  1. If only Rust was fun
  2. Just bought it all, thanks!
  3. Have you looked into a Microsoft Surface yet? That would be my first suggestion. Super light and portable with the power of a great laptop. If the cost of a Pro 4 is too much, you could find used Surface 2 or 3s that will probably still give you what you need in terms of performance.
  4. Yeah, I'm just going to remove the knife. It causes too much trouble. Expect an update... eventually.
  5. Most components in a laptop cannot be replaced, either because of the way the laptop is built (e.g. parts are soldered on) or because individual parts are hard to come by/very pricey. MAYBE you could upgrade the RAM, but it's totally dependent on the laptop itself. A quick google search with the model of your laptop should give you results.
  6. New Laptop

@Lagging Dildo play the new Doom if you haven't yet.
  7. Quick giveaway

    21 thanks!
  8. A third person view is objectiely a competitive advantage versus first person viewers. Part of the strategy and fun of first person shooters is having to check that corner and the risk involved with it. This is why most games are either one or the other, or have separate modes just like in mw2. The one exception I can think of is DayZ, but even there they have special servers just for first person since a lot of people think it's better as first person only. Personally I don't see any good coming from adding third person. It would shift the game balance and could potential screw up map balance. It would force people to use third person in order to compete and I think it would just encourage slower and safer gameplay. Also this isn't taking into account the fact that CS:GO was not designed as a third person game and there are all sorts of changes CS:GO would have to make in order to keep the same quality of movement and aiming that we are use to in first person. It's not enough to just change the camera position and call it a day, third person games take a lot more into account. If all you want is to see what your character looks like with your custom stuff on, I think the better approach would be to have a plugin similar to the way we can view individual items in game but for your whole character.
  9. I really want to try this mod when I get back from the holidays and have my real computer. Would love to see an SG server with it.
  10. CS_Office for TTT

I've actually been thinking for a while now which Valve maps would do well as ttt maps. As Leon and Nuclear said, it's a pretty easy process as all you really need to do is add weapons and adjust spawns a bit. There could even be the potential to add on to the map, but that might be overdoing it. I've also been looking at recreations of popular maps from other games that could fit, like some older Call of Duty maps. I could take this on if no one else wants to. I'd also like thoughts on other maps that might work as ttt ports.
  11. Medium or medium-well.
  12. @Cam @Four do you guys remember the Javelin explosion glitch? It was pretty soon after the 1887s patch. Everyone would just run around with javelins and whenever someone would die from an unsuspecting victim they would kamakaze explode. Such a broken but fun as hell game.
  13. I really want to play MW2 now. Too many hours on that game.
  14. The translocator from Unreal Tournament A mobile teleportation device that can also kill your opponents by literally exploding you out of their body. Brutal.
  15. Have you tried tempura sushi? It's basically the same but they actually cook it. I use to hate sushi until I was forced to try some tempura shrimp and I fell in love.
  16. Those are some red flags if I've ever seen them. Not that you really have a lot of choices for a first job, but yeah I'd definitely look elsewhere. I know I mentioned it in another thread but I highly suggest working at Staples as a first job. You can be an Easy Tech Associate selling computers and other technology to people. You make over minimum wage plus commission from your sales. A bit more variety in your work then fast food since you get I talk to people. Plus Staples was such an easy job when I worked there way back when.
  17. It was yesterday on Cache, probably around 9pm EST. How long do you guys keep matches stored? If anyone recalls any nice plays and remembers the match I could make one big highlight reel.
  18. I've used all the online resources I could find that bring up recommendations like Spotify, Reddit, and Last.fm, but nothing quite does it for me like Tame Impala. Just looking for some other Tame Impala lovers out there to let me know what else you enjoy. Here is one of their best songs IMO:
  19. I'll eat just about anything from blood sausage to chicken nuggets... but if you expect me to eat chocolate I'll shove it in your face (you're welcome btw). I do not understand the world's obsession with chocolate, the one exception being hot chocolate which is very good.
  20. @Goku @Frosty so apparently in order to switch between different people you need a GOTV demo (some people call it replay I guess) which is server controlled. If you go through matchmaking it automatically does it and you can retrieve it. However, for SG's scrim server I think it would need to be enabled if it already isn't. So now I'll ask, can this be enabled if hasn't been already and can the demos be released to the community? @Black Rain @Vick I think it would be nice for the community and could promote scrim some more.
  21. That just brings up the playback module. Tried with it on and off, still nothing.
  22. Tried a bunch of commands, including spec_allow_roaming 1. Did nothing. From what I've gathered online there seems to be demos, which is only from one player's POV, and then replays which records everyone. I could be wrong though, it was tough to find information on this. Maybe I'm just missing something.
  23. So I thought it would be nice to record a demo of the scrim game I was in yesterday and post the highlights of the game, maybe make that a regular thing if people liked it. However, I'm just realizing now that a demo is literally just from the recorder's point of view, so I can't switch between different players to get their kills from their point of view. Does anyone know how to record so that I'm able to go back and view from anyone's POV?
  24. Uploading Ideas.

Try narrowing it down to the area you want to cover. I'm assuming gaming, so from there just keep narrowing down and try to identify something that you believe you would be good at and also has potential to stand out from the crowd. For example, as much fun as Let's Plays are, YouTube is WAAAY too saturated with that and it would be near impossible to attract an audience with all the completion you have. It's tough, but you're going to need to find something that makes you stand out... think about all the big YouTubers and what makes them popular. Possibly the most important thing if you're going for any kind of 'commentary' channel is establishing a persona that people enjoy watching; you want people to know its your video just by the feel of it. Think about someone like Dunkey, you immediately know a Dunkey video when you see or even just hear it because of his voice and his style of humor.
  25. Great map, @Paralyzed One suggestion: please clip the stairs! Very annoying to see your view bouncing so much when going up stairs. You don't seem to have any spiral stairs so it should be easy. A lot of user-made maps ignore this unfortuantely. I will say that the map seems very very big on first few plays and it's near impossible to find the stairs to go up. I also don't like the invisible wall in front of the main stairs, at least put some props or some kind of visible barrier to give a reason why we can't go up, like maybe it's under construction?
