  7. AGP is an old chipset. What kind of Mobo do you have? I'm pretty sure all the ones lately made support PCI-E instead of AGP.
  8. Possible reasons. 1) Your card is not fully in the slot. 2) Your pins aren't connected. 3) Your Power connector got unplugged (one of them) 3) Your PSU cannot supply it sufficient power. 4) Your Motherboard died. 5) Your PSU died. 6) Your video connector sucks, VGA? 7) Your monitor burned out. 8) Your graphics card is faulty. 9) You didn't put the video connectors on the actual video card's video connector slots. 10) You're using a card on the wrong slot. I strongly suggest that if you have zero experience in computer technology, you do not touch your computer parts. Your description of the problem leads me to believe that, and is the sole reason I listed all those possibles. You NEED to list the actual card, your computer specs, and a good description of the problem before anyone could help.
  9. If your board and peripherals are lighting up but the machine isn't booting, you should make sure that all the power connections to the motherboard are secure and that you haven't missed one. If they aren't both connected and seated well, the board lights up but doesn't boot. Even with everything properly connected your motherboard will not boot untill you clear CMOs. This resets it to its default settings, and from there you can boot and get into BIOS and reconfigure your system. BTW, why the 8800? Everyone knows how beast that card is regarding power. With a 300W you can easily setup a 1GB HD 4650, 9500 GT, or 9600 GSO. I'm pretty unsure on a 512MB 4670 though.

  12. If your Laptop is very very old or is in bad condition you could of possibly have gotten a bunch of dead pixels. It's a common problem among LCD monitors/screens.
