  1. Oh lawd

If you put a time limit on this, it will only create unneeded expectations and stress. Let things simply progress and happen, move forward without trying and acting at every turn. People tend to set themselves up this way, and eventually fall, hard.
  2. Oh lawd

I have known my ex for 8+ years, seperated for 4, and there is no one who understands me better than she or has been a greater friend. Anyone who has been in a real relationship knows that staying friends shouldn't be an impossible feat. This is a person who you have long confided in, loved, been intimate, laughed and cried with, shared ideas and expressions meant for no other. Although you may not stay lovers, friendship will always be a possibility. Only an inexperienced fool would ignore everything that has happened and what could happen down the road. This is a person who knows and or understands where you have been, where you are, where you are going. I have never been an individual to ignore someone so precious or want them removed entirely from my life. We already face difficulties in our lives, some more so than others. Casting aside those who have already been known to help us through a great number of them, possibly the worst, is an unnecesarry sacrifice. While a stranger can always help get through the littles things, the fact remains, this is still a stranger and won't be able to comfort or satisfy your every need. Being alone is hard enough, knowing that you put yourself in that position is a regret no one wants to face. You don't need to rely or become emotionally dependent on him; everyone needs a shoulder to lean on at times, but there are moments where what is needed and what is the most comforting, can belong to a familiar voice. It won't be easy, of course it will be emotional, and it is fairly obvious you won't forget any time soon. Don't ignore what has happened since it will only makes things worse and certainly influence future relationships. If it was meant to be, it will, but in the meantime trust that something, anything, will eventually happen. What it is exactly, no one will know until then. Goodluck. EDIT: It happens a lot so I suppose i will just say it anyways. Kennith is right in saying "never mention anything about the dating or what went on". I have been down this road, it can easily destroy a person and any potential relationship.
  3. I can't stand cereal for some reason, it just doesn't appeal to me. If I had to choose though, I suspect Honey Bunches of Oats would be ok. Preferable breakfast though? Cup of warm herbal tea with a spoon full of honey, bowl of white rice/single egg over easy ontop, cup of hot & sour soup, toasted piece of bread(lightly buttered), and 2 pieces of a very specific fish I can't seem to be able to find anywhere in this city or the next. As a substitute, the steak morning special at Shapps with texas toast and a tall glass of water.
  4. What's your point? I am asian FYI. Is there something you need to get off your chest?
  5. I would slap Daze. Preferably to get the hamburger out of his chubby hands. Fatso!
  6. Actually, this would certainly seem to be the best option. As I recall in the movie, the places to avoid were enclosed spaces. I would certainly head to the beach or perhaps some national park to ensure I had a place that supplied shelter, food, and water. At the very least, I could end dying in some beautiful, scenic, location. Preferably, taking a midnight stroll under moonlight, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks and sand. I haven't come across anything more calming, and if the world was ending, that is exactly what I would want in order to toss up my arms in defeat, or to continue on.
  7. Being one of the two biggest and most feared kids in the school; Tofushop being the other. The 2nd year at my new school I encountered a bully; he was a real coward and liked to push around and beat up those smaller than himself for no apparent reason. He made the mistake of challenging a group of us and then ended up sucker punching one of the smallest. I moved quickly, striking hard and striking fast. It wasn't long before I had him by the back of the neck and bent him over to knee him in the chest. The second I dropped his head, knee comming in for connection, I felt a sudden pain all across my face. So enraged, so focussed on beating the hell out of this kid, I didn't even realise my brother was also in the fight, that he had just missed his target, and landed a clean right hook across my jaw. The repercussions of having long hair ^ I don't have good memories Bald and I am glad that shit is behind me. This may have been one of the funniest memories I have, but it certainly wasn't something to be proud of. Bah, fucking thread put me in a bad mood now.
  8. OMG ROFL. That has got to be the best prank I have ever seen. I feel sorry as hell for the guy, but damn, LOL.
  9. Then again, it is understandable to say that there is no evidence to suggest God does exist either.
  10. Your teacher told you to do this? I have never been a religious individual but more so a history buff. Taking a look at history, it is difficult not to be a bit skeptical or bias when considering the existence of God, demons, and angels, heaven and hell. I prefer to believe in faith. Concerning the question, whether devils and demons have greater impact over church and praying, I say the answer is fairly obvious. The church is what invented and pushed for the modern depiction of hell, so why wouldn't one consider them to be the most influencial? It doesn't really make much sense to suggest otherwise, unless you are one of those people who believe that "devil went back in time" theory.
  11. Ramen Noodles. Not that shit in a cup either, good old American noodles in a plastic baggish thingy; preferably chicken flavor, but Beef is a close second.
  12. Congratulations. Drive safe, there are a lot of dumbshits out there just waiting to kill.
  13. My sister once grabbed my balls. Well, long story short, happy endings aren't just in fairy tales.
  14. I know full well the inexperienced work in construction, masonry, simply because most hard trades require it. One simply cannot build a house form the foundation up simply by reading about it from a text book; they need on the job training to do so, progress, and become successful. I was merely after some information and you supplied what was expected. I don't believe you were trying to defend yourself and you didn't have to either. It isn't that I will eventually realise, simply that I have already realised and have known. It is true that circumstances need to be right in order to accomplish certain goals, and conditions must be met in order to find those circumstances. You didn't build Rome, you didn't even build a house either from what I see from your explanation, but you help and you did good. ************************************************************************** You mentioned that everything was paid for? I am curious, how much do you think it cost for you to be sent there? Your plane ticket, the car that drove you to the destination, the food, water, housing, toiletries, possible clothing and or medical supplies, anything and everything that allowed you to stay for that 2 week period, then the plane ticket back? Combining it all, how much do you think that bill amounted to? As I said, inexperienced individuals are necesarry to some degree, but I would rather have taken every cent that was given for you to go, and have sent it to help pay for a licensed individual to go in your stead, or to pay for someone already there to continue on. That is just me and how I believe the money would have been better spent. Unlike bodies, transferring money is far less expensive to ship across seas. You thoughts?
  15. Yeah legoland

