Hello everyone, It's time to introduce our Member of the Month for July! The Member of the Month award is given to a member that has gone above and beyond in a particular month to better the community and deserves special recognition for the work and effort they've put in. We don't give this out often, so when we do you know that the person is most definitely deserving of it. The recipient of this award will receive the following badge on the forums: This person has truly earned this award for the work they've put in recently. To better our TTT server, this person ported over maps from Garry's Mod, made edits to existing maps on our server and created brand new ones. This in and of itself was more than enough for us to want to give it to him. He is also very active on our forums / TeamSpeak and usually participates in important discussions relating to the community. Please join me in congratulating @fozilla mirefox as the recipient of this esteemed award!

We already have a ranking system for the T side which is based off of kills. Doing this for the CT side will most likely never happen as it would encourage CTs to go for kills, so instead we've matched it with a system based off of playtime. This encourages people to play CT while not encouraging any change in their behavior as one. It's also something that is displayed in-game as opposed to the Stats page that barely anyone knows about, let alone checks.

If the T gets gunplanted with a primary, then yes. If it's a pistol then it depends on if it's holstered or not.

It's still in the works. @IntenseFajita has done us the favor of creating the plugin and has a working version, but there's still work to be done.

Same thing I said here: https://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=87963&page=3&p=984892&viewfull=1#post984892 Clouds was killing the server. Connecting the islands and retrying the map is worth a go, may still not fix it though.

Anyone who is in our staff ranks can nominate people for staff of the month. Honestly chances are you guys would just all end up nominating the same person that the IA+ already had their eyes on. Our staff members can nominate people but for the most part the IA+ members are involved with the community enough to know who should be in the running to get it.

Admins should not be forcing players onto CT, allowing that would be one of the worst things we could do for the server. You'd be forcing players into situations where they could potentially accidentally break rules and get themselves banned, we encourage new players to play T for a reason.

Making a plugin to not allow the ratio to get too T sided wouldn't make any sense. If the ratio is bad and someone joins the server who has never played before, are they forced onto CT because there's too many Ts? I am completely against forcing people onto CT in any case. If the ratio has been getting too T sided lately (I can attest to the fact that it has) then doing something like this right now wouldn't be a good idea, because it would only potentially further the problem. I've wanted to do a monthly gangs contest since we started planning the plugin though, it was always my intention. However, it'd undoubtedly be better to wait for the CT ranks plugin or other additions that would remedy that problem.

Malibu was banned a couple days ago for trolling on the forums, which consisted of a couple forum posts and some shoutbox messages. His original ban length was 3 days, however, after a higher up discussion we've decided to extend it to a month. He has quite the history of trolling on our forums and clearly has no idea when to stop, so we're hoping this may finally get the message across.
