If there was the ability to password protect channels, type in a channels "chat", and generally moderate it (kick people, change title/password, promote people) I would use Discord. There is also the fact that a lot of the people I hang out with type in chat only, so even if I were to use it would make talking to them very weird being that A. Channels don't have a chat attached as TeamSpeak does and B. Discord logs all chats. Most of the time I'm on TeamSpeak I'm sitting in a private channel with friends to avoid getting bombarded with people. If we want to get the full use of Discord we need to make sure we add it to the servers in a chat announcement, host community meetings there etc.. Discord wasn't for the people on TeamSpeak as much as it was for reaching out to our community who mainly just plays the server and doesn't even read the forums. It's a good opportunity to pull those people in and get them more involved. It does slightly confuse me why large groups of people sit in public channels on TeamSpeak still though, cause in that regard there isn't a big difference.

@Nimmy stepped down recently, I don't know if he did this by editing the plugin or some kind of stripper config. I think this is something that should be done, @shoiep is riding solo on PB right now so any and all decisions come down to him. I've seen isolated situations here or there that would definitely build a strong case to give Prisoners head armor during S4S but don't think its really a super important thing to get done. This would require a TA to take a look at the plugin likely, and being that Prisoners never even had body armor before the plugin was introduced months ago it's not really a massive deal (especially since most LR's use Deagles). Gonna tag @Liam Brown to see if he wants to take a look at Hosties for this.

Getting on top of cells might not be KOS, but the invisible ladders, teleports, vents etc.. to get up on top are. Review the rules like I said if you want the full statement of what is considered rebelling and what isn't. A lot of inaccuracies are being stated in this thread such as that it doesn't state that breaking out of your cell is KOS and that the secret in Isolation wasn't KOS before the rule change. Be careful what you listen to and always refer to the rules.

Honestly just read through the full list of rules and faq on the forums, you wont have to rely on anyone giving you false information that way. Doing that every so often and paying attention to the forums will help you.

If you climb a invisible ladder to get to the top of cells or use some kind of secret- it is KOS. There is no "master list". Someone can get boosted to the top of cells without the invisible ladder so that doesn't necessarily mean you can just kill someone for being up there.

I think both games are great for different reasons but Bluehole seems to fuck things up way more than Epic Games has so far in terms of development. I encourage everyone to give both games a chance, especially Fornite since it's free. I really thought it was going to be a bad game but I was so fucking wrong lol. Have had a blast playing it.

I just wanna say it's super impressive with how far you've come from SA to AO. You've really matured and progressed more than I've seen people ever do at any community- let alone just SG. The amount of work and effort you've put into this community is crazy from start to finish. I've really enjoyed working on Prison Break with you and I'm really sad to see you & @delirium gone from the server. The amount of dumbass arguements we've all had about arbitrary shit is insane, and they've all been equally hilarious. We used to make fun of you cause of the whole critical thinking thing, but at the ass end of that you've improved beyond what I ever would of thought. I never thought you & I would ever be as good of friends as we are and I really hope you stick around the community.

I see fall damage get so many clueless people killed on a lot of maps, but I can see the argument that certain maps are made harder by it as it is used as a mechanic. Probably bad decision by said mappers to make it a mechanic IMO as it's annoying as fuck.

Recently we added a plugin that works in conjunction with SourceBans that handles these type of bans. Unless he gets banned at your house or you get banned at his it doesn't make much of a difference. You are correct in saying that there is situations where people can get banned for not breaking our rules, only because they have the same IP as someone who did. When someone appeals a ban like that there is a lot of tiny factors other just the IP matching that determines whether they're unbanned, and with how rare it is I don't see it as a big issue. This plugin we're using for all intents and purposes is new. We were using an old version of it and a very old version of SourceBans that was leading to delayed bans, or just letting people slip right through. This plugin is pretty instantaneous if you've seen it work, definitely isn't like the old one in that regard.

Point of the thread is that you can't gift reoccurring subscriptions (getting charged every month to give someone else subscriber/vip), you can gift as many one-time donations as you'd like to. One-time Donations basically just take whatever amount of money you donated, whatever you want for it (VIP, Subscriber) and divides it into how many possible months there is. If you wanted to give someone 2 months of VIP you'd just check that you want VIP, that you're donating for someone else, enter their SteamID, and donate $20. You don't have to make separate donation for each month and it does not need to be done separately- use the form I linked.

I actually suggested this exact thing a few months back. Stuck command can do more than get people unstuck though, it can make people get stuck. On some maps it might help immensely while on others make people have to type !stuck when they weren't even gonna be stuck in the first place. I'm not completely against it but binding it is a much safer option in my opinion, many people above have posted the bind for you above.

Hello friends! Recently there has been a virus link going around Steam that will steal your account information, log in and send the link to your other friends. A few players at Steam-Gamers have been sent this link, luckily most have not fallen for it. To avoid this spreading across the community please beware of good friends of yours sending you suspicious links, enable Steam Guard and if you've clicked ANYTHING- change your information across all platforms as soon as possible. It would also probably be a good idea to run a full wipe on your computer and pretty much factory reset if AV isn't catching it. I'm not sure whether we're going to be dealing out punishments to players as it looks like many have fallen victim, completely unbeknownst to them, but to the best of your ability try to keep all of these links off our platforms. Most of the room games are because the Vive and Rift have sensors that track your movements. I don't think the Gear with your Phone would do the same, though I could be wrong.

@Raphi any chance you could remove or make the part with the forest smaller, and remove some of the sections on the outskirts? EDIT: Messaged him through Steam. He told me he doesn't have the vmf anymore but he's ok with us doing a decompile & editing it- the only thing that should need fixing is the ladders.

I think this map would be a lot better if it was slightly smaller, we have maps that are just as big in dimensions but because of all the corridors it really does drag out round times. Not entirely for it's complete removal, but I see where the OP is coming from.

It's been suggested a bunch, usually doesn't get made by the people whom suggest it but I believe @Prez set up the last one up almost a year ago. Probably best to do this Saturday or Sunday at a late time such as 5PM-8PM, don't really think a poll is completely necessary. Personally I couldn't ever really stand these for more than 20 minutes before leaving to peace and quiet.
