thats true. sucks that you had alot of BSODs. until 7, vista was easily the most stable OS i'd ever used. i only had 4 BSOD's over the 4 years i ran the same install of vista, and they were all caused by crappily coded games.

you know very little then, akaru. vista and windows 7 combined is STILL not what they originally planned back then. but to the point, vista does not and did NOT suck. third party companies were lazy and slow at developing new drivers. Microsoft gave them fair warning that they were going to change the kernel architecture VASTLY, but most if not all of them either didn't believe them, or never fathomed how much they would do so. Regardless, it was a change that I find was very necessary, if not ONLY for video card drivers. said drivers are responsible for over 90% of all BSOD's, and vista/win7's kernel does not allow the driver failing to bring down the whole OS as it did before. And even if you refuse to believe that vista actually did not suck, that it was pretty much 100% the 3rd parties' faults, that most other complaints were from people running now-ancient computer components (which makes you wonder why the fuck they changed to vista to begin with); even refusing all of that, it was only a year of bad support MAX. (which, again, was all hardware manufacturer's faults.)

likely reasons for a wire becoming unshielded? well.. physics, and uh.. bad luck, is about all that is required for this to occur. either, get a new headset bro, or open it up (if it can be w/o breaking the plastic casing) and find any wires where you see copper exposed, and if so, wrap some electrical tape around it. but yes, when sound goes out like that (especially if it randomly comes back) it means there is a short (caused by unshielded wires touching)

what is your major malfunction numb nuts? I have a set of hd555s. I also happen to have that headset because I got it for free. I'm not about to use my headphones and a desk mic. so i just use the headset when (rarely) i want to talk. like, seriously dude. me saying "suited for gaming" doesnt mean i think that "made for gaming" products are superior. i know they're gimmicky, thank you. you're not the only person on the planet that has ears that work you know. i know what sounds good and what doesnt, thus why i have some hd555s. also, i more than understood he was joking about leaning towards bose. i was just reaffirming your points, but maybe i should take it back since its apparent you give WAY too much of a shit about sound just like you do CRT monitors.

to solve that problem get a gaming-grade mouse. ~1200 dpi+. i can literally flick my mouse half a centimeter and be on the other side of the screen. i never lift.

weights in a mouse make it feel more solid. people that mess with it beyond the point of personal preference of how heavy the mouse is are trying to compensate for bad reflexes. for example, if you havent used your mouse long enough to be able to aim at any point of the screen by reflex, weights are not gonna fix it ;)

you're better off with the full regardless. it can do upgrades OR straight format. i never understood how they get off acting like being able to format from the disc is worth an extra $100+. PM if you'd be interested in said full version, you'd have enough money left to buy several games or a new graphics card etc.

its more safe than it ever was. its new ISP is in an atomic bomb shelter. there is no stopping internet connection or power to that place. And this ISP hosts like hacker groups and other things vastly more illegal than TPB could ever be, so they're safe in that regard.

Simply put, even if it was illegal, you know jack shit about how MSDN works. i know several people that have had their MSDN accounts suspended, but the keys continue to work to this day.
