Hey guys, you may or may not have noticed that my activity dropped significantly in the last week, and I want to explain why. Between school starting again and the limited time I have due to scheduling and homework, the only game I’ve really been able to play has been Rainbow Six Siege. I recently reacquired my account for Ubisoft, meaning that I can play the game again. I’ve been trying to improve for a while now, but because of my limited time, CSGO and basically every other game I was playing has dropped out of the picture. I’ll probably be back sometime soon, but I just wanted to update you guys on my situation. Cheers!

@Janseen I said it was a joke, but I know that there was probably some truth to it. But is that really all the proofs as to why Rust is the most toxic? I’ve seen videos of good communities formed in the game before, so it’s not really a cesspool of cancer.

After seeing a lot of you guys comment rust, can I get someone to give some examples why? I know that someone made some jokes about racist 8 year olds going in a 20-man to spam the n-word at your house, but let’s get some legitimate reasons. Compared to all the other games, what makes you guys think that Rust is so toxic?

@kuriI used to play Modern Warfare 2 on my Xbox 360 when I was still in single digits age, but considering that I have no lasting brain damage or tumor cells, I’m gonna’ have to disagree with CoD being the most toxic, it’s more like CoD is just associated with toxicity. I’m not denying that the community is really toxic, but seriously, have any of you guys ever played Dead By Daylight? Shit puts hair on your chest if you think Rust is toxic.

The title says it all. Post your thoughts on what game you think has the most overall toxic community, with reasoning provided as to why you think so. Personally, I think the most toxic game out there is Dead By Daylight. You can get flamed simply for just playing the game well, or playing as a character that your opponents don’t like. The fact that the game is asymmetrical and also has extremely broken add-on options to your abilities doesn’t help either. Because of how unbalanced the game is, getting teabagged when you’re just trying to have a good time but get destroyed is one if the most triggering things known to man. Just by playing this game, I’ve developed immunity to toxicity in other games, because nothing else compares to how easily abused most of the stuff in this game is for a easy match.

Took me a while to complete and finally flesh out the concept but here it is! My story about a classic zombie outbreak but with a theme derived directly from the SCP Foundation. Thank god they encourage community spinoff creation otherwise I’d have to make a much worse story. Emmitt, from the few times I’ve played with you, you’re a good kid, but like many other kids, you take the game way too seriously, not to mention that it’s TTT. The last time I played with you, you went on a rant after somebody killed you where you claimed that you kept on getting RDM and spouted your hate. You have to put a tamper on your emotions, otherwise you’re easy bait for people who find it funny to antagonize children. That being said, I want to reiterate, you’re not a bad kid. The reason why you are often “targeted” is because you yourself are making it very easy to get you angry. Hence, you get bullied. Take a look at Che, he’s a kid as well but is decently liked by the community and doesn’t get mad. Plus, you also have to accept that if you get RDMed, you probably have done the same thing to other people before and have also not been punished. Or, you may be misconstruing what is RDM and your emotions are causing you to view any kill on you not done by a T as a rule-breaking. Just calm down when you play, and remember that the purpose of games is to have fun, and if you're not having fun, take some time away from the computer to relax.

@idealistI do empathize with them, in fact, I dread imagining that one admin in a server of 20+ people. Why else do you think I’m not eager for the job? Anyways, I’ve already said, I don’t think the issue is not enough admins, it’s just that some stuff has to be changed, referring to the original text.

@AsunaI’d appreciate it if you could cut me some slack as it is very hard to convey tone with text. When I told others to read replies from above, it was never meant to be insulting or arrogant, it was because I was answering to the same topics a lot, and it was getting very tiring to type. As for me saying, “It’s not my problem,” in response to the server crashes, it was very rash and stupid for me to type that, considering the way that lot of people are now construing it as. What I meant to say was that I didn’t see how it would help with the fix, as the bug report’s purpose is to make it known; and the server crashes, at least for TTT, is known by anyone who’s played for a good amount of time. Also, I said that the things I presented were opinions, I never said they were fact, and could be countered by others. Now, I see how the bug report does help, after being informed by multiple people. Plus, I also need you to understand that there are many difference between the TTT and the JB servers, and my original text really applies mostly to the TTT server, though I did try to stretch it as an overall topic. And though I get that you think that if I really cared, I should apply, but I think I could do better for the server by trying to just make some of these issues known. They’ve already got plenty of admins and I just don’t have much motivation to want to be one either. I’ve tried to my best to try and give a few solutions to the problems, like listed above. But anyways, I just want these issues to be acknowledged.

@idealistI get that that would be your response, that I should apply, but just by making this post I think I’ve burned that bridge. Besides, I feel like I can try and help the servers by making these issues, just, known, from a more consumer-sided perspective. Though if you disagree, I get why, but I just don’t think that admin is the right way to go. Besides, I don’t have a particular desire to be one either.

