1. Unless if this is some strange bug, were the NORMAL (NOT Particle) trails removed? I can remember from my very early days of SG seeing people run around with a static blue, purple, etc. trail behind them. Looking through the store, it seems as if they were removed and replaced with particle trails. Is this some strange bug? If not, would there be an issue with having both static and particle trails in the store? I just remember having one for the longest time and I just now noticed I no longer have it. If they were completely removed, though I doubt there is, would there be some way to compensate credits to the people who owned normal trails?
2. I'll still sub for you if that's cool. It's also my hoco day but my hoco doesnt start until 8, so I'd be good.
3. Sooooo when I win when will this be sent?
4. Check new date -- @Montag do you still need a sub?
5. Ill be a sub as well. (sorry im late)
6. Pros: - Freekiller respawn will be an AMAZING addition to the server, and will make players happy if they got freekilled [as long as you don't get stuck in a ceiling ;)] - Different colored markers will reduce confusion if one CT is trying to run a deathgame and the other is trying to give normal orders. - Communication bans are very big and should be added to all servers, if they aren't already. It will make punishments more just where I feel it's a little harsh for someone to get server banned for x amount of time, and it will be better just to have them off mic or off chat, and still letting them play the game while they learn not to be a nuisance on the mic or chat. Neutrals: - the !rmarker will be nifty for those that take note of it, but I feel it will go mostly unused, as markers will go away soon enough anyway. Cons: - None that I can think of as of yet. Will post if any problems arise with the changes.
7. No offense but I personally think this is a bad idea. It would give a Pay2Win aspect for JB, and if it's a VIP, Sub, Admin benefit it should be for all servers and not just one. Also, if I am correct there will not be "wardays" on the server as apparently the ATs are trying to figure out a unique system that is similar to that like how we have !fo as our "warden" system. Teleporting to armory for 500 credits is also a bit useless as most maps have easily accessible vents and teleports to armory that are pre-existing. BUT, the one thing I do think that might be OK is the KOS color thing, but I feel that it might be abused in some way. Overall, I don't really think implementing a warden system for just paying people and admins would be really fair or enjoyable for many players.
8. Unless I'm doing something totally wrong-- the demo you have supplied doesn't work when I try to playdemo BUT, if I'm not mistaken, the only time I've seen a bug with !fo is that if someone joins CT AFTER someone takes !fo, they can speak as well. IF that's a different bug than this, I can make a bug report on that one as well. EDIT: I've now scrolled up and realized that the bug I've mentioned is a different thing that happens, if and when I get proof of it, ill make a post about it.
9. Well since it would be an event, the server would more than likely be heavily populated. Say the server had 32 people on at the time, a 1:3 ratio would still be 8:24, which it is on a normal day sometimes when the server is at peak for the day. I feel like the admins vs. reg/players would be an interesting idea for this, but getting a lot of admins on board with doing it at the same time could be a challenge (you never know?) Pistols only for CTs would be unfair IMO. Say a T progressed to where they have a rifle, it wouldn't even be a fair match for a CT only having a pistol equipped on them. The only way I would find it fair for the CTs to have pistols is if they also progressed in the type of gun that they would have when killing rebellers.
10. Since this would take so much work, and a separate map would be needed to do this, maybe we could keep the map in the rotation of maps so that after the event people could still play it if they so pleased. If this ever gets done, that is.
11. Ts do NOT start with guns, they would need to pick them up. They also lose their guns at the end of the round. CTs can go into armory, of course.
12. Now, given the name- this may scare some people off. But, all I ask is that you give this idea a chance. Granted, this would require some sort of plugin, probably a special map made, and/or the use of going up a gun mechanic from arms race: I think this could be a really cool event. So the premise of this whole thing is actually pretty simple: CT- - Same objectives as usual - Same Guns - Same everything, it would just be a cool event for Terrorists. T- -Same basis of rebelling and killing CTs. - Gun-Game* Mechanic (*- I'll explain) - NO ARMORY - Maybe some sort of reward for getting most amount of kills during the event? Okay! So, here's the important part. The gun-game mechanic would essentially be the only guns a T could pick up would be a USP/P2k or a P250 around the map, and each kill on a CT, the gun would upgrade. If a T got a kill with a USP/P2k or P250, - Gun gets upgraded to a deagle If a T got a kill with a Deagle, - Gun gets upgraded to a random SMG If a T got a kill with the SMG, - Gun gets upgraded to AK/M4/A1-S (Random) If a T got a kill with the Rifle, - Gun upgraded to an AWP If a T got a kill with the AWP, - You're a greedy bastard, share the kills. (nothing) To make this more balanced I feel the ratio should be more 1:3 so the Ts have a better chance to rebel since they can only start with pistols, and have no access to armory. Feel free to leave thoughts and suggestions below as I probably made some sort of hole here that would be a terrible mistake.
13. im down
14. I'm aware of this, I just know FoG is a frequent player on SG quiet a few people may have added so who knows what people may think if they know someone who's sending it. Better safe than sorry, right?
15. The player by the name FoG Nukem seems to have had his account compromised and has been sending messages advertising for a website that's probably some new scam of a skin site. Please beware and do not fall for this link. Be safe friends
16. College Essay

Update: I emailed my teacher and she gave me a list of questions that are good for colleges in my area. I have since written my essay.
17. College Essay

The 6 schools I will be applying to all use the common app.
18. College Essay

Hey everyone, I need some help with what to write about for my college essay. Anything I look about for advice on what to write about says to "answer the question" but I wasn't given a question to write about, so I'm pretty lost as to what to write about. Any and all help and advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance, ~Phoenix
19. now THIS is epic.
20. Not gonna see an entry from me. Project got put on the backburner bc of school and work
21. SG Set Up Wars

I feel like this could be a bit unfair as someone could only afford to play on a craptop and not even have a chance compared to someone who could afford a far more expensive setup. The concept of it is cool, but I agree with what Ts said where it would probably just be better off in the computer setup thread.
22. I definitely agree with Trololo here. Just because other servers have gotten away with the whole gambling thing doesn't make it any safer to do so. If this community was 18+, and ONLY that, this might be a more doable idea. But, because Steam-Gamers has so many minors, and especially a lot of people in the servers in the 13-15 age range, I think SG could probably get into a bad legal situation if this was implemented.
23. Personally, I feel like where the requirements are for applying for admin are good where they are at. Post count won't matter because people will either take time into their posts or just post under anything they can so that they can get the 100 post mark. I can't really speak on getting admin because I myself haven't gotten there yet. But based off of what the other admins, higher-ups, and what I've seen in the community over time it seems like more of a general status in the community, not number of posts. For lack of a better example- NateS had around 700 posts before he got banned and when he applied for admin he probably had many posts, but little reputability and support to take such a position. To give a TLDR- I don't think there's a need for the post count requirement to be changed if that number is there to kind of be a hope for someone that has that many posts at least has a bit of a solid grasp of the rules and wanting to help improve SG as a whole. Decreasing the number won't hurt or improve the quality of the people aplpying, just maybe the number would increase. But that's why I don't really see a point. Personally, I post on the forums generally every day once or twice so if someone posted 2 good replies or threads a day then they could reach 100 posts in under two months. Sorry if this was ranty or really messy- I'm extremely tired and probably not the soberest.
24. !marker

I feel like even with different colors if 5 markers were placed at once there would be some sort of confusion among Ts or conflicting from CTs. I think 3 will be a good cap.
