I agree with this part in completion. It encourages many people to RDM when there are no admins, kill people who are barely/arguably not even baiting, and overall serves no positive purpose. Speaking for the Karma system I think it has to stay no matter what at this point, even when we push the new update we're going to need it still as it's pretty popular among our players. Taking a look at everything else. You definitely have some good, creative ideas here. Good thread.

You can do custom LR's using the plugin, yes. You can set whatever parameters as long at the CT agrees to it beforehand.

There is little to no room for error in making it so below 500 karma (just throwing out a number) = a small ban. At a certain point whether or not someone doesn't know how to play, it's their fault anyway.

Reason I did it is cause Caution said that, and I'd like for there to be atleast some stats showing the other end of the stick besides the forums. If we were gonna take stats for before on the forums I didn't understand why not to take stats on the servers before aswell. I wasn't saying you guys wouldn't of done it, I just went out of my way to do it cause that's literally my rank and that's all that had been discussed before my post. That logic does not pan out at all. Discord is more popular, people have more accounts and downloaded clients than our active forum members without a doubt in my mind (you don't even have to make an account). You don't even have to download Discord, you can simply click a link and pop in.

I really don't see the accuracy of a poll on the forums asking about something like this which we are trying to add to encourage our server regulars to get on a voice server, and increase interaction. Especially if we're looking to pick one over the other. I went out to try to see what players thought, and it's pretty much the same as my experiences have always been. I understand the vote alone isn't going to be used to do it, but I think looking at only a forum poll without looking at the servers is missing a large piece of data. Worth asking again with more/different people on. UPDATE ON PB, did it again 30 minutes later and actually screenshotted the end of the vote with the #2 voted option on there. PB again. TTT, should ask again with more/different people on. TTT, again. ZE, should ask again with more/different people on. MG, should ask again with more/different people on. I'm not trying to say that these votes alone constitute reason to do it, what I am however saying is that if we are just going to take opinion from people on our forums it's not going to cover all the reason behind making the change. We would be making the change not only because a bunch of people would like us to have a Discord, but because it would encourage growth within the community from players who aren't going to see posts like this at all.

I don't see the issue with that at all, TeamSpeak would be more secondary- Discord would have more of our current, active community regulars so it would be more primary.

Using Discord will turn away old-comers. Using TeamSpeak will turn away newcomers. Choosing between one or the other (not having both) in this situation to me, does not make sense.

1 warning shot (1-99 damage with a gun, knife, nade) is required before a CT can kill you. Generally giving atleast a couple seconds for a T to follow an order is reasonable enough to administer a warning shot and/or kill them after.

Delaying is taking longer to get there than normal. If someone can get there faster through a different route it wouldn't be delaying. Usually CTs don't have the issue due to restricting 2nd floor, tictactoe. I wouldn't be able to tell you if said person was delaying without knowing where they were, it really all depends.

Tech N9ne has put out some really awesome shit (especially with Krizz Kaliko), and to add Krizz Kaliko himself has some awesome shit he's put out himself. If you haven't already, give their music a chance- it's really good. Surprises me a lot of younger kids unironically like the new age retarded shit but don't know who Tech N9ne is. I don't like judging rappers off a year interval cause some can tour for super long but over the past 1-2 years they've released some awesome music. Love this one. Generally the fault comes down to A. The CT for telling the Ts to go there. (unreasonable order) B. The CT or T who activates it, killing people. (forced deathgame, teamkilling, freekilling) Even if you're watching the button just as a general rule of thumb, I would avoid sending them there. If something happens it's going to fall on you, and whoever else who fucked up.

I think it falls under the reasonable orders rule to send prisoners into a deathgame, in all likelihood it's going to get started and people are going to get freekilled/teamkilled for no reason.

There's a pretty big difference between people dying from misc. things such as falling and your only certain path to living being KOSable (the vent) while you're playing a literal deathgame. There is nothing saying a CT who's doing the deathgame can enforce who dies or not, and I honestly hope we never do that as it's going to make it harder for CTs. Even if someone is kill whoring it at the end of the day, what harm are they doing, it also perplexes me why in a situation like this people are bothered enough to make this thread. I would completely understand Snootch's logic if it was someone actually freekilling or breaking rules in order to get kills, but to call this breaking rules/mass freekilling is so petty and ridiculous.

I'm not entirely sure if Stripper can be used to block the vent- even if we could use it to block the vent it wouldn't make full sense to do so. If it's decided people can die once they fall in the water, it doesn't necessarily mean people are going to be positioned to kill them, know that they are allowed, nor does it mean that if they are in position they will be able to hit the shots. Just a comparison but just cause armory is considered KOS we aren't going to make it so Prisoners can't physically enter it. Relating to deathgames, I don't think we have one currently, only one that states that deathgames cannot be forced. I don't know if any kind of detail into what deathgames are would clear this situation up, I think it's pretty obvious what happens if you lose in a "death"game.

The notion that we should make everyone redownload a map to fix a problem that doesn't even exist, and if it does- is extremely small is pretty silly. The other suggestion that we shouldn't allow it to keep the server fresh I think is reverse logic. On a server where playing CT is already harder than every/any other server I don't understand at all why we would allow that kind of restriction. I said it above, but I completely agree with Jake in that I think it's a really petty, overthought thing to get worked up over, even with the percentage of perceived people "kill whoring" with it- they're not doing anything logically wrong.

What? Dominic didn't say that cause they "potentially rebel", he said it cause they are either killed by the water or can go through the vent which is by the rules automatically KOS. I kill if people fall in the water the same way cause I've had many times people drop into the vent before I can get an angle & kill them. This thread is ridiculous and does not make an ounce of sense.
