  1. That's a good idea, I'll talk to the EMs about adding this to the list of possible games to be streamed. If you want to stream it, don't hesitate to apply to stream this, because we need as many streamers as possible!
  2. I'm going to bump this and leave it here for a couple of days, just to get a bit more feel for possible interest in it. Please vote if you see this thread.
  3. those ruby and sapphire bowies though MMM
  4. I completely agree with what daft is saying here. A lot of people think that the CTs right now are terrible, and I'd have to agree with them. The best way to move forward in this situation is to offer an incentive for more people to play CT. This idea has been brought up many times, and I believe that the Jailbreak managers are looking into different ways to offer those incentives to players to make them want to play CT more. I play a shit ton of CT nowadays, and most of that is just because I have to switch because the ratio is crippling and it's like 4-17, where the CTs are dying before they can even open the cell gates. I've tried to think about different ways to make people want to play CT more, and to be honest I haven't thought of a single good one. There's the idea of creating a point system for CTs, which obviously wouldn't work because it would make them more kill-hungry. This is the same result for rewarding the CTs for running a tight ship, because then the chance of freedays would be minimal, along with increased bloodthirst. I still have no clue how to make more people want to play CT, but I am looking forward to what the Jailbreak managers will put forward. One thing that I did want to comment on is the "minimum time / experience required to play CT". This idea has been brought up and discussed many times, and I'm pretty sure the managers have decided that keeping T playtime at 30 minutes is good enough. However, I fully support making a minimum point requirement for Ts to join CT. Whether this be 10, 25, 50, or even 100, making a point requirement would force new players to play enough to learn the rules, and basically to learn how to rebel, killing CTs and gaining points. By having a point requirement, it almost guarantees that a new CT will at least have some experience as a T and know how to play the game.

  6. I did say what the format would be, it is 1v1. However, I will edit the post and highlight the more important information to make sure that everyone can see it. I hope you will attend if this does become an event.
  7. Thanks to @Asher for helping me set this all up and understand how to run it. There was recently a suggestion for a Pokémon Tournament, and I just want to see how many people would actually participate in an event like this. If you could, please vote Yes, Possibly, or No so I can get a feel of whether people will participate. Here's how it will work: Most likely, it will be 16 maximum participants (unless there are 24+ signups, in which case we will move to a 32-person bracket). The most likely brackets will be an 8-person bracket or a 16-person bracket. The format will be 1v1, with the Round of 16 and round of 8 (quarterfinals) being bo1, and the semis and finals being bo3. You will have five days to sign up for the tournament, and then one extra day to pick your pokémon and formulate your strategy. The event will last for roughly 1-1.5 hours, and will be done all in one sitting. Here is a reference to a previous tournament that has been done: Pokemon Showdown! The tournament will be played on this website, and will require all participants to create an account: Website Let me know your thoughts about an event like this!
  8. rawmondz just had to flex his inventory on us plebians
  9. Thank you everyone for attending the event! It was a blast to host this with @Rygor and hopefully we can do another one soon. Congratulations to the winners of this event: Quiz 1: Ultimate 2010s Trivia - Winner @Casual Quiz 2: General Knowledge - Winner @Steven. Quiz 3: CSGO Trivia - Winner @Mikey. Thank you all for coming! Winners, please message @Black Rain to receive your reward.
  10. Bump, event starts in less than 10 minutes! Get in the Events Channel on Discord to join the action! Friendly reminder to everyone participating: if you want to be eligible to win prizes and the forum awards, your kahoot name must be the same as your forum name, or similar enough for us to tell what it is. I will be recording the winners of each quiz. Racist names are not allowed, and obviously rules apply.
  11. I had a StatTrak Vanilla Butterfly Knife which I bought back in 2017 for only like $275. It's now worth $632, which sucks.
  12. space time

    no
  13. Would the tournament be able to be completed in the span of 1-2 hours, or would it require multiple days of participation?
  14. @RemixedPixel how long would this tournament take to run, and what are the minimum amount of players required to start and complete a successful tournament? There are currently a lot of events going on right now and in the near future, and with the presence of SGSL like Kieran said this tournament might have to wait until after SGSL.
  15. I would definitely be down to run something like this, although since never really been a big fan of Pokémon in general, and I don't really know how it would work. Would the tournament be single elimination, will there be brackets? Also, I don't really know how many people would be interested in this either.
  16. I've never really been a big fan of tattoos in general, but I definitely respect and admire some tattoos, especially if the design and execution of the tattoo is nice. Yours look fucking sick. I'm not really a big fan of body modification, and if I'm being honest I'd probably fuck up in getting a tattoo anyways and regret it for the rest of my life. If I had to get a tattoo, it would probably be like a dragon or something on my left shoulder.

