KenjiOnline, Fridthiof and shøts have all been permanently banned for racism and trolling in general. They clearly have something against SG and have no plans to play here with good intent, so there's no point in keeping them around. If you don't want to be here, just leave. There's no point in coming back just to make yourself look like a clown.

It's perfectly fine for a CA to go through and respond to suggestions giving reassurance to people that their suggestions are being looked into, especially considering I was consulted for each and every one of them. Thanks for the suggestion though, we appreciate it!

Different situations call for different punishments. We can't make a guide telling you what's worthy of a ban and what isn't, because there's so many different factors. You can use your own judgement to determine whether or not you should report somebody, but ultimately it will come down to the CA+ who does your complaint. This isn't something we'll be doing, thanks for the suggestion though.

The managers and I have all agreed to leave this how it is. We have a voting system on the server, not a set rotation, the maps aren't getting overplayed because we're forcing them onto people, they're getting overplayed because there's overwhelming support for them. Those maps have tons of time played on the server and are among our most popular ones, we don't want to force people to play less popular maps. Also a quick PSA / reminder that passive aggressive behavior / speech does not get you anywhere. It doesn't make us feel more inclined to listen to you, just makes you look like an asshole. Feel free to PM me or another manager if you'd like to discuss this further.

Grenades can be used as warning shots, as can knives. A warning "shot" is just any damage dealt by a CT between 1-99 damage, they can use any means to do so. Invisible buttons are KOS, pressing the invisible button in big cage or isolation on razor makes you KOS.

In addition to the above, Malibu has also been banned for 7 days for harassment.

The map was removed because it was crashing the server. Since then, we haven't tried re-adding it. Even if it doesn't work, we can try adding an older version of the map and see how that goes. It's something we'll do, but just not something we're prioritizing. You can send your "cry of plea" to thorgot in private though.

You can go to our Stats page at the top, click on Jailbreak, then click Maps and sort by time played. There's been three versions of your map on the server and together they have ~8 hours played so far.

When the death-game is forced, you aren't allowed to spray the Ts down, as per the rule Gentoo stated. When the death-game is voluntary, you can gun them down as soon as they fall into the water.

It's coming up on three years since that post has been edited, so I'm quite doubtful. Obviously if you still want to reach out to the guy, feel free to do so.

Redie is a plugin we've tried previously. It had a bug where if a ghost stood inside of an alive player, another alive player couldn't knife them. Gunshots also did reduced damage when a ghost stood in front of a bullet. It's something I worked with @Noctember on for a little while before I abandoned the project to focus on other ones that were more of a concern at the time. It's definitely something we can look into again though and I think it's a good idea. The idea in the OP might be possible but I think it'd be a bit more complicated and it might just not be a good fit for Jailbreak, but it's something the Jailbreak team and I can discuss.

I apologize for the delay and me never having posted here, genuinely. I wanted to fuel the discussion further with a post but never got around to it, then I meant to close out this thread sooner but got delayed again. Delirium is correct in his assessment in regards to my activity, I've been quite busy with real life. Lots of the posts here have already summed up how the Jailbreak team feels about this. For the sake of simplicity, it's best we keep this as is. Caution's post already pointed out a flaw with the ruling you proposed and I'd say it'd be almost impossible to think of one, concise rule to cover all our bases for a change like this. It'd probably require a new, decently sized list of map specific rules and that is just not something we want to implement for a minuscule aspect of the gameplay such as this one. Additionally, which I believe was already mentioned, it's completely up to personal opinion for deciding what vents give an advantage and which don't and I don't think it'd be difficult to argue that they all give some sort of advantage and should be KOS. Even if we were to ignore the argument of what vents should or should not be KOS, we feel it's in the best interest of the server to keep it as is for now because a whole new set of rules is not something we think would do the server good right now. We really appreciate the suggestion though and thanks to everyone who posted their thoughts in the thread, great discussion.
