It's not so much that we hate it, I personally use it for some things, it's more that it hasn't really proven reliable. Unlike Teamspeak, you don't own your discord. You don't have logs, you don't have control over uptime, and you have less control over security. There's also unanswered questions that I'd rather not wait to find the answers to until it's too late. How good is the ddos protection? How decently can we recover our server if it is crashing due to ddos attempts? Why is Discord able to be free regardless of traffic or bandwidth? Is there a chance our server will be shut down if we have too much traffic/bandwidth usage? A lot of those questions I can tell you are no problem for TS3. We own it, we run it, and the security is much more mature. Discord is meant to be for you to group up with your buddies for a bit then dip out, it's not meant for long-running high population communities in my opinion. Mainly because you never own your server, Discord does.

Closing because this is just begging to start a massive argument.

The point of the tag is to cause confusion and for it to be similar to our Admin tag. You aren't a legitimate group, as you said it's just a joke. If it's just a joke why do you care if we ask you not to use it? Honestly the best proof I can provide to you that it causes confusion is because when I joined TTT last night and I glanced at the scoreboard, I asked myself if we ever had an Admin named "Toaster", then I realized your tag was GS instead of SG and instead wondered what group you're from, and realized you're part of nothing and the GS just stands for "GaySteamers" which is mocking the community. I get you are having a joke and you think it's funny, but the tag at a glance makes you look like one of our Admins. While you may not intentionally try to impersonate being an Admin, your actions on the servers could accidentally get inferred as the actions of an Admin because your tag is so similar. In the past we have had players who join our servers and they will tag up with [sG] and we ask them to remove it, that it's only for our Admins. If those individuals then changed their tag to [GS] and say, "It's not the same anymore!!!" I have never had an issue with Admins punishing them for being a smart ass. In my opinion, this should be taken across the board and your tag joke should end. If we say yeah it's okay, then more people will be encouraged to have very similar tags to our Admins, it's a slippery slope. If allowed, more people will tag up with just [GS] and we'll have a server filled with a bunch of [GS] and [sG] and it will be obnoxious for new players to sort out the Admins from the idiots having a laugh since they won't know the Admins by name.

Having icons above their heads will not help as much as you might think. Because, when you're in close proximity it will look like it's over someone else. The red circle emanates from their body which makes it better to identify T's. Ultimately, people should just learn to pay attention to the red circle. You can even see it through walls, there should be literally zero reason to accidentally kill another Traitor. I don't think I've accidentally team killed as a traitor more than like 5 times in my entire time playing.

While that's all in all a good thing, that people are willing to help out new players, it doesn't really apply to my issue with it. A guy looking just to play would be instantly familiar with the !guns system, not !zmarket. If he joins and can't figure out how to buy guns within the first minute or so, and one of you guys not willing to explain how !zmarket works is on, they will just leave.

In my opinion, this was a terrible idea. When I join our own ZE server and I'm tempted to leave because the gun system is so weird and complex, I can only imagine how regular players feel. The server has been dying out a lot and this isn't helping. If there's an ammo issue, we should switch to infinite ammo with reload and deal with it that way. This whole buying and saving loadouts along with the option to buy nades and it's based off how much money you have and shit, without the usual !guns command available makes it so weird to play ZE. When ZE is such a popular game mode, the first impressions are big and our first impression is, "Wait how do I buy guns?". Then the whole gun system is unfamiliar as fuck to someone who isn't a hard-core Zombie player who knows wtf Zmarket is. Where as PLENTY of people know what !guns is and how to use it. Even if the core systems are similar in how they work, it looks different, feels different, and therefore will be seen as different and weird.

