Hello everyone, Today we have some promotions to announce! First off, to our Marketing Team we're bringing up Bacon! His new responsibilities will include: Manage all third party sites/applications. Manage all advertising, sponsorships, and affiliations. Recommend upgrades and general marketing aspects for the community. Research what the community likes / doesn't like. Upkeep the image of SG and help expand. Work with the Media Team to manage branding and community design. Work with the Media team to manage social media accounts (Youtube, Twitch, etc). Next up, we have a large amount of new Events Team members rolling in. Our newest additions are Benzene, Rygor, Creten, Disparity and Error! Their new responsibilities will include: Organize, plan, and run events Manage/Promote special events on our servers Manage and monitor gaming tournaments (ie. SGSL) Make sure servers are ready for all special events Schedule events to fill servers in need via the steam community Work with the Administrative Team to create events that cater to community interests Lastly, we have two people coming up to Events Manager! Both of these people have been putting a lot of effort into our Events Team and are clearly passionate about seeing it do well. They've shown that they're ready for the opportunity to lead the team and we're happy to give it to them. Kieran and Bacon will both be filling this position! Their responsibilities will remain the same, with the addition of managing the Events Team. Congratulations everyone!

How have your runs been ruined? This thread is 3 years old and the server has improved a lot since then. I have never experienced lag due to the map vote menu.

You're replying to a nearly year old thread. The AFK manager was fixed a very long time ago and a lot of the problems with the server have been fixed.

I have always fought for new servers. When @idealist was still around our plan was to roll out plenty of servers in new games in the hopes of straying away from CS:GO. Trying new things is my main focus in this community. I'm currently working on a server in an entirely different game that another person and I have put our blood, sweat, and tears into. I have other server ideas that I have proposed and one that is currently being waited to be greenlit. Expanding into new games is what I want to see this community do and it is what I am trying to pursue. I gave my opinion as you gave yours. I appreciate your opinion but I don't see why you had to come at my neck like that. Thank you.

I may be biased as I built SurfDM alongside @idealist but the same thing that happened to SurfDM will happen to a KZ server. It doesn't matter how many people say they'll spend hours populating it or how many people say that they would love it. I think it will have the same fate as SurfDM. I will admit, I slacked a lot with SurfDM but I put in so much effort to make it work but it still ended up being how it is today. I am no longer taking care of SurfDM but I don't think replacing it with another server that will probably die will be the best course of action. We got lucky with Retakes and 1v1 but I don't think we'll get lucky with a KZ server. That's just my opinion.