  18. This is actually one of the ideas that I had, and I've given this idea some thought as well. Being rewarded for running a tight ship as a CT could offer incentive to play CT more, but there are also some fallbacks. CTs would probably not give as many, if any at all freedays. Why would the CTs give a free day if they could be rewarded for keeping order? Also, this could indirectly result in more freekills, as CTs are more desperate to keep an advantage and not allow for any rebelling. This could also result in rounds being boring for Ts, as CTs who want to control the Ts are less likely to give fun rounds or days. There might result in a lot of repetitive orders, telling people to freeze, go here, then go there, then go here, and eventually force a deathgame. It could cause the game to become a bit stale. However, I think that overall this is not a bad idea, but there are certain things about it that might not be as viable.
  19. I think one of the main reasons why no one wants to play CT is because there really isn't much incentive to play CT. The only thing that you can work towards as a CT is CTTime, which gives you more ranks (Private, Sergeant, Officer, etc.). On the T side, you have incentive to play because you can gain points and climb the ranks. I think one solution to improve this CT problem would be to offer an incentive to play CT. Most of the Jailbreak regulars play T, because they can gain points and climb the leaderboards. The CT leaderboards have nothing to do with skill, only playtime. How else would I be #2 on the CT leaderboards? However, it's harder to think of ways to make more people want to play CT, as adding points for CTs killing Ts would definitely not be a good idea. This would make CTs more kill hungry than they already are, and would result in increased freekills. One possible way to get some more CTs would be to create a CT leaderboard that is more skill-based, providing people with motivation and drive to play CT. How exactly to do that, I have no idea currently. I do think that there is a way to do it though, and it's a topic that I've given a lot of thought to.
  20. The CTs health is fine right now. They don't need a buff. The reason why they seem so underpowered is not because they're weak, but rather because less people seem to want to play CT. This has nothing to do with the strength of health of the CTs in-game, it is simply preference. While I do agree that having a 4-17 ratio as a CT sucks, it doesn't necessarily warrant a health or any other kind of buff. When the ratio is balanced and the CTs are methodical, cautious, and orderly, they win most of the rounds. However, when there are a deficit of CTs, or newer and inexperienced people are playing CT, it can make it seem as though the CY side itself is underpowered.
  21. Yeah, I was just saying that it registers as that sometimes. I'm not saying that it's supposed to do that, contrary to that actually. This is a glitch or an issue, and I feel as though Ts should be able to knife the air while LRing because it really doesn't do much harm unless they're attempting to kill the CT. However, one thing that I do notice is that when a T does damage a CT with their knife, sometimes it doesn't abort the LR which is weird as well.
  22. This glitch happens sometimes, but it's not a major thing because even knifing the air is seen by the game as cheating the LR. You're not supposed to be using your knife at all, only the pistol which you're doing S4S with, so it reacts sometimes as cheating. You also cheat the LR if you throw utility, which I saw happen the other day as well.
  23. I don't really play too much Retakes anymore, but from my prior knowledge of the servers this is the points system: +3 for a kill +3 for a T side round win +4 for a CT side round win -3 for a round loss -3 for a death Also I think that maybe if you die to players who are a lower rank than you, you lose more points than by dying to someone of the same or higher rank, but I'm not completely sure about that.
  24. Although I can't stream, because I play on a clunky laptop, I will definitely be tuning into the stream! This is my first summer charity stream experience, but I know it'll be awesome!
  25. Jmc had a great response but I'll try to give a few tips of my own. The most important thing when it comes to rebelling and gaining points as a T is to have map knowledge. This should be your number one priority. Learn all the maps in the rotations, and try to learn as many secrets as possible. This will allow you to easily sneak away and find guns, or go straight to armory where you can deck yourself out in weaponry. You don't really need to have that good of aim to successfully rebel in Jailbreak, you just have to have your timings right. Using the map and its secrets will allow you to surprise unsuspecting guards and get some kills, which will lead to chaos, hopefully which will allow you to get some kills. Also, considering that a vast amount of maps have a network of vents, it's a good idea to memorize and know those vents, so you don't get lost. Probably the second most important thing to work on is your movement. Many secrets in this map require good movement and jumping, which will help you out a great deal when trying to get points. Here are a few examples: In AWP secret for Electric Razor, you have to jump up and press a button, then jump on an invisible block and then go into the secret. As well as VIPintheMix, you have to climb up a ladder and then jump off at the perfect time to land on an invisible block to get to the AWP. Frankly, the best way to rebel is not necessarily to get kills, it's to cause chaos. Rebelling as a group will increase your chances of success, and working with your fellow prisoners to say, distract the CTs or to rush one of them who isn't ready for it can work better than going solo and trying to ace. CTs that are being shot at from all angles will have a harder time killing you, and will make it easier for you to kill them.
