  1. As @Thomson said, it's a problem that happens when you're in fullscreen. I've had this happen to me on various different games, but some games don't have the problem for whatever reason. Easiest solution is just use Steam's screenshot thing, also it stores it locally on your computer and it's easy to get to.
  2. Event Calendar

Great idea. I don't see a reason why this shouldn't be implemented.
  3. Wow, glad you're ok man and that you got most of your stuff back. Hopefully the rest of your holiday is nice. Stay safe everyone.
  4. Another thing to consider is that wether we like it or not, Microsoft is trying very hard to get people to switch to Windows 10. This is evident from their free Windows 10 upgrade program and the lack of support for Microsoft PC games on anything other then Windows 10. I also recall the newest Direct X will only be for Windows 10? Maybe? Either way, Windows 10 is inevitably the future, especially for gaming.
  5. I actually have F.E.A.R. 2 lol. I'll install it and let you know.
  6. I'll admit there are a lot of things you need to enable and disable in windows 10 to get some of the bullshit out of the way, but it's not too bad and once that's done it's in my opinion the best version of windows to date.
  7. Personally I run 10 and love it but from what I've read it's pretty hit or miss with some rigs. I haven't had a single problem with 10 and was pretty confused hearing all the backlash, but some people have trouble even booting up with it. It's weird. It's funny you should say that because I've had the exact opposite experience. As someone who plays a lot of older games I have found 10 to perform waaaaay better and have far less problems. There are actually some games I have that refuse to work on 7 but play like magic on 10.
  8. GPU Issue

How's the actual temperature in your case overall? Since your CPU is watercooled it may not be suffering as much as your GPU if there is another component causing the heat. Maybe your PSU? I'm just throwing wild guesses here.
  9. ttt_tumbleweed request

Lol dont feel bad, I'm an unemployed bum and this is all I do in my free time now
  10. Map Suggestion Full map name ttt_tumbleweed Type of map TTT Link to map download http://gamebanana.com/maps/192980 Additional Information I hope this second map of mine can received as much love as ttt_hoodrat. Please click the gamebanana link for screenshots, description, and list of features. Screenshots attached No
  11. In case the higher ups are actually thinking of doing a Christmas TTT mapping contest (which I think is awesome and would love to see some mapping contests), mapping contests should probably be announced at least a month in advanced otherwise we'll just see a bunch of rushed and probably poorly constructed maps that wouldn't do well in the map pool. A good map takes time.
  12. I remember from my gmod days there use to be certain TTT servers that would have mini 'events' that would happen whenever an admin or similar power wanted to have one. For example, the admin could make it so the next round would be a death match and players would be notified of such. Not sure if something like this could be implemented, but it could be a nice change of pace whenever a higher up on the server thinks people will enjoy such a thing for a round. We could have one of these events be R8's only or something like that.
  13. The incentive for being active and posting on the forums should be a community that people want to be active and engage with, not an award.
  14. Vape Thread

Only the good kind of vaping ;)
  15. If we were going to implement this I would suggest going a step further and doing what a lot of gmod servers do (if it's even possible in cs:go) which is once you die you spawn in as a 'ghost' like you said, but can opt in to join the other ghosts in a FFA death match until the round is over. This would be completely optional for those who would rather just spectate.
  16. Alright. So considering the things you already have taken care of, here is a list I made You didn't mention anything about OS so if you still need that this might bring you over budget. Some things to note here compared to the list you posted: Better GPU, better CPU, much much MUCH better PSU which is super super important and is often overlooked, near identical motherboards except the one i chose is cheaper and more versatile (can accept a wider array of RAM for future upgrading), however there are 2 less SATA 6 in it so if that matters to you then that's something to consider. If you're really set on getting an NVIDIA GPU then by all means, but for a few bucks more the RX 470 is much better then a 1050. I'm not an AMD fanboy either, in fact I'd much rather have NVIDIA, but when you're on a budget you have to make due with the best options available.
  17. Is this just going to be used for gaming? Are you trying to play at 1080p, 1440p, or ultrawide? How important is overclocking to you? Do you already have an OS? Any peripherals you need like keyboard, or non-essential parts you'd like to have such as an optical drive? Any parts you can salvage from another machine?
  18. @Elemental 5/10 @Four 90's CGI 3/10 I'm tough to please
  19. Looks more like a highlight reel then anything else. Fine for a first, but id say frag movies tend to incorporate more editing techniques and in some cases visual changes. Seems like you just layered in some music under clips. Some nice frags but if you're trying to make a true frag movie id say you need to watch some other frag movies and really pay attention to how they amplify the action in the clips.
  20. 1050 Thoughts?

GTX 1080 Master Race For real though, I'm sure as a budget card it will be great especially at 1080p. Don't expect anything more then that though.
  21. Would love to see more mapping support on here! As much as I love hoodrat, I think I could have done a much better job/i'm trying to find ways to improve it. Some kind of competition or even just a theme for mappers to work towards could be cool. That being said, I think it might be tough to motivate non-mappers or people who don't really have an interest in mapping to start. It's not like minecraft or the old forge mode in Halo 3, the Hammer editor is a fickle and scary beast to new users. If you're not already at least a little bit interested in this sort of thing, it's tough to just jump into. Before working with Hammer I spent a good chunk of my childhood player Unreal Tournament and mapping in that game. None of those maps were even close to good, but it's something I was naturally drawn towards and find enjoyable. I don't think most people would find the process fun.
  22. Don't lie, you had fun hiding there too.
  23. I hate to keep harping on this point but then why do we have a Rust server? Hell, you could even say the same thing about the 1v1 server; no one goes on except with groups of friends at a time. Fair enough, that's an answer I haven't heard yet.
  24. Sorry about the repetitive post, didn't see the other one. I understand that this might be a temporary influx of players, but please pose a counter argument to the fact that 1. Prop Hunt is a PROVEN game mode with years of success. 2. If the issue is we don't want dead servers, why do we have a Rust server? I really think we could replace that with Prop Hunt. I'm not just saying we should have a Prop Hunt server because the event is fun, I'm saying that Prop Hunt has always been a popular game mode that we know people have enjoyed for years.
  25. How is it a fad though if Prop Hunt has been a popular game mode for years from Gmod and TF2? I could understand if it was a new game mode but Prop Hunt has been around for a long time and it's always been popular. And, i'll say again... if population is the issue, why do we have a Rust server?
