When I was in school I kept trying to trying to stay away from VScode because it was ugly and bloated but eventually came back to it as every other IDE was equally retarded in some other way. I had a professor show me emacs, which he's sworn by for years but I never got into it due to the learning curve. It's been a while since I've done any serious amount of coding but I'll probably force myself to use emacs when I get back around to it.

I'd rather see the server switch to 1 megamap, hells-gamers style. At this point you'd be throwing out the servers entire identity for as long as it's been around and starting from scratch with no population to help guide you. Would literally just be any other JB server unless you guys have some grand idea of how you would differentiate yourselves.

On CS, a lot of people did end up taking the ladders or water down but maybe an easier and more efficient way up would make the map more bearable

Current system - whoever is most popular to Caution Proposed new system - whoever is most popular to players (has to be active and make frequent and somewhat intelligent posts) All of these people have to be heavily vetted to make it to BD in the first place, it's just a matter of who will have final say and be leading work and decisions in Caution's absence. In all honesty, Caution owns the community and has final say anyways, it would literally just be an excuse to switch up seats and give the community a sense that they're helping hold the reins and being led by someone more in tune with their activity and interests. Maybe that it is just what the community needs at a time like this though.

I've been thinking this since highschool, every teacher, parent and adult figure in your life is constantly pounding into your head that you need to spend the price of a house on going to school. That's money that could easily kickstart 10 businesses. If the government spent half the money they spend on sending kids to school on small business grants, the economy would be crazy. I don't think this is the right move for us to see any form of real change. The message it sends is that the economy did an oopsie in the wake of a global pandemic and big important war and the government man is here to help you out of your unforseen hole. The government needs to pull every penny out of schools. We need a generation of people that understand that they have been dumped and are going to be honest with themselves and the generations below them that they have been scammed. Schools need to face a mass exodus of sorts to introduce real competition into the market, driving prices down and garnering the involvement of larger corporations who could potentially face a shortage of workers. Unlike Uncle Sam, businesses will absolutely not put up with their money being wasted where it doesn't belong or educations not being worthwhile if they could just pluck 18 year olds out of highschool and get them trained in a year to do precisely what they need.
