  1. WHAT IF, WE PROVIDE A SERVER WHERE PEOPLE CAN SCRIPT (THROUGH A PRE-SPECIFIED API) THEIR OWN AIMBOTS/HACKS OF WHATEVER KIND, AND DO HACK VS HACK.
  2. I think it's because english isn't your first language, but your commentary (general speaking) is very disjointed and hard to follow, you pause mid sentence, very frequently, for seemingly no reason. I'm not trying to be rude, just giving you tips to work on (commentary based channels generally need to be very charismatic), so aside from knowing what you're talking about and actually having content with it, this is the other main point for a successful channel. In reality, it's probably of #1 importance.
  3. Like the above have said, I used to love SK, and wanted to start/manage a server, but there was never enough interest and I'm afraid that's pretty much how it will be forever I think.
  4. Swim for an hour 3-5 times a week. Could not possibly advocate swimming more. You don't overheat, there's no impact, it works nearly every muscle, and (I personally) love it. It's not like 'I should go swimming today', going swimming is what I look forward to, and it's the only thing that makes me go to class (I swim before class then shower there usually/almost always).
  5. It's absolutely amazing.

My favourite is The Windswept Mercy.

After which I really like Antidotes in Passing and Tongue. Literally every song is amazing except the brief 1 minute intro (I usually just delete intros).

Everything else is like tied for second after The Windswept Mercy... Like phenomenal album.

