Back in the gmod days, many jailbreak servers had a mixed system for wardens. First, CTs who wanted to be warden would enter the queue, and every round, a vote would be held for CTs to vote who the warden would be, if there were more than one option to vote for. Such a system allowed for CTs to vote for a warden that made the CTs job easier rather than for Ts for vote for a warden that offers them the most (hence possibly creating "vote for me and X" situations). System worked great and wasn't subject to much abuse by most. Some servers had an automatic freeday given once warden died (that isn't possible on our server, but it is worth mentioning) While our server could pass by by only having a warden-free rest of the day, in the event he'd die. From what I recall, these servers had the best warden system out there, back then. I'm not advocating for any system here, but many arguments I'm reading here are pure speculation and/or ignorance of systems that are tried and true compared to facts made out of thin air.

^this I don't see how you can make it practical to have 10+ buttons in a room. Sure, you could make a open/close all button on the side, but it's a ridiculous amount of work for the very few maps this *could* be beneficial on. If you're making your own map, do what you want, but it's not that much of a practical issue in most cases, since CTs have the power to order a freeze if they want a cell check.

Applying for admin != getting admin. There isn't causal link between the requirements and the quality of our admins, our standards have not changed. I understand where you are coming from, but this does not inherently create worse admins. IAs and BDs go through applications regardless of requirements, this alone acts as a quality control, if you like to see it that way. I don't think you know exactly was the pretense was, since the discussion leading to the change was way beyond your reach at the time. That's just my point of view, I don't think we need to re-reform the requirements for admin applications. I believe the change has proven to work, and reversing it because it doesn't seem to be needed anymore is a fairly weak argument.

double bump Been listening to Polygondwanaland straight from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's 5 album spree of 2017. This is a prog-psych rock adventure in 7/4 and 7/8. Shit's so fucking mesmerizing to listen to, absolute fucking gods who make my composition look like children tunes. Inspires me a lot to work with odd time signature and progressive composition in the near future ; aka stay tuned fuckers [video=youtube;c-fvFv8uprA] And been bumpin their newest record, released mid August, Into The Rat's Nest, a hard, heavy thrash metal album hitting like its the 80's. Crazy instrumentation coming from musicians who are not metal musicians and composers. Definitely re-ignited my love for heavy metal, which I had lost following Metallica's latest record. A must listen if you're a metalhead or enjoy old heavy material. oh and they released a video game to hype the album up @ marsfortherich.com
