deal with someone cruising along with auto hop. I'm not sure why you think it wouldn't appeal, as Scrim is only used in the off hours and when people gather up and decide to actually get on. Retake is boring imho and the last time I tried to play Retake i couldn't even join a team.. As for BR, like I had mentioned before it's not a very good game mode. It has a lot of potential, but in it's current state you are better off just playing whatever clone of Arma BR you find most enjoyable.

This brings back memories of that Minecraft map with the climb that your T buddies would make the glass floor break out from under you. I absolutely refuse to go onto something that can kill me even if a CT orders it. I tend to see this a lot from players who are not really regulars and don't honestly care whether they team kill you. It's just one of those things that you have to be careful with when near your teammates when in an area that someone can use to kill you.

Well considering that most Dust 2 servers are over seas, and I based that judgement on some googling I did trying to find one myself. There's a few different places were people have been upset at the fact that most of the servers were either high ping/DM's/or just Comp servers with low player caps. Not to mention I hear it a lot in the normal matchmaking just simply due to the lack of moderation in valve servers. This is all just from personal observation, I mean I'm not going to keep pressing the issue if you honestly feel it won't come back to it's former glory and a simple no will absolutely suffice.

So I'm looking to get a new Headset, and I'm looking for quality and durability. Preferrably something that's more metal than the cheap ass plastic they are constantly making them out of. I've been looking at a few of the SteelSeries but I'd like to get some other recommendations. As it currently stands I use the Logitech G430 and I really love the headset, but as I said they break far too easily for my liking especially at the ear piece where the headphone is connected to the head band. My price range would be anywhere from $100 - $200 give or take depending on the quality.

If there is a switch to Discord, I personally will never use it. To be fair, I prefer Mumble over TS as well, simply due to privacy reasons as nothing is ever logged and seen by anyone else other than who is chatting with us. For awhile there, there were bots going to public discords spamming child pornography and with a service that easily allows you to spam pictures in the public chats, I don't honestly recommend it and could see toxic players getting out of hand, which would require a lot more moderation not only on the servers but on the discord as well. Honestly I think TS is only useful if you feel like paying for the slots and have a large enough community to support it, otherwise Mumble has always been the better choice just for it's simplicity and free use.

I never do this because it's honestly a very confusing Simon says command, but I agree that if given the command "Simon say's look at me at all times" *T's stare* "Simon say's do a 180", this automatically cancels the look at me at all times due to the fact that you forced them to look away from you. Now as for the 360, I would assume the command can still stand as it lets the T's just do a circle and their line of sight falls right back onto Simon anyway. As I said, it's very confusing and could potentially lead to a freekill. Personally I think Simon say's is an overplayed death game and I usually never take part in them when it's specifically that unless I want to get close to Simon anyway and slice him up just to stop it.

I started when I was able to comprehend what I was doing on a PC with my Father showing me a thing or two and letting me play Commander Keen. Ever since then I've been hooked, soon playing GTA, Delta Force, and CS when they released. I've witnessed the changing of games over the years, and they have come a loooooong way.

They knifed a CT, they are already dead. You can kill any T you see that assisted in the death of a CT via Kill feed. Never believe a T, they will do anything to get you to suicide unless you witness the CT actually baiting.
