Here's a good one. One I've told a couple people here, rather a scary situation than a dumb one. So I work at a bowling alley, and my job is there to work the counter, check people in for games collect money, and distribute bowling shoes and stuff, the whole ordeal. This specific night, my manager wasn't there, and it was just me, the cook, and bartender during a league on a Friday night. We had about 4 lanes available for anyone public use because the league filled up the rest. So this group of about 13 people came in to bowl, and I gave them two lanes. But the catch is that they only paid for 10 bowlers, and I told one of them; "You have more than 10 people, and you only paid for 10, so if you put more than 10 names up there, it's gonna turn off early" he responded with okay and walked to his lanes. Some time passed, and about 1/4 way in to their second game it turned off on them because they had 3 more names up there then what they paid for, so they came over and told me, (here's where it gets interesting) I told them I can't turn them back on because the system had an auto turn off for what they paid for, and that they put too many names on the scoring screen. They told me I was full of shit and that they did pay for everyone (which they didn't and it's right there on my computer screen) and they got pissed off. I told them if they wanted to finish the game they had to pay for the 3 other bowlers. Them being the cunts they were said I was wrong, and started screaming at me. There's about 10 of them standing at this counter screaming at me in front of the league. They began cussing and screaming and threatening to hurt me over a mere 20 dollars they had to pay. I tried to talk to them but I eventually just gave up and let them yell because it wasn't getting anywhere. They were asking things like "When do you get off work?" and saying things like "I'm gonna beat your ass" and "I'm gonna fucking kill you" and I just stood still drinking the lemonade I had in my hand. After about a minute or two my coworkers finally came over and tried to defuse the situation with no luck, we ended up turning their lane back on just to get them to go away, only for the first ball to be thrown was entirely reckless so we turned them off and they stormed out. About 5 or so minutes later police arrived because a league bowler had called them it was that bad. Probably one of the scariest moments in my life having 10 adults threatening to hurt me or kill me over 20 dollars. Bonus: Was able to find a review of our bowling alley that same night, and yes they were black and I am white, but no I'm not being racist I was just doing my job.

@I Am Wolf basically this. There's already enough yelling and people talking over each other during the round. Transferring it over to dead chat isn't necessary because it just isn't going to make much of a difference except cause headaches. If the player really isn't mature enough or can't control themselves not to scream on the mic at the start of the round, and or starts doing dumbshit and causing a disturbance over something small then A) Make a player complaint or B) Get an Admin Also to add on, if an admin is online, he can't monitor dead chat if they are using mics, so that is when players would be most disrespectful and screaming, and admins can't do anything if they aren't dead as well, so keeping it in dead chat (which they can see) allows them to better monitor the people who might start spamming or being disrespectful. @Gator also makes a good point as well. Voice chat is just for convenience but also brings along a lot of screaming that isn't necessary.

What Repus is saying is that there is no need to make another thread on it 10 days later, when you can just respond to the other one since it never really came to a conclusion. You don't need a mic to be able to ask a CT why you were killed, as a matter of fact the whole no mic use when dead helps with players screaming less after they die, but can still ask why they were killed, either to the dead CT, or if an admin is online, put it in chat and he will ask the CT that killed you if he is still alive. Have CTs order off mic till X time, and if they continue to bitch about it warning shot and kill and that will get them to shut up. Most people will get upset when they believe they were wrongly killed, but usually get over it within the round and drop it, and if they continue to be an annoyance tell them to make a player complaint or get an admin if they continue to disrupt the flow of the game. If it really comes down to it you can block communication from other annoying T's as a T so you yourself can hear the CT orders if there is a select few T's being a real annoyance on the mic. Truth be told, JB gets loud and annoying, I wouldn't want to die and continue to get that loud annoying screaming from people who claim to have been freekilled.

The purpose behind scrim is for members already in the community to get together and play competitively against each other in the form of tournaments or just pick up matches. Which is why the last suggestion to try and populate scrim was rejected because trying to populate scrim has never been an issue because we don't use it for the purpose to get people in to the community with a small 12 man server. We have our other servers with 20 30 40 slots for that. To add on, i'm not against the idea of adding a leaderboard, I just don't know how difficult it would be to implement that. EDIT: Tapatalk is retarted, and post beat me to the punch, someone delete my retarted double post please!

Though not too much of a "scrim addict" myself the idea is good. Though fundamentally would be the creation of this as a whole. That's the real obstacle, would be instituting or creating a plugin that would track individual wins in game for each player, then having that carry over on to the forums with a leaderboard and rank people from top to bottom, and reset every month. With the awards on the forums, it seems like it would be creating a lot of work if we had different awards for each time you took 1st place or 2nd place, and it would also clutter up with you possibly having all 3 ribbons for different months on one server, with every other server only having one and that's based on time played. I'm not really too fond on how your idea would be played out but since i'm at work can't really think of any alternatives ATM but I will tonight or tomorrow. That being said i'm gonna tag the scrim mastermind who created the wonderful server description @Black Rain and @Post for his masterful award artwork.
