  1. But this essentially serves the same purpose as the plugin you mention, but it just prevents the ratio from becoming bad in the first place.
  2. Psalm 127:3 - "Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him." Creation of a being should not be tampered with. The only way I see this being acceptable in any case is if it were to save the child's life and improve their longevity. Giving a child preferable traits is playing God and is immoral.
  3. Small note, you also need 10 forum posts and a month on the forums (for you, September 21st) before applying for admin. Keep that in mind.
  4. Congrats to everyone! Very proud of everyone and can't wait for the good times to roll. Very well deserved, everyone.

  6. You realize Disney actually made the Anaheim Ducks and their original name was the "Mighty Ducks of Anaheim"? It can't be a shitty version if it's literally the original version...
  7. I'm unsure of the possibility of this but an idea I thought of as I sit here in a dining hall is maybe we can do something like this: Situation- There's 1:30 left in the round and there's 5 alive: three innocents, one detective, and one traitor. Nothing happens for 30 seconds because two of the innocents are hiding in a corner with each other and the detective and last innocent are running around the map looking for un-ids to get DNA off of. At this point, an active radar is turned on, revealing a white ring around players every 5 seconds, whether they are moving or still. With this, the traitor is able to find the two hiding innocents and kill them both without the detective knowing, but three seconds later the detective sees that two rings are missing and heads in that direction, leading him to find the bodies, getting DNA and killing the T. This system would not only speed up rounds but if we were able to have a way of determining a player's location while immobile, this could lead to the radar also being fixed for the server. Ideally, this could be a two birds, one stone sort of thing. To clarify: - Active radar for all players enabled at 1:00 (subject to change) remaining in the round - A white ring around all living players The only issue I could see arising from this is potentially the active radar and DNA rings conflicting each other and causing one not to appear. EDIT: Maybe only show the active radar to innocents and detectives to prevent traitors getting a free radar?

  9. I'm unsure if this would be possible. If it would be possible, it would require even more work than this plugin already would need. It's far easier to have the ratio at a static amount and not something that could be flexible based off of round results. On top of that, most of the time, maps are 1:8 even with ratio more towards the favor of the CTs. Of the top 22 maps to ever be played on JB during the CS:GO era, MOST of them range between CTs winning between 20-30% of the rounds. The purpose of this plugin is to have the server be a tad more enjoyable when the admins aren't on so the ratio isn't near the region of 1:1, where the server becomes flat out unplayable. Reference: Also, thank you @fantastic for pushing this, hopefully, we can see it on the server soon
  10. If anyone is still interested- the events team discussed this and is still being reviewed.
  11. WHEN Saturday, September 14th @ 7PM WHERE Jailbreak IP: jb.steam-gamers.net:27017 MAP jb_vipinthemix_hdr_fix RUN BY Myself with help from @Manny and @Military_king. Here's how it's gonna go down: Staff will be on the CT side running things and participants will be on T side. Participants will be switched to CT when needed to face their opponent. If you choose to participate, please be orderly and do not try to rebel or grief to keep things running smoothly. Excessive trolling or griefing the event will lead to punishment. I will be keeping track of the participants, creating, and maintaining the bracket as we go. I will post the official standings once the event finishes. We will accept 48 participants this time to keep things simple, and no registration is required. Simply join the server to join the tournament. Good luck, and hope to see you there! While you are here you might as well join our steam group!
  12. @Spooked, I can understand where you're coming from on this, but as discussed in many threads before this idea of more time to even be able to play CT would drive players away. Whether people play weeks, days, or even a couple of hours on our servers, having a reasonable cap of 25 minutes gives people a reasonable incentive to play on the server and learn it a little, then going on CT and being able to contribute even more to the good times. Sorry if this comes off as a bit mean or bitter, but quite bluntly, having the time higher won't change a thing about the quality of the CTs. I started playing on this server when I was 13, and I racked up hours easy on JB. Just because I would have enough time to be on the CT team didn't make me any less toxic or immature than I was. There's always going to be toxic and immature people on the servers, and there always has been. @TheZZL explained it very well, and I'm just posting this more or less to give my 2c and maybe provide some closure to the thread. If anyone has further points to make, please do.

  17. I've been thinking this over the past couple of days, and after a little discussion with some, I think it may be good to present this idea. If we added a CT queue system, I like to think of it as a more advanced CT lock system (that we already have). Its purpose would be to lock people from joining CT if the ratio exceeded 1:2* and place players who wanted to join CT would click on CT in team selection and be placed in a queue. This allows for easier management of ratio both when admins are on and offline, but mainly for when admins aren't online. This also stops the "I joined first" bs on who's switching and not switching. *- Maps such as VIP and the electrics we may be a little more lenient and MAYBE start the queue after 2:3. When speaking with @fantastic about this idea, he said to take into mind the help it would bring, the harm it could cause, and if the effort put in would be worth the reward. SO, in my opinion I think these would be the pros, cons, and if the effort would be worth. Pros: - Easier ratio management, especially when admins are offline and players have to hope people are kind enough to switch - No more "I JOINED FIRST NO U SWITCH" bullshit - You can queue to join CT and if you're first you don't have to worry about someone else joining before you. Cons: - At its onset, the plugin developed, if it were developed, may be buggy and potentially cause issues with people joining CT or queueing until the plugin was ironed out. Effort vs. Reward: - This would be fairly time-consuming to develop, but I think potentially can be easier if we use the same principals of the CT lock plugin, but add the whole queue thing. As I am still a novice to sourcepawn, I'm not sure what this would entail. The reward would be moderate I believe, as this is nothing groundbreaking but would be pretty solid in terms of easiness of life on the JB server. - I can give an attempt at making this in my free time but it would take so much time with both my classes and my job. - (EDIT) As ZZL said, we could also look at what was done on the queue for retakes, and combine the concepts of the two and see what the product would be. Please leave thoughts and further suggestions. Cheers.

  19. Never really met you or talked to you much, but thank you for all the work you did on scrim. The results have shown and hopefully, you've put the foundation for a continually successful scrim server. Best of luck on your real-life ventures dude.
  20. o7 study hard, hope to see you around soon
  21. If I may add my 2 cents, I think this could be an excellent idea for events such as admins vs regs, protect the president, juggernaut, etc. but ONLY for events. This would be a handy tool to help whoever was allowed to use the command help run the event smoothly.
