  1. wow I don't get huge congratulations?
  2. Heyo!!! Congrats everybody!
  3. YO HOLD UP ZZL looking like a snack in this vid
  4. Damn Strayyz, even though I didn't know you that well it hurts to see you go. I've had a couple of interactions with you on Retakes and a couple of the events that you have run, and you seem like a very cool person. I wish I could have got to know you better, and maybe that still could happen in the future. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors, I hope that you come back soon.
  5. Yeah this has been an issue, but a rather minor issue overall for me as well. Specifically, when I do /statsme on the Jailbreak server and scroll to the end where it says time connected, it shows me one time. However, when I go onto the stats page on the website and look at my total time connected, it shows something different. I don't know which one is more accurate, but there isn't that much of a different (it's only off by about 1-2 hours for my part). As John said above, there are some new awards that are going to be coming out with the new forums, and I for one am extremely excited to see the new forums, as well as the awards that will accompany them, and any other new features that are going to be available on the new forums.
  6. Josh A

will definitely check both Jake Hill and Josh A out, thanks Error.
  7. This is it boys, this is the final guide. I've noticed that when playing Jailbreak, a lot of people aren't necessarily recording their gameplay. I get a lot of freekill reports and people complaining in the chat about someone who freekilled them, but then when I ask them for evidence so I can take action against the offending player, a common response is "oh, I wasn't recording" or "sorry, I didn't save the clip". Obviously if I didn't see someone get freekilled, I can't punish the player who freekilled him. So here's a guide on my personal favorite recording software. What is Medal.tv? Medal is an easy-to-use recording software that doesn't interfere with the quality of your fameplay. It is easy to set up, and easy to save clips as well. How do I download Medal? Go to this link: Medal.tv and click the download button. Unfortunately, I think this software only supports Windows, so if you're using some other software, Medal.tv is not a viable option for you. How do I save a clip? Once Medal is downloaded, open the application and you should be brought to the dashboard. In the top right corner, there is a gear button which will bring you to the settings. There are a lot of settings that you can change, but the most important ones are HOTKEY and CLIP LENGTH. Here are my settings for Medal.tv clips: 1. Hotkey: F1 2. Clip Length: 2 minutes 3. Default Settings for everything else How do I use it? When you are in-game, on any server, whether it be official CS:GO server or SG Jailbreak, all you have to do is press your set hotkey, and it will save your gameplay from the last 2 minutes, or 15 seconds, or whatever your clip length is. I like to keep my clip length at the maximum amount of tie (2 minutes), as it allows a lot of leeway for the clip itself. Once you press the hotkey, you'll hear a sound, which signifies that the clip was successfully saved. All you have to do then is exit CS:GO, and the clip will be waiting there on the Medal.tv dashboard under "Ready to Publish". Click on the clip, and you can trim the length if you want, and then publish it. After the clip is published, it will appear on your public profile, and it will automatically give you a shareable link that you can message to people, or post on the forums, teamspeak, or discord. Medal.tv has worked perfectly for me for over half a year, and I've used it to make player complaints, save funny clips, and gather evidence on cheaters. Hopefully this guide helps people who want to record their gameplay but don't know how. If anyone has any questions about Medal.tv and how to use it, or has difficulty installing it or saving their clips, feel free to post in this thread and I'll try my best to help out.Medal.tv is an easy-to-use, easy to set up recording software that runs in the background while you play. I play on a chunky laptop from the 300s BC, and even I find that having Medal running in the background doesn't slow down my gameplay at all.
  8. In TTT, there is a plugin which allows players, if they are either traitors or detectives, to type /voice or/v in chat to talk only with other traitors or detectives. This allows them to plan with each other or talk to each other without anybody else knowing. I think that Jailbreak could definitely benefit from a plugin like this, especially for the prisoners. If there was an ability for prisoners to talk to each other without the guards being able to hear or see (which can happen in terrorist chat, but that's more time-consuming), it would much better allow for collaborative rebelling. Prisoners could plan to rebel together (i.e. at 4:30 let's rush this CT, or come with me to third cell secret), it would make the gamemode more interesting and keep the guards on their toes, as they would never really know what's about to happen. It would force guards to take into consideration a more large-scale, planned rebellion which they would have to defend against. I think it would be super cool to have something like this implemented in-game.
  9. I also am a fan of this idea, because it would force the Ts to collaborate, and probably use utility (flashes, nades, and molotovs) to kill all the CTs. I also agree with what drippy is saying, that with an admin online it would be much easier to enforce this war day. The CTs would pick a spot, and everyone would go there, and an admin could make sure that no one was where they weren't supposed to be, help Ts get into armory, etc. I also think that it'd be quite easy to keep track of how many war days there have been on a map - that is, one. I also think that if a map gets extended, it's plausible to allow another one to happen.
  10. To respond to your last question, asking what the definitive line between delaying and blatant disobeying is, I don't think there is one. As with many rules, there are some grey areas where it's just basically common sense and CT discretion. If you see a T straying a little bit off the path, you can use common sense and not spray them down, but if they're obviously not trying to go to the designated area, then they're blatantly disobeying. An example of this would be electric razor, order is to take a step out and freeze. If a T jumps out of VIP cell and goes to another cell, tha/ not blatant as you're not losing track of them. However, if they jump down and beeline towards VIP secret, that's blatant, because they're not trying to follow the order, they're going directly for a secret that would make you lose track of them and have to hunt them down, taking your attention away from the larger group of Ts.
  11. Yeah I slightly edited that rule proposal because I believe that it should be guard discretion to see how much time is needed to LR. I'd say give at least fifteen seconds, but putting in a rule that assures a reasonable amount of time to LR would make it that CTs can't say "LR in the next five seconds or I'm going to shoot you, which unfortunately happens more than you'd think. Also, about your second point I do agree that there are Ts who are going to delay typing in LR until the last possible moment, but that's not going to change no matter how much time CTs give. If you tell them to LR by a certain time you should give them enough, but obviously not so much time that it's just delaying at that point. CTs shouldn't be giving Ts more than like 30-45 seconds to LR, and by that point it's obviously delaying the round.
  12. What I like to think of as blatant disobeying is when a T forces you to shift your attention to them, which would cause you not to be focusing on the larger group of prisoners. If you're straying directly from the path that you're supposed to be on, that's blatant disobeying. If you're told to go to big cage and you run towards vending machine, it's warning shottable until it can be seen that you're obviously not trying to go to big cage. Taking a not direct path is delaying, and it's kind of a grey area and CT discretion from where delaying leads to blatant disobeying. Cell hopping, or dropping down is not blatant disobeying, but running into a cell when you're supposed to be going is, because you're making the guards look away from the larger group and find you.
  13. I've noticed recently that a lot of CTs haven't been giving enough time for Ts to LR, and since there's not really a rule about it, the only thing I can really do is tell them to not be a dick and to give a reasonable amount of time to LR. An example of this is when a deathgame is activated, and by the time 1:15 left on the clock last request is activated. I've seen several times where a CT would say "exit the deathgame and LR by 1:10", and proceed to warning shot most of the prisoners, who simply weren't given enough time to get out of the deathgame, type in the command, choose their specific last request and who they'd like to do it with. I've also seen scenarios where the remaining Ts are frozen, and the guard will still only give them like five seconds to LR. I propose adding this rule: "Whest Request is activated, Guards can force the prisoners to LR, but must give them a reasonable amount of time to send an LR request" I believe that 15 seconds is ample time to send an LR request, and people who haven't in more than fifteen seconds are probably either purposefully delaying or didn't hear the order, in which case a warning shot would be appropriate. Let me know what you guys think about this rule being added.
  14. congratulations all! well deserved to all who got their promotions, look forward to seeing your ideas put to use!
  15. Welcome back Mommasalt, hope to see you on Jailbreak soon!
  16. Sad to see you go, hopefully when you get back on you'll hop on Jailbreak and we can play together. You can check out anytime, but you can never leave.