Legoland is gay, but it is also ingenius. The construction if it has the potential to stay there forever! If that isn't environmental, I don't know what is. Shit, Altanish just reminded me. Yes, Happy B-Day. Are you sure you don't want to go to Chucky Cheese instead? The have that dancing and singing mechanical mouse ooooooo
  16. Considering you worked construction, I highly doubt you meant to lead us to understand that you believe stacking bricks on top of one another is masonry. If you were merely talking about stacking bricks in a far off corner than doesn't involve people or really makes an inpact aside from moving one large pile to another area, then yes, one certainly doesn't need to be a professional and can fly halfway across the world to do it free. This is merely to get some more information, but you mentioned that you have no medical or teaching experience, so I am curious to know if you had any real construction experience beforehand as well? Since you neglected to say anything about actually being licensed, I take it you aren't, correct? There are poor and unfortunate people in every country and every major city across the globe. One of their stories could touch you just as much as the individual over in Haiti or Jarabacoa. ************************************************************************** My point being, there are reasons for deciding to travel halfway across the world to help these particular people when most likely, the dying and dead can be found a mere couple hours drive from your current location. There are reasons for which someone packs up and hauls their ass over to an impoverished country to subject themselves to atrocities that can scare them for life both mental and physical, and change their being right to the core.. It is the reasoning that makes an individual such as myself care and it is that reasoning that allows me to object. You are right, "who the hell cares", who the hell should care? When you see someone care so much about their image, it is difficult to stomache and you have to wonder, why the hell is this person even going? Should they?
  17. I suspects thousands have, but not only that considering I see this thread is atleast a day old. Roughly 10 thousand babies died worldwide as well, possibly more, along with those people that had cancer, disease, general famine, suicide, etc.. I say "had" because of past tense, if you recall that is. How about those rape victims? The molested? Disabled? Tortured perhaps? You can't win them all Xeno, but I will contribute an extra $10 for the entire lot of them, just because I care that deeply. Don't forget I care, the $10 proves it.
  18. Does no one here knownthat both taste and smell are linked? How about the fact that everyone's tastes are different and that our only perception of taste is overall, decided by the brain? Differences people, differences. ***** I would prefer the "just buying another bottle of water" myself than to continuously fill it. Unless of course I were in say a classroom and wanted to make things quick. Still, metal is interesting and nowadays they can be incredibly light in make and model. eh, going with the bottle since I can just toss it afterwards and walk away; I would probably hesitate with a piece of metal.
  19. I think most of us feel the same way, and many have expressed that here.
  20. Although that may be true, thousands of others die as well, at the same time. Who is to say one Haitian life is worth or should be acknowledged more so than another? /thread
  21. I think you missed out on everything we said, but I am just going to assume that is because you were too busy falling in love with your own voice. This won't be an issue when you spend that entire week at Haiti in the warehouse categorizing cases of Aqauafina from Dasani will it? ******* Don't go over there expecting to pull children out from under collapsed buildings, fighting fires, distributing food to that lonely child, or building houses. Expect the warehouse and accept it as the reason why you spent all that money on a plane ticket.
  22. Do you even read the shit you keep shoveling into this thread Flash? Jesus man, if you want to know the problem that we have with you, just take a look at anything and everything you have posted. This isn't even something to be passionate or angry over anymore, you are just sad brother. Considering I have already sent my $10 i collected from my hat, I will leave it as it is.
  23. Job Or School?

I assume you are talking about a part-time, and possibly only on weekends or 2-4 hours in the evening? I would rather have both, but juggling a full time job and being a full time student isn't necesarrily easy or appealing. For now atleast, I will get the education first. I would rather spend a few semesters in a class room and carve out a successful future, than to go straight into a workforce for long hours and shitty pay, grasping for any meager chance and random opportunity that may come my way. Getting a part-time job isn't of the equation, but the working full time career is the second step.
  24. It amazes me you don't realise how utterly offensive and disrespectful you are; not to mention incredibly insulting. Why is it that almost every post you have made so far is a defensive one? You are suppose to be doing good, yet you seem to weigh your appearance more than..well the rest of it all. You post these ridiculously blatant remarks that are nothing more than ignorant, arogant, and idiotic. We aren't making this some kind of competition, only you are. Mikey and myself know you are looking for publicity, but it certainly isn't to shed light on a tragic disaster that befell hundreds of thousands. Go, fly to Haiti and "tag along", and be sure to take it all in. I am looking forward to when you can come back home, wait until spring break passes, and enter into some household or classroom. Be sure to take notice of the expressions given from your classmates, friends, colleagues, and family, when you share that special tale, depicting that whole amazing week in Haiti, doing something you so dearly care about.
  25. I know Mikey, hence me not caring anymore. Still, those boxes don't move themselves from pallet to pallet. Give him a goodluck and perhaps, a bottle of tylenol when he comes back a week later with a backache for not using the proper brace.
