  1. :gun: lemme shoot my shot?
  2. Much like urp said, it would be useful to the handful of regs who would care enough to watch it but the overall impact wouldn't be enough to make the map more meaningful in the rotation.
  3. That's the real reason why I think it should be removed. Nobody knows the map and no one really cares to learn. I think if anything, we could add an old map back that everyone knows like blackops or clouds.
  4. Map Removal Full map name jb_peanut_v3r Type of map Jailbreak Why should we remove it Playing on this map this morning really reminded me of its existence. This map is generally never played, and if it somehow ends up being played, it will just get rtv'ed in a matter of seconds. Not to mention, in my opinion, the map is very poorly laid out and pretty difficult to navigate to those who don't know the map. After a little searching, I would provide a map request to replace this in the map pool.
  5. nice guy. bit quirky doe.

  6. Much like Chloe, I would most likely pick a dog. I'd probably go for a Shiba Inu as far as breed goes.
  7. Morroco, is that close to Hawaii? - @Greggy G
  8. Psychologically speaking, it is more effective to do a large event to raise money. People are more likely to raise money in groups than not. There are reasons for this such as: 1. Goal Proximity- If people see a goal for donations and the amount donated is closer to the goal, people are more likely to give money to whatever cause you are raising money for. 2. The Time-Ask Effect: If we set a specific date to host this event, people are more likely to tune in compared to us just asking people for money. 3. Martyrdom Effect: This is why I brought up a certain goal reached = a certain amount of money. It is proven that people are more likely to donate money when it means a separate goal is achieved. For instance: Say I live-streamed myself riding a bike and the longer I got, the more money I would donate, right? This would up the chances of more and more people donating the further I got. 4. (Less psychological here, more common sense)- The Snowball Effect / "Monkey see, monkey do"- The more people we get, the more people will join. If people see 25 people working towards a charitable cause, chances are someone is going to want to join into the cause. People gain satisfaction over giving their time and money to good causes to help.

  10. Well, part of me getting to this point was taking feedback from everyone. I would want to know who's interested, who would contribute, and any possible ideas for events and stream ideas. I would gladly do a 24-hour stream. Possibly if we got people to commit to doing speedruns, we could do a Games Done Quick type of event where we had multiple people stream on a dedicated SG stream and have people speedrun certain games. GDQ has raised millions of dollars over its history. Granted, they are a HUGE organization by now, but we all start somewhere, right? It doesn't have to be speedrunning, but if we focused the stream on one topic, I feel like it would gain traction much easier, and that loops back to why I reached out before giving a full-fledged idea.
  11. Hey, I'm going to preface this by warning you as of right now that this idea is extremely vague, will need a lot of community support, and lots of planning. I think it would be really cool if SG organized an event on the forums/ts/discord/servers that would go on for a month and would be about raising money for a charity of the community's choosing. I think this would be great for spreading positive publicity for SG and will allow us to give back to the world around us. As SG is a global community, I thought it would be cool to donate to an American and International charity. How we go about raising money for these charities is where the help of our community would be needed. Any and all ideas to add to this are helpful. Perhaps we could do events where people try to achieve a certain total score amongst everyone and every time a point goal is hit, a certain amount of money would be added to the pool of money to be donated. "Where would the money come from?"-- I understand that most of the community is teens without jobs and strapped for cash college students, but I would ask people who are willing to give money to charity to donate any amount they can. Any amount would help. Here are some charities I think would be great to give to: America: 1. Feeding America 2. The Wounded Warriors Project 3. United Way America International: 1. Malaria Consortium 2. Direct Relief 3. MAP International Also, if this does happen, I will gladly pledge $100 to the cause.
  12. Congrats to everyone! Hope to only see good things to come. Thank you Liam for all the work you have done and will continue to do for the community.