  6. Not much to add. No response from Amit, and I myself am IP banned as well. I'm pretty sure Amit never changed his firewall settings from when we were being hacked, and so the firewall rules are incredibly strict. I couldn't remember my fdl password, so I guessed at it like twice, and then was unable to connect to anything steamgamers related afterwards. Might not be the same issue for everyone, but right now it's my best guess.
  7. We are making a game using C# and XNA. And C# is like 95% the same as Java, which, like BW said, is more noob friendly than C/C++.
  8. Like Tweezy said, by the sounds of it, Javascript isn't what you think it is. It is a purely web based language, so in order to ever use it, you'd need to build a (even veryyy simple) html page to run your javascript code on. Java is a good language to learn, and it's veryyy forgiving. This is pretty much Java vs C/C++: Java: Oh your syntax on this is wrong, you missed this, this doesn't make sense but I know what you meant by it, you forgot all of your imports, you missed a couple closing brackets over here, a type mismatch here but.... I think I understood what you meant, give me a second and I'll fix it all for you.... And good to go! C/C++: What the fuck? Do you have any idea what you're doing? This doesn't even make sense... *Then you add a semi-colon* Oh okay there we go, perfect. That being said, I could not possibly agree with Svendy more when he said: Java is like eye cancer. I absolutely HATE the way java code looks, whereas C/C++ code is a sexy beast. My personal favourite language is C, but it's kind of hard to get a foothold on the language. At the same time it teaches you more because it doesn't do automatic garbage collection like Java does. Java runs the same on every OS. C/C++ doesn't. I would also say Java is probably more intuitive because it is more Object Oriented. The first language I was taught was C++ and I didn't find it too difficult. That being said, give us an example of what you want to be able to code, and we might be able to recommend a better language.
  9. No, Amit never got back to me. I just shot him another email so I'll post here if/when he gets back to me.
  10. I emailed Amit, he never got back to me after the fact on what it was (though I just emailed him asking), but he said "Will check now. It’s probably a firewall issue."
  11. Having good flex is awesome. Less stability, but makes it a lot easier to waddle, and is pretty much mandatory for any park riding. My last 163 was a brick, but my new one has unreal flex. Even though I usually just bomb down the mountain (rather than park), I still love the flex. Just takes more control at high speeds. http://www.arborcollective.com/snow/boards/ Also, I don't really know about Burton or what have you, but often, brands don't directly sell their equipment. For instance you can't order Arbor boards from their site, you have to find a retailer selling them. So just because you find a Burton board you like, doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to find that model in retail. I mean if you're determined I'm sure you can somewhere but, might be better to look at snowboard retailers, rather than brands websites. I could be wrong though, maybe Burton does sell their equipment online directly through their website.
  12. Colour may vary just means the shade may be different. If you order a green/blue board, you'll get a green/blue board, but it might not be the exact shade it appeared to be in the picture. Also, are you sure you want a 163? I was riding a 163 before (I'm 6'3, 165 ish), and it was fine, but now I'm riding a 158 and I like it a lot more (it's based on weight and height, not just height anymore). Also if this is your first snowboard, make sure you know what you're getting. I don't actually see anywhere on that page where it goes over the specs, but you should see if you can find a flex rating, and if it's camber or rocker. I actually just looked up a review, and it's 5/10 flex with a weird shape (it said it was camber between the bindings, rocker on the outside). I have no experience with that, so I can't really tell you if it'd be good to have it like that, but it would also depend what you use it for. Do you like to just bomb down the mountain? Or do you prefer to go around and take smaller jumps etc? Also look at flex rating on your Flow bindings and get an appropriate one as well.
  13. Pick your board first, and most other things will be based around what board you choose. Snowboard: Burton, Ride, Arbor, Rome, Forum, and more. Find a good looking board, then do some reviews on it. It doesn't matter how nice the board is or what brand it is, if it's not your size, or doesn't fit your riding style, don't get it. Bindings: Flow. Boots: Again anything really. I have Burton Invaders, but any boot that matches and fits will pretty much work. Pants/Jacket: just go to your nearest Mark's Work Wearhouse (or an equivalent where you live), and pick something up. Wouldn't be 'brand' name, but would be good quality. In this case, most brands would work fine. Quicksilver, Burton, any brand that makes winter wear would work if you're looking for brand name. Helmet: Can't help you, never looked into helmets. Goggles: I recommend Spy or Oakley. (Mine are Oakley, but the sickest pair I've ever seen were Spy, I just didn't feel like spending $120 on them). Honestly though, board: £300, bindings: £150, boots: £100, pants: £50, jacket: £150, helmet: ?? ~£70 ??, goggles: £70. Still under £1000, and I would say that would be generously spending on most of the things I listed. The only thing that would have a huge variance would be the board, but again, if you aren't getting a brand new 2013 model it's not going to run you anywhere near £1500. I genuinely believe you could budget it and get good gear for like £500 or less, but hey it's your choice, I just don't think you'd ever notice a difference between a setup for 500, vs 1500 when it came to actual riding/performance (unless you were top tier snowboarder). (This was also guesstimating conversions between CAD and £).
  14. 1500 is really high for an intermediate snowboarder. I got my board, and bindings for like 500 total (CAD-which is ~£320). Not absolutely top quality, but I can't possibly imagine having to spend anywhere NEAR that much on snowboard gear. Unless you are getting a brand new 2013 model which MIGHT run you like £6-700 (don't do it), get a 2012 or 2011 model and save yourself like £3-400. Get Flow bindings, you will NOT regret them. When I got mine I thought they'd be nice, no, they're amazing. I can genuinely say you should not even consider any other bindings. You could look into Arbor boards, they look really nice, no personal experience with them though, would have gotten one but they seem to be somewhat hard to find. Then there's always the more common brands like Burton which are certainly great too. Boots get whatever, not very important aside from comfort (and just make sure they match the board/bindings). My board cost me ~200, bindings cost me another 200, boots were about 100, and shipping for board+bindings was another 80 ish? (This is all CAD). Again, not top quality, and you might want to spend more on your board, but bindings should run you like £1-150, board could go up a fair bit more (you could try to find one on sale), and boots should be I don't ride with a helmet so I really can't tell you about that, if you do a lot of tricks and are in the park a lot it might be a good idea to invest in one, but I can't really help you with that. Goggles aren't that expensive. So unless you are getting a brand new 2013 board, new bindings, new boots, new helmet, new coat, new snowpants, new goggles, new underwear, shirt, jeans, toque, neck scarf and the lot, I don't see how it's going to run you £1500. But yeah, get Flow bindings, and then just get a sick looking snowboard.
  15. Seems farrrrr too one dimensional.
  16. Rise Above the Sentiment: _LEKU7cBOak This Momentary Bliss: LR2C2kEONIU Spectrum of Eternity: M_DydLwYnUk Super tasty. Really excited for their new album.
  17. Do share more about how hairy your ass is. I'm confident everyone wants to know. I don't know if I'd consider that really hairy, but I also don't regularly rate guys legs on how hairy they are, so it's purely speculation on my part (I may very well be wrong). But my legs are hairier than that, and I do presume it counts for something as far as keeping warm. @Xeno Could very well be. Obviously I have no real way to know if my circulation is good or not, but it makes sense, especially given that when I give blood I usually finish in nearly half the time of my roommate. Although supposedly men usually give blood a little bit faster than women anyways. (It's usually like 6 minutes for me, 10 ish for her), and I never have to squeeze the squeeze-toy to pump blood faster. @Spartan Also makes sense, and kind of reinforces Xeno's idea. That's probably the case, considering I'm almost always hot when nobody else seems to be (I usually call my parents lava demons because I'll ask to turn the thermostat down and my mom will say "NO, I'm freezing!"-she's probably on the opposite side of the spectrum). Or maybe this is all too complex an explanation and really I'm just a fire wizard irl.
  18. That's because the HDMI on the monitor is for input, the HDMI for laptop is for output, and the HDMI for blu-ray is output. Output into output (obviously) doesn't work, but output into input does.
  19. I didn't think this was strange, and until today, I thought my roommates were just scolding me on principle. But it really doesn't matter what temperature it is outside, if I go out in shorts, my legs never get cold (yet every time I do my roommates act as if it's the end of the world). The only time they get cold is if they touch something cold (like I wouldn't go rolling around in the snow or anything). In fact my legs are usually only cold when I wear jeans, because the wind will blow my jeans tight against my legs, and then my legs will feel colder. The same goes for my feet to a lesser extent. I mean sometimes in my house my feet feel cold. But they never feel "colder" if I'm outside in the cold until I'm in my sandals and brushing the snow off my car and it falls onto my feet. Then they feel colder until I brush the snow off my feet/the snow melts. My legs also aren't extraordinarily hairy (maybe slightly hairier than average). Anyone else notice their legs are never cold outside?
  20. Next time I catch you on steam I can try to help you.
  21. Same. Been listening to them for a few years now, and I'm VERY excited for this album. Going to be riiiightttt spicy.

