  1. I'll try putting the new auto bhop commands on the server, but the bhop plugin that the timer uses is built into the timer, so I don't believe that adding a different plugin/server commands would change anything. I'll reply back saying how it goes @Post
  2. Always been one for Barq's or IBC root beer.
  3. Congrats to the 3 of you!
  4. Removed surf_faint, and will look into methadone. edit: The timer crashed on methadone, and the server just needed a restart. Should be fine now @Matty
  5. The Wawa Movie

    Embrace your true self, Mattime.
  6. Sorry, but CSS hours won't be counted. Records of play time for those servers no longer exist, so these awards will just be having a fresh start with the CSGO servers. Play time isn't recorded on surf, and these are just for our four core servers where the most time gets spent.
  7. Probably better to keep them with their blue theme rather than repeating that same color scheme, but the 10 year one might be changed in the future when that time comes
  8. These have been in the making for a long time, but they're finally ready to be released! To start off with, we have 3 new awards for referrals. For those who don't know, when a new member registers on the forums, there is an option for them to put the name of the person who referred them to register on the website. For referring 1, 5, and 15 members, you will be able to request a new tier of the award. - 1 referral - 5 referrals - 15 referrals Notes: - You can see the amount of referrals you have on the very bottom of the "About Me" section of your profile. - Don't be the person who creates new accounts and use yourself as the referral - it's fairly easy to tell when this is the case, and it won't be counted. Next, we have some server specific awards. These are based on total playtime in our 4 core servers, ZE, PB, TTT, and MG. The bronze awards require 1 day spent on each server, the silver 5, the gold 15, and the diamond 30. - Jailbreak - Zombie Escape - Trouble in Terrorist Town - Minigames Notes: - You can check your play time for the servers here, by either searching for your steam ID or the name you usually go by. It will show your total playtime in that server under "player information". - Spectator time won't count towards these, so don't expect to sit in spectator for a few days and easily get the award. Take this into account when looking at your total play time - it shows your total amount of time in spectator a little bit down the page. - Although GameMe lists playtime by hours, these awards go by days. 1 day = 24 hours, 5 days = 120 hours, 15 days = 360 hours, and 30 days = 720 hours. It might seem like a large amount of playtime, but they're designed to reward the most dedicated players, and create something to work towards. - Similar to the loyalty awards, you can only have 1 award per server - the highest of which you qualify for. - You don't need to provide proof of your play time, CAs will be confirming it themselves. - If you want to make the CAs lives easier, feel free to include your steam ID in the request. Special thanks to @Unnamed Newbie for the original concept and design for the server awards, @Post for creating/revamping all of images, @Revenga for uploading the images, and all the CA+ who will happily approve all the requests for these. You can view these awards here, and request any that apply to you. Enjoy!
  9. This And especially this, an interview for a position such as admin on a gaming community is pretty unnecessary. Unless @Goku wants to be our official admin applicant interviewer
  10. Been a pleasure working with you, @Wawa. Thanks for being such a great part of the community, and best of luck with the job/house search/family.
  11. It's unfortunate, but there is no solution to eliminating personal bias. It will exist in any system of voting, regardless of the topic. Yes, people are more likely to vote for/recommend their friends, but this could be simply because they are friends, and get to know each other better and on a more personal level than strangers would. If someone votes "yes, he is my friend", then obviously the vote will be deleted, but for the most part, people do give justified reasons when giving their support, even to their friends. I've seen dozens of applications where someone got called out for acting differently around normal players than they do admins, but this is expected when around someone of higher status than you, both online here and in person. If it becomes a problem (i.e. someone being a complete douche to other players but sucking up to admins, which usually seems to be the case), it gets called out more often than not and reflects badly on the applicant. I agree that people will always be influenced by others, but I wouldn't say it's always a negative thing. Seeing others opinions on someone can help you realize/notice something you didn't before about the applicant, then you play with them again and realize that it's true, and vote accordingly. I haven't seen any recent examples at all about someone receiving admin solely based off of what others said, and bandwagonning on a support train. Yes, some people may let other's opinions influence their vote, but I have yet to see an app that was decided solely off of this idea. If anything, I would imagine it being more of a problem with applications which get reapplied, but in the end, there is a valid reason for them receiving the reapply votes, as long as the votes are justified.
  12. His point on getting CA in 7 months is that people are more than capable of judging how a person is in a shorter amount of time than a full 6 months. Ghost and many other recent admins received admin in far less than 6 months (one being as short as one month), and losing out on the opportunity to gain these admins because some people are unable to judge a person in a shorter amount of time would be unfortunate, both for the admin themself and the community. The admin system is supposed to be a smooth process and ideally, we would like to keep gaining new admins who do a good job rather than make them wait for a long perioid of time, when it's clear that they would be capable of handling it. We had such a small influx of admins with some of our older systems, and the lack of admins was one of the reasons the community got stuck in a hole. This system can't assure that an admin will do a good job, but if they don't, it's fairly easy to see and handle accordingly. I'm not sure where this whole manipulation argument comes from (aside from one recent application which didn't turn out well), especially considering in the past 4 months we have only gotten 2 entirely new admins, both of which seem to be doing a great job. Of course I can't speak with certainty here as no single person is capable of seeing everything that goes down, but if this whole manipulation thing does exist, then it's not working out very well for those who are using it. These kinds of votes have no weight at all, and will have no impact on the outcome of the application. It's also fairly easy to see when someone puts no thought at all into their vote, or votes for wrong reasons, and more often than not they get called out for it. In literally any voting system people will base their vote off of dumb reasons, but that's just something that needs to be corrected as it happens.
  13. Also, prophunt requires a decent amount of people to be playing for people to be having a good time, which is pretty hard to achieve with a dedicated server (i.e. deathrun). When we do special events like these, people get excited for it because it's something different and fun, and a large amount of people join the server. After people grow tired of it, the population significantly drops and few people join at a time, and it will very rarely (if ever) be populated like how it is for events. I can't see a dedicated server attracting that many new members to join the community, and would imagine people get bored of it pretty fast. Seems better to just create the event server every now and then and have a fun time with that.
  14. I never said no such thing exists, I simply said that this is not the way the map is intended to be used on timer servers, which is the way the timer creator configured it for some awful reason. Removing it for now.
  15. Added
  16. Hope everything goes well, take as much time away as you need.
  17. Should be fine now, thanks for posting.
  18. Here is a list of every map on the server, under it's respective tier. This can be accessed any time in game by typing !tiers Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4: Tier 5: Tier 6:
  19. 9/15/2016 - Server is open once again with the new timer: http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=560
  20. After hours of uploading new maps, the server is finally back up! Changes made: - New timer - All maps that came with the timer are on the rotation: tiers 1-6 -New commands: New chatranks (these will more than likely be changed very soon): -The constant crashes should be fixed If you have any questions/notice any glitches/see any broken maps or map downloads, feel free to post them below. Expect more changes to come soon. Special thanks to @R3TROATTACK for helping fix a few issues. Enjoy