  18. Well at least for me, being on T side and having the possibility of a forced deathgame would increase the incentive for me to rebel, because I don't want to have to participate in a deathgame where I might die.
  19. I definitely agree with Casual on this one. I have also seen Infinityward, Bacon, and Dominic on the server at some times. Although there aren't constantly people on the servers, they're still fun to play with. There are a lot of active regulars that play, and there are a decent amount of maps that get played. However, I would definitely argue in favor of adding some deathgames to the most popular server, which is electric razor. Adding, colors, jumprope, or other minigames to play would greatly increase the popularity of these maps, and make them more fun to play for everyone. This was done with the sgedit of razor, although I don't really know what happened to it.
  20. Oh well this is awkward. I didn't realize the event was so recent, for some reason I thought the last one was in January, hmm. Well I'll be waiting for another event, these are always fun!
  21. SLOTHY COME BACK

  22. It's like mafia. there are innocents and fascists, and the fascists have to secretly pass bills while the innocents have to find out who the fascists are and kill them or pass their good bills.
  23. i'll miss u ejrwu115 you were a good forum account <3 :pensive2:

  24. It's been awhile since we've done a Secret Hitler event, and I'd like to bring it back. I was unable to attend the previous one, which is why I'd like to have another one. Secret Hitler is easy to learn, it's easily accessible, and isn't that much of a hassle to set up. It can support a lot of players, and I think it would be a great event to have again.
  25. sounds fun, I might crawl out of the cave that is Jailbreak to join for this event.