Pretty sure it was the map that had the train you could start and "escape" on to win the round as innocents. However, the fog in this map is so bad that in some rooms you can't see to the other side of the room (and the rooms are small to begin with). Legit killed a traitor because he didn't realize I was in the same room as him because of the fog. Also the hallways are literally one person across, if you want to be a traitor on this map all you have to do is just follow someone till they go into one of the many super skinny hallways and mow them down, the map is too big for anyone to really tell where you are exactly even if they hear the shots, there's no KOS-able names to call any of the rooms which makes it even easier to be a traitor since people can't really be like "I'm in the room with the broken wall" when that's literally every room. There's maybe 1 or 2 readily identifiable rooms in the map, everything else is vague identical rooms. The issue with the map isn't so much how it looks as it is how it plays. It's incredibly traitor-stacked because of how easy it is to mow people down, get lost, and not be able to call for help when everything literally the same shit in each of the 50 tiny rooms. You're pretty much fucked trying to find traitors if they have any remote indication of how to be a traitor. The only reason rounds lasted longer than like 1 or 2 minutes was because we didn't have enough people to find anyone, with like 9 people the rounds were lasting the entire round time cause the map is so huge and confusing.

Random textures you can walk through, fog is a stupid aspect to put into any TTT map, and it's massive with tons of just really small rooms/corridors make it so Traitors should literally never lose. I'm aware it was added yesterday, but I'm making a post to remove it already because I can tell you right now it's aesthetically pleasing to look at, but shit-tier to play on.

Jailbreak is and always will be entirely dependent on who is on CT. There's CT's that will do as you say and just send Ts to one location they know has no teleporter/vent and other CTs that will have Ts play games or do lots of things in one round. From what I've experienced in other servers, they give CTs an excessive amount of power when it comes to killing Ts and that's why their CTs do tons of different stuff. In many, many JB servers warning shots are not a thing. The CT tells you to do something and has full power to instantly headshot you if you disobey. This makes for incredibly oppressive gameplay and while some might say that it means Ts have to be more cunning or skilled, it makes a majority the servers unfun to play. It's either that or the servers make CTs into pussies that can't do anything and just lose over and over, which is the same thing but reversed. I think our servers is a healthy balance, but unfortunately that means gameplay slacks a bit depending who is on. If there's a person on that is really good at being CT, you'll have more active orders. If someone isn't as confident, they won't let Ts go to anywhere that has a vent or a teleporter since they would be too worried about getting rebelled on and losing.

This thread made me realize how unorthodox the bold versus non-bold ranks are. I think we meant to represent only "higher up" ranks with bold. However we had HG and LG as bold as well. It honestly makes no sense. So all I did was change it so only Admin ranks are Bold + Subscribers. I don't personally mind it that much, however I understand it makes things look different. @Revenga Ideas for making the bold rank names make more sense?

First and foremost, our Admins are not at your beck and call. They are not paid, they all more or less volunteer to help the servers WHERE and WHEN they can. They are not required to put their lives on pause to go attend to the servers, nor do we expect them to. We have dozens of Admins and the fact you said Stunningjam came to help shows that even if some have reasons to not come, you can find one that will. I honestly do not like your tone towards our Admins as if they are your personal butlers that should come help you whenever you want, they aren't. They help keep the servers clean when they can and are not required to drop everything the second someone messages them. Some Admins have no problem stopping what they're doing to help, and most of our Admins are pretty good about responding to issues. I propose there's nothing wrong with our Admins, but rather the issue is with you. If you have this attitude towards them, I do not blame them for not showing up to help you when you call. You may want to readjust your attitude towards our Admins if you expect them to help you out when you call them in. I personally would not stop what I'm doing if the person messaging me believes it's my job to go help whenever they message me. That's the fastest way to get off my friends list. This thread is unnecessary and the only thing it accomplishes is show how ungrateful you are for our Admins. If they have a reason to not come, respect it and don't call it an excuse. Ask another Admin, post in the shout box, make a player complaint, do NOT make another thread bashing our Admins like this again. They are all volunteers and are in no way REQUIRED to come the second anyone messages them, nor be "on call" 24/7. They are only required to do their best to help when they CAN, not when you WANT them to.
