I suggest that it should be humanoid.

We talked about this idea briefly in TS, about maybe getting a mascot for SG to add some humor to the site and make it more welcoming and fun. Let me give you an example by using Yotsuba ( the 4chan mascot): It does not have to be some anime style (though I would love to have a SG-tan), It can even be something like those elves from the steam sale. The character would convey different emotions depending on the page and situation or even have some art in the theme of each sub-forum) I kind of want serious opinions from the community (no ) . We would just need to find an artist.

WHAT A DIVERSE AND MODERN ECONOMY I hope their country gets economically rekt. Hopefully it will teach them a lesson or two. Their GDP growth is expected to be -4.5 to -5% next year. It only sucks that any reasonable Russians also get fucked by this.

The community itself does not have enough money for such things. You will just have to hope on charitable individuals.

What do you have in mind, exactly?

I get laughed at whenever I suggest something like that at CA+ meetings... so no. Apparently no attention is better than little attention and it would all be a huge waste of time. If we did, this is how I would see it: 1. We make some funny and witty comments on some larger gaming related pages. 2. Share our videos both on our page and larger pages that look for funny gaming videos. Even if most people would not want to associate with some random gaming community from under their real name, we would still get people who think "That was funny, I wonder what steamgamers is."

NS2 was great, I used to play it a lot when we had a server. Getting people to play is not hard, you just have to afk a bit and the server will fill up fast.