@RemixedPixelReading through your post I could see that you put a lot of time into trying to aggravate and insult me, but you also had some point. So, let’s be reasonable and discuss instead of calling me a, “pretentious cunt” and then insinuating that I am foaming at the mouth. Admittedly you have a point when you said that I insulted kuri. If you want to hear my side about it, it was a joke that was thrown around as the mood at the time on the server was very light. As I have never seen you on the TTT server, I expect that you think it is a toxic cesspool like JB where every word is an insult. If you played more, you would know that that was just the only time I have poked fun at kuri, and my interactions with other admins have all been nothing short of, at the very least, respectful. You then go on to suggest that I should be banned on the forums for admin disrespect. You say that I implied that multiple of the admins are bad; you’re right, I did. But what else do you expect when their actions, deleting months of chat-logs, is basically sinister, and for fun, nonetheless? I was even told that they received punishments by another administrator, so I definitely know that someone more important than you agrees. If you’d like, you could go and file a player complaint on me disrespecting the admins, I’d have a good laugh at that. Plus, it seems like you deliberately twisted what Steven said to me. Steven said that I had said that all admins are incapable of doing their job, and I corrected him and said only some. Again, you insult me by saying I haven’t read the whole thing, but here we are. On top of this, you ignored that I said that perma-bans have to be issued in order to outpace the rate at which new rdmers are created, and instead opted to portray me as an asshole who wants to perm everyone. I also suggested that it only be issued more laxly in situations of mass-rdm, but yet again, you skipped over this. While you are correct in saying that I offered few solutions, I explicitly have said in the original text and to many others in replies that I only wanted to address and make known the issues. But of course, I can’t not get a stick shoved up my ass by someone like you for something as small as that. Oh, and I have filed player complaints before. And I don’t have an issue with admin bullying. Next, you also propose that the admins ignore me and say, “It’s your problem” because you disagree with me, and instead of acting civilized like most others on this thread so far, you also go on to suggest that I am foaming at the mouth. Thanks. And then, you also say that I pointed a finger at Dominic and said that I have portrayed them as shitty people. Where in the fuck did I ever do that. I only used them as examples of how we don’t know the personalities of the people who get the job, but you seem to have taken this as a direct insult to yourself even when both Dominic and Zayne have been permed and BoM stated that Dominic is no longer the same person as he was. So I really don’t what to say to you, are you just feigning ignorance so you can continue your crusade against my opinions? @Mikey.Read the replies to everyone else above, you’re parroting what everyone else has already said, and I’ve already responded. If you want me to respond to the initial text, then divide it into readable paragraphs. If you can’t see something wrong with an admin calling me and another admin faggots then you need an attitude adjustment.

@TheZZLYou are correct in saying that I am an asshole for not reporting it. But the reason why is not only my laziness, which I think is reasonable, don’t judge, but pretty much also that everyone knows about it. There’s not a single admin that I can think of that frequents the TTT server that doesn’t know about it, so I don’t see how me filing a report would help when it’s already known: It’s just up to you guys to fix it. If you could tell me how filing a report on the bug would help, that’d be useful, but just look at large player count drops to find out when it crashes.

@fantasticGlad to hear that more wiggle room to be added, as the current limitations prevent admins from being...well, admins. Hope to see that crashing out of here soon, or later, doesn’t really matter to me, but good luck nonetheless. And I did message Wavy, but she didn’t care to respond, though she did read the messages. @fantasticAppreciate the feedback and from a BD member nonetheless! But I do have some things I want to say and try to correct. For example, the issue of using logs and popular opinion to punish I did address to multiple people above, but I’ll repeat it: both logs and popular opinion could be used to punish against mass-rdmers with virtually no margin for error, as it’s very difficult to explain killing five innocents as a detective (an example). Plus, if you guys could change the protocol so that it’s somewhat representative of the 2017 protocol, it could make it so that at least when admins are on, the server goes clean. I’m sorry if I sound like a cynical asshole here, but considering that the server crash issue has been persistent for three years, I hope you guys are going to put some elbow grease into this one, since the crashes are a real turnoff for many newer players, and with the F2P update, keeping them as regulars would be ideal, although maybe a bit outlandish. And trust me when I tell you that the screenshot I provided was not sarcastic. Combined with the fact that it’s Dead By Daylight, just about the most toxic game I know, and that she called Creten a faggot as well, I’ve got no doubts. Seriously, I could go on a rant about why DBD is the most toxic game to ever fucking exist. If you think CSGO is super toxic, DBD will boil your insides as the radiation of Chernobyl’s nuclear meltdown washes over your cells. It’s a fucking nuclear waste dump in that game, but I still love it. Anyways, thanks for the reception, and I hope that what you said about the changes is true.

@HawksFirstly, I want to say that I won't name anyone besides the blatantly obvious, like Dominic, but I’ve got no complaints with you either. If you thought that I was targeting you somehow when I said that I had problems with the admins, I ensure that it was a more generalized statement that didn’t have any specifications. Second, it’s not really all about just inexperience that I’m finding with some admins. It’s more the character and the fact that they got let in, in the first place. Maybe they acted differently when they were applying I don’t know, but it’s just something else that I feel supports my argument that the application process has to be tighter and actually need you to know the person, as in their personality, so they’re not an asshole in disguise. Thirdly, perhaps your community experiences are different when you’re on the server, but during the past two months that I’ve been back, the most depressing times playing has been when there’s no one to really chat with. You could have sixteen people on the server and feel just really depressed because no one wants to try and interact with each other. I don’t know, maybe I’m just being a little bitch, but I feel like the player interaction has dropped as fewer and fewer regulars are coming back. Fourthly, in response to your statements on the difficulty of catching rule-breakers in the act, having to follow protocol, and my inability to propose solutions, have a look at my most recent response to Toasty. I do believe that the protocol should be revised so that punishments can be issued faster, and permanent bans need to be issued to mass-rdmers in order to outpace the rate at which new rdmers come onto the server. Also, the implementation of using popular opinion and the logs against mass-rdmers would have virtually no margin of error and make it much easier to punish, as it’s pretty damn difficult to explain, say, murdering five innocents as a detective while the five who were killed scream, “RDM.” Fifthly, there’s not a whole lot that can be done about people using admin chat. I joined in 2017, so obviously I know to use it, but it’s more that newer players are never told about this feature. With the inflow of these newer players from the F2P update, this is the perfect time to capitalize and update the server for the better and create new regulars.