  14. I understand this was discussed recently here and here, BUT seeing THIS today kind of gave me an idea of a possible solution to the problem. I could be totally wrong here, and feel free to flame me if I am, but here's how I think a rule regarding this recurring issue should go: "If a T is gunplanted via the death of a teammate and immediately drops the primary without shooting it, they are NOT KOS. A CT killing someone because of this is considered freekilling. Please let me know what you think about this, and if and how it could be tweaked to be better, or seen as the permanent solution.
  15. Who's our designated sweater for this? Who's getting every hole in one?
  16. So recently the time was changed that Ts were unmuted from 4:00 to 4:30 and this creates the problem of there are times that the Ts are all unmuted before the CTs are unmuted. Could we possibly change it so that instead of the Ts being unmuted at a static, set-in-place time, they're unmuted either 10 or 15 seconds after !fo ends? It just doesn't make much sense to me that all the Ts can be unmuted before all the CTs are. edit: If no one was to take !fo, it still would be 4:30
  17. damn u really got your ankles broke, who did you dirty? I have never broken a bone, but I have dislocated my left knee 4 times.
  18. - All CTs always has and always should be able to KOS and "pardon" (even though literally no one honours the pardons). If only one person could call KOS, it would lead to openings for even more Ts to rebel. It's also kind of unspoken at this point if Ts do certain things, they are KOS. - We've discussed the possibilities of special days in the past, and usually, it gets shot down. Here is an example. We HAVE done events involving special days. Same with wardens-- the idea of implementing a warden has been discussed many times and the furthest we've gotten towards one is !fo. - I don't see a point of forced CT swapping when most people switch on their own and admins will forcefully move the most recent one to unbalance ratio, or the server will press people to fix ratio. ----------------------------------- - I know I said earlier I wouldn't mind changing to test out a warden system just to see how the change would impact the server, but I'm more indifferent than anything. I've seen the same system that's attracted players for years on end. I don't really care for a warden system, but if it seems to benefit the server, there's nothing wrong with the change.
  19. I agree with this. @tiny quail This is how we already do our "warden" system now with !fo, except if you do !fo, you need to wait for two rounds. If we were to implement a warden system, I feel like it would be fairly useless except for times where the server is popping. If the warden plugin was enacted when there were 20+ players on the server, it would be pretty okay just for the sake of crowd control and clarity of orders. I know plenty of times when someone tries to give an order just for another CT to talk over them and change the order completely, and it can be super annoying. BUT, I believe to make this successful, there need to be restrictions on warden such as: you may only use it once every few rounds, exactly like !fo; to be able to be a warden, you need ___ amount of hours on the server*; and if the warden is killed after ____ seconds into the round*, there can't be a new warden. Also, if in my system of 20+ = warden, then having 12-19 players online would still allow for !fo to be used. I like to think of it as a progressive system. *= The times for these would need to be discussed further, as finding the right balance for both could be tricky, and require some testing in the case of how late in the round can a new warden be chosen. To elaborate, I feel like the prisoners should get the incentive of killing the warden gives the reward of the ensuing chaos with CTs scrambling to try and control the Ts. I personally don't have a problem with this system because change is needed for the CT side to help nullify at least some of the chaos that is CT side. The main drawback I could even potentially see from this is that some people may be upset about this to the point of not joining again, but the number who do that is probably not substantial enough to cause the server to lose much pop. Overall (TLDR): This could be a good system with the right restrictions and balances, and could hopefully cause the server to be hopefully a little tamer.
  20. Nba Team Tier List

I keep up a lot with the NBA as well, I just made my S tier the teams I think will make the conference finals. I think Brooklyn is a big wild card because either they will pop off and rape the east or they'll lack the chemistry that drove them to the playoffs last year (besides the extremely top sided east) and flop and be a low seed playoff team.

  22. I watched many many shows as a kid but these three were the ones I probably watched at most ad nauseam 1. [video=youtube;szKZ0keja-g] also, uncle iroh >>>> any other character, change my mind 2. 3. drake.... where's the door hole?
  23. You can nominate any map you want, but if it's not one of the top 6 played, chances are you won't get more than like 2 votes. I agree to an extent because it's pretty dumb to be able to go from ba_jail_electric_razor_go to ba_jail_electric_revamp_f2 which is literally a reskin of the first except for the addition of the Deagle room and the Glock secret (not really a secret) in pool. That can get boring quickly for a lot of people, but at this point people just kinda vote for the maps they know because why bother learning a new map when you can just go for the easy rebel or easy camp? If we're gonna be on the topic of repeating maps it is fair to mention how there are two spy vs spy and lego maps. They're less played but still extremely similar to each other.
  24. As ZZL said, it's near impossible to RTV an electric map, and if you do get a rtv, it's just for another electric map.
