I'm not talking about the police, I'm talking to Silent. What they did is pretty legit, buddy pulled something out and they shot as a reaction. Nothing is reliable. CNN and shit usually explodes stories, technically what they say isnt true either. Not to mention the government has control over whats aired and whats not. I'm sure if he murdered a bunch of people and was running around 2 years it would say something about it.

Indeed, I feel incredibly sorry for the dog as well. I'm guessing once they released the dog they thought he was drawing a gun so they fired, hoping not to hit the dog. He threatened to fire at the dog and the officers if they released it, so yeah. My best guess.

They released the dog, in response the guy throws the object so he can either protect himself, or just as a reflex. Officers fire as a reflex, thinking hes going to fire or whatever else.
