Excellent, and yet you seem to have neglected to mention everything in this statement up until now. You are faceless on facebook and I don't see how any of this would have been problem when writing the thread or that thing you made. Still, you don't have experience. There is no need for a uniform to distinguish the capacity to help people, but there is one in this case, and in any case like it. It doesn't have to be the uniform of a cop, a firefighter, or a government official, but you do need one that represents aide or an affiliate of one. If you think a foreigner or just about anyone in general can waltz straight into Haiti and start tossing food around, you are sadly mistaken. This is a public thread flash and no matter what the topic is, you should be aware that it will always become subject to public opinion. Now, I can easily argue that because you are apart of SG, I have every right to care because I do, and if need be, voice my negative opinion if I think it is more than relevant to the matter. You could very well possibly help another human being, those in Haiti of course, but while you pretend to romanticize this misguided notion that it is just that simple, you are quite mistaken. Simply buying a ticket to a foreign country isn't enough and running out there unprepared and inexperienced can do more damage than good, in any situation, but most definentally in one such as this. Since you have decided to defend yourself and suggest you don't need a uniform to help (false to great extent), I assume you are none of those who do wear them. Are you apart of an orginiation or association, affiliate of any such programs and or ventures that are there to aid? Have you ever experienced anything out of the normal such as this? I don't mind if people want to make a difference, but I prefer they do what they can, when they can, in an environment they can handle. You have yet to share with us any significant information that suggests that Haiti is this enviornment, and that worries me.

I would have to agree with this. ^ Flash, I assume you feel very strongly about this situation, but your entire thread and facebook thing strikes me as repugnant and childish. I know Haiti could use all the help they can get their hands on, but I wouldn't want to send you there even if the only thing you asked for was a single membership, mainly because you haven't given us anything that suggests we should. If this offends you, it isn't meant to, it is meant to merely inform you. Maybe you should start a thread asking us to help you make a facebook thing, get you into some programs, etc.., besides asking for us to join a membership. The point isn't necessarily to warn them, just to allow future spectators the chance to see that this invidual acknowledges our rules, knows and understands the consequences, and that they can punish/ban without having to deal with most of the bullshit found in appeals. Ignorance(an offender's greatest ally), cannot be used as an excuse. Common sense and judgement should be made by all players of any level in SG. I have made countless complaints when I was Sup. and have also let countless others go without a word, because believe it or not, there are plenty out there new to our servers and just need someone, aside from an admin punishing, to give them the proper warnings. I don't see how taking 2 seconds to type a proper warning somehow affects you considerably, in a negative way. Demos and SS are great, but it really doesn't help much if you just sit back in silence and secretly tape one another. The real contribution are the actions that result in being able to walk into a server and seeing and hearing no assholes, just good, plain fun. How the hell are people going to know that the community doesn't tolerate that bullshit when only admins are the ones publicly taking action.

I don't see an issue with this, considering I made my fair share of mic spamming player complaints. Tip: Make sure your demo is longer than 5 seconds; make multiple if you feel it is necesarry. Ask them politely to stop and tell them that is against the rules to mic spam and is a bannable offense, in chat. Do it in through mic as well, but the key is through chat; always chat. If you are playing in that server, I can't think of any reason for not being able to record as long as you can. If you take the SS and demo, there isn't any real hurry to get it posted on the forums. For just about every 9/10 complaints that are made, it will take hours-days before someone takes action. Stick around for awhile and get all that you can.

That isn't necesarrily an issue, while in fact, it is something very easily avoidable. Is it really that difficult to conceive a product that doesn't have Steamgamers in large font but instead have a small SG insignia on the back end or on a breast pocket; how about not at all? I think we covered this a couple pages back.

I definentally wouldn't start stock piling shirts and beanies, but if you made some samples to give us an idea, I think that would certainly go a long way. A vote from the members would be a good idea to know what they are after before moving straight in. As our buddy Joey mentioned, a beanie wouldn't be too bad for starters considering the weather; also ballcap for a substitute. T-shirts are a must, but perhaps just two or three styles for the time being. It doesn't need to be incredibly intricate though; in fact, simple and clean is usually much more appealing. If you have a decent starting place, requests could be made to open the variety a bit more. --- Although there are many more things that can be sold, I think t-shirts and hats are just about the most popular of the bunch.

There is no guarentee, but I will see what I can come up with. I doubt I would charge anything aside from material costs + S&H, and of course, would first need the go ahead from the higherups before actually selling the stuff. I am incredibly bored so maybe a new hobby is the way to go. If there is any luck, I should be able to show some samples by the end of the week or two.

Let us take another moment to help out someone that will actually be buying this hardware, as though we were actually trying to determine the best fit for him with the best prices. Now, after we have all taken this time to re-examine the entire situation, let's set aside stupid statements as said above. - TF2 is 2 years old, and will still be able to run 1-2 years from now on an 8800, at least. Will every future game suddenly jump to those system requirements in the next year or 2? It is very unlikely, and even if they did, there is no guarentee 90% that crap will even be worth your time. For me personally, Crysis wasn't, I don't like Assassin's Creed myself, TF2 wasn't too shabby for a couple of months, Bioshock lasted about 20 hours of my life and ran perfectly fine at minimum requirements, so did Oblivison, such as any stand alone generally does. You use a 7300, and have been fairly content so far. You haven't said you "need" the extra power but merely want it, so I think you can do the math. Save the cash, use that extra money to set up something worthwhile when you know what you want.

If you have been using the 7300 and haven't found a great number of issues, there aren't a hell of a lot of reasons to upgrade to the newest and most powerful shit out there. You say you just want something new and a bit more powerful right? Buy just that. Unless you have seen a game, list of games actually, worth an amazing card like those, don't bother. You should be perfectly content with a 9800, and if you feel you need a little boost, just upgrade then, not now. You will save the money for something down the line which in time will obviously bring down prices, have that extra cash in your pocket for other crap, and let you go through this process again so that you will get the answers you want. In one PC I have had an 8800 for more than 2 years now and it has run everything I have thrown at it so far and it will continue to run plenty for atleast a couple more years. This one I have is a 9800 and there isn't a huge difference in my opinion, aside from it running hotter. The 8800 was out of stock so i settled. Save cash by getting it online. You waiting this long, why not a couple extra days? Definentally worth it when considering what you save, possibilty of deals, etc.

Head to Detroit and you can get about 30 hookers and a pack of Newports if they didn't raise it past $7.00 yet.