  22. You should be able to, and you could always remove your desktops harddrive and temporarily replace it with your laptops so as to avoid any chance of overwriting your current data. Also I've done it multiple times through usb (including my most recent reformat to windows 8). I haven't had a problem of it not recognizing the drive though. Is your usb really old by chance?
  23. In a dictionary attack simple substitutions will likely be checked. That being said, it is still a good idea, but simply putting passw0rd instead of password will not buy you much time ;) So I recommend adding something more, and using an uncommon word, and the more you substitute the better. This is an interesting "graph" of sorts, that depicts password popularity, thickness indicates how often it is used, but everything on that list is still commonly used. Basically if the hacker is using a dictionary attack, using common words (even with some substitutions) might lead to your password getting cracked, however if it is not found in a dictionary attack, and the hacker has to resort to brute force, then any substitution (that adds to having at least 1 lowercase, upper, symbol, and number) will be vastly beneficial. Of your examples the strongest one would be Wastedaze, and the weakest would be gigity, but exactly, this is a very simple way to make any password stronger (passw0rd is still not strong, but it is of course strongER than password). And @ Jen/whoever else, if you need your password changed (because it prompts you for your current one in order to be able to change it) you can PM me (or another admin) to change it to a temp password, then use that to change it yourself.
  24. Brute force (and dictionary) are both ways to crack a password hash. They try a password, hash it (with salt if necessary), and see if the hashes come out to be the same thing. If it does, they've found the password, if it doesn't, then they try the next password. For this reason, they have no idea what the password looks like, they only know if they got it correct.
